“No matter what he did to you, you shouldn’t have hit him. Initially, I didn’t want to believe that you could do such a thing, but I guess I was wrong."
“I am not going to go back and forth with you, but I was not in the wrong for what I did; he had it coming, plus you already have what you wanted to believe in your mind, so no matter what I say, you still wouldn’t believe me; you have already made up your mind.” He responded as he hung up the phone and kept it in his pocket. He was angry that Karina was confronting him about the situation.

Meanwhile, inside Karina’s office, she was stunned that Nathan ended the call on her. This was the first time he ended a call with her. ‘What has gotten into him? He didn’t even allow me to speak; he just went ahead and ended the call on me. Or is he mad about the whole divorce?’ she wondered. But she didn’t want to think too much about the whole thing; the most important thing was that she confronted him about what he had done to his brother.
“I have to get back to work,” she mumbled. She had a lot of presentations that she was working on. The most important thing she was working on now was promoting a corporation between her company and the Smith family; she wanted to expand her reach to the richest family in Lothric.

Back at the Smith’s mansion, as Nathan was about to head back into the living room to meet up with Gwen, his phone started ringing. He took it out and saw that it was Deltrey Hamel calling him. He quickly answered the call; he wanted to question him about why he had set him up with Gwen Smith.
“Why…” Before Nathan could speak, Deltrey cut him off.
“Please forgive me, please; I didn’t mean to set you up with Gwen Smith without your knowledge,” Deltrey begged on the other end. He knew what Nathan was capable of and was completely afraid of him.
“Then why did you do it?” Nathan inquired, wanting to know the reason why, because he knew there was an ulterior motive for it.
"Please don’t get angry, but I did it for your own benefit to help you get the information that you were looking for. The thing is, I discovered that the bomb that killed your parents was a private order received by my men. But the group’s equipment used to be strictly controlled, and only one scientific research director has the authority to activate the bombing equipment’s,” Deltrey explained.
But Nathan wondered what the research director had to do with Gwen Smith as he looked around him to make sure that no one was listening in on the conversation, and there was no one listening.
“What’s the relationship between this scientific research director and Gwen Smith or the Smith family?” He asked in a low tone.
“This authorized scientific research leader had worked for the Smith family for five years before coming to Hamel Group. I had a theory that maybe someone from the Smith family had seen him, or maybe the Smith family was the one that asked him to make the bomb specifically for them,” Deltrey speculated.
“Hmmm, is that so?" Nathan was happy that he was finally getting some clue on a platter of gold.
"Alright, thanks for the information,” he added as he ended the call. He was happy that the information that he had been looking for from Deltrey had finally come to him.
After that, Nathan went back into the living room with Gwen as he sat down in front of him.
“You took a while with your call,” she complained. She has been waiting for him for several minutes.
“I am sorry about that,” he replied. Nathan wanted to play everything cool with Gwen and make sure that she didn’t suspect anything about him.
Gwen stood up from the couch. “So, shall we head over to Beloberg Central Hospital now? The car that will take us is ready; my grandfather is in critical condition,” she said.
“Of course, let’s head out,” he replied as he also stood up.

Nathan and Gwen arrived at the hospital; she took him over to the VIP ward, where his grandfather was being treated. As they arrived inside the ward, they saw multiple doctors that surrounded the old man on the bed; they were all wearing white lab coats. A lady approached Gwen and Nathan; she was Gwen’s younger sister Emily, who was in her early 20s.
“These doctors are useless! They can’t cure Granddad at all; what are we going to do?” Emily complained, staring at Gwen with a chaotic look on her face.
“Don’t worry, I brought a doctor here; he can cure him,” Gwen responded as he ambled over to where the other doctor was surrounding the bed.
“Please, all of you should step aside; Nathan is going to take over the treatment of my grandfather!” Gwen yelled at all the doctors. All the doctors quickly listened to her as they went out of the ward without objecting to her decision.
Emily was shocked at what Gwen said as she looked at Nathan from head to toe. She wondered whether only Nathan could handle something that about four doctors have been trying to treat since with no progress. He felt that Nathan was not qualified enough to treat her grandfather by just looking at him.
“Wait, are you sure he can treat his grandfather? Does he even have a license to be a doctor? He doesn’t even look qualified,” Emily asked multiple questions as she turned to look at Gwen.
Gwen came over to where Emily was in front of Nathan. “Don’t worry, I am sure he’s very qualified to treat grandfather; he was recommended to me by Deltrey Hamel. I am sure he will get the job done; he’s our only hope; let’s put our trust in him.” Gwen responded, giving Emily the assurance.
