“Do you know him?” Lady Kent asked.

Her gaze darted between Austin and Jeremy. She couldn’t wait to hear what Mr. Heron had to say, so she took matters into her own hands.

“What have you done to Mr. Heron?” She spat, “Do you know who he is?”

The room fell into stunned silence. The warmth and gratitude from moments earlier seemed to evaporate, replaced by a rising tension. All eyes turned to Austin, who remained calm despite the hostility suddenly directed at him. He couldn’t understand why Lady Kent’s demeanour had shifted so dramatically, especially after Jeremy Heron walked in.

Dr. Lucy and the other doctors exchanged uncertain glances. Their expressions reflected a mixture of confusion and concern. No one had anticipated this confrontation

“Why are you yelling at him, Lady Kent?” Jeremy asked.

Lady Kent turned to Jeremy, her tone shifting into one of forced restraint and guilt. “Mr. Heron, I am truly sorry. If my guest has offended you in any way in the past… please, for my sake

The room fell into a heavy silence as Ryan’s command echoed. One of the IT personnel arrived, clutching a black laptop and a portable hard drive. He moved with deliberate urgency, sensing the weight of the moment. All eyes turned toward him, and even the most sceptical among the staff grew quiet.“Set it up here,” Ryan said firmly, pointing to the table in the centre of the office.Dave’s breathing grew erratic. His shirt clung to his skin, damp with sweat. Every second felt like a needle stabbing into his nerves. He tried to keep a brave face, but the slight quiver in his hands betrayed his growing panic. He was dumbstruck, Hannah clutched her hands tightly, her chest rising and falling as she blinked back tears, hoping for vindication. Austin stood with an unreadable expression. The IT technician connected the hard drive and began scrubbing through the footage. The screen flickered briefly before a crystal-clear recording from earlier in the day came into view. The time stamp in t

Dave narrowed his gaze over Austin’s shoulder and found Hannah. “What are you doing here and who the hell did you bring to my office? You should get lost before I call the security guards to throw you out.”Austin glared at him and, without warning, he marched forward and slapped Dave hard across his face!Dave groaned in pain, “Who the fu*k are you? How dare you hit me?”Hannah was stunned by Austin’s action, she knew something was about to happen. The last time she saw him angry was at her father’s mansion and things didn’t end on a good note.“How dare I slap you? I am going to kill you for laying your hands on her.” He slapped Dave again, this time it was harder than the previous one. Dave’s lost two of his teeth, and blood gushed out from his mouth. “I will make sure you pay, I will not only kill you but I will make sure your manhood never gets to stand again.”The scene was becoming chaotic, and Dave trembled in fear and panic.Just then, two security guards rushed into the r

After a few minutes, he raised his brow, leaning forward as he cleared his throat. “Hannah Prescott,” he said, glancing down at the papers in front of him before meeting her eyes. “You have a strong résumé, impressive, actually. But I can’t help but wonder…” He leaned back slightly, folding his hands. “Why did you leave the Prescott Group? That’s your family’s company, isn’t it?”Hannah straightened in her seat, her hands folded tightly in her lap to keep them from fidgeting. She inhaled slowly, steadying herself before answering.“Thank you, sir,” she began, her voice calm but earnest. “I didn’t leave Prescott because I wanted to walk away from it. I left because I needed to step out of the shadow of my father’s name. I wanted to prove that I could build something on my own, that I’m more than just the daughter of a successful CEO.”There was a brief silence as her words settled in the room. She held his gaze, trying not to let the nerves show. “I wanted to earn respect based on my

Aaron returned home that night and found Hannah going through her folder with her face etched with worry. She wasn’t aware of what was happening around her, lost in a deep focus, as she flipped through the pages. Austin tapped her and she was startled by the unexpected incident. “You scared me.” She said with her hand placed on her chest which was beating fast.“I am sorry,” he apologised, “What are you doing? Why are you still awake at this time?” He looked at the folder and back at Hannah. She couldn’t help but let out a soft sigh, “I am planning for my interview tomorrow,”Austin raised a brow, “interview,” She nodded, “Yes, I need to keep myself busy and not stay at home. I have an interview scheduled tomorrow with Hax Enterprise, a friend of mine helped me out with submitting my credentials, and I received a call earlier today asking me to come over for an interview. So I am trying to put my stuff together.”He was surprised, he had already requested Jame Clark to set up a
