This event sent waves of uncontrollable joy through Mathis’ chest.

However, he tried to remain calm.

Mathis began to resume his role of bringing down Rael.

He started acting with a sad expression on his face.

“I’m sad to say so, but it’s truly unfortunate that the evidence is genuine.”

“This is completely unacceptable!”

“How could an official casually purchase luxury properties and then indulge in the company of so many women without stealing from the state’s funds?”

“Is that even possible?”

“If Rael is truly not involved with many prostitutes and supporting so many mistresses of his, then how can there be routine transactions of thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars to these women?”

“Meanwhile, the people pay taxes to make Noorhaven a better place.”

“But unfortunately, corrupt officials have ruined the trust of the people!”

Mathis placed his hand over his chest, as if deeply disappointed and saddened.

“It turns out that we’ve all been deceived by the holy mask of Rael Vinsion.”

“But fortunately, now we all know his true face—nothing more than a parasite.”

“With all the evil Rael Vinsion has done, he rightfully belongs on the list of state enemies who deserve disgrace and severe punishment!”

Mathis' brief speech burned in Joel’s chest.

He growled, “What nonsense!”

Joel still clearly remembered how Lord of the Scorpion’s men treated Rael with such respect.

This made Joel feel that he couldn’t stay silent any longer.

However, before Joel could act, Damarion stopped him.

“Don’t act hastily, Mr. Myers.”

“I know you’re angry, I am too.”

“However, Oberon has arranged Lord Vinsion’s arrest in such a way.”

“So if you stand up to defend him now, it will be in vain.”

“A fool like Mathis will never listen to you.”

“I think a man like Mathis will never stop slandering Lord Vinsion, and he will regret it only after hitting a wall hard.”

Damarion sighed deeply as if he were exhausted and pessimistic about Noorhaven’s future.

“I think it’s time for me to start thinking about retirement and moving to another state.”

“Noorhaven is no longer safe. Without Lord Vinsion, this place will soon be in chaos.”

Joel sighed and nodded in agreement.

“You’re right, Mr. Travis. From now on, we don’t know whether we’ll continue to live or die miserably.”

While Damarion and Joel continued muttering to each other, Mathis led the group of officials to the Gold Throne complex.

Although they’ve heard of how luxurious and grand it was, they had never visited it in person.

Upon arriving, the officials were astonished by the community.

The grand buildings with beautiful gardens were neatly lined up.

The main road appeared massive, wide enough to fit four buses side by side.

In addition, there were elite hospitals, luxurious and comfortable malls, and top-tier private schools ranging from elementary to university levels established there.

“My goodness… this place is perfect. The property prices here must be astronomical!”

“You’re right. I heard the cheapest property here costs ten million dollars, while the most expensive can reach two billion.”

“Goodness, is there anyone who can actually afford to buy this?”

“Of course, there is.”

“I’m curious, what kind of people are able to purchase properties at such fantastic prices?”

Mathis emphasized to the officials, “Gentlemen, have you forgotten that Rael owns dozens of properties here, and their total value exceeds two billion?”

“If we think clearly, where could Rael have gotten that much money?”

“As officials of Noorhaven, you all surely know the salary of a government official here and can predict the wealth range of one, as well as the source of their income.”

“If Rael wasn’t involved in various crimes, how could he possibly have such a large sum of money to buy properties in this area?”

“Also, how could he afford to support such a large number of women every month?”

Mathis' statement immediately shook the officials’ faith in Rael.

“You’re right, Mr. Huber. Lord Vinsion’s wealth is indeed questionable.”

“He thought he could deceive us forever. Now we all know Lord Vinsion’s true nature.”

“Please stop calling him Lord Vinsion. He’s nothing but a filthy liar and a thief who stole the people’s money!”

“You’re right. He deserves a harsh punishment!”

Secretly, Mathis smiled as the officials began to openly question Rael's sincerity in managing Noorhaven and began to insult him.

Mathis' gaze then shifted toward Damarion and Joel, who had not been swept up in his scheme from the start.

In his heart, he wanted to humiliate Damarion because he had defended Rael during his welcoming dinner.

In a provocative tone, Mathis addressed the officials.

“Ladies and gentlemen, to see more clearly the depravity of Rael, let us take a direct look at Rael’s ‘harem’ in the Gold Throne.”

“After this, I’m sure there will be no more doubts in your hearts about who Rael Vinsion truly is.”

“A villain disguised as an angel, like Rael, does not deserve our trust or the trust of the people!”

Mathis’ words were so firm, as though he represented justice.

No one knew how eagerly he wanted to erase any influence Rael had over the officials and eliminate all doubts about the accusations he had made against him.

This included Damarion and Joel.

The officials followed Mathis’ gaze as well.

They all knew Damarion and Joel were loyal supporters of Rael.

They wondered how these two felt now that the truth was about to be revealed.

Unfortunately, Damarion was already completely disillusioned with his sly plans.

He didn’t even bother to look back at them and turned his face away.

At that moment, Mathis felt immense satisfaction.

He assumed that Damarion was doing this out of shame.

‘Now you understand why Rael deserves to be in prison, don’t you?’

On the designated day and time, as planned, Leith arranged for the arrival of the foreign individuals in Nymbrial County to discuss his illegal business. However, they remained cautious, arriving without bringing any illegal goods, unlike their usual practice.Furthermore, Leith deliberately spread rumors about the foreigners’ arrival to gauge Rael’s reaction.Leith gave orders to his men, “Watch and observe! Make sure you report to me if you see any movement from Lord Vinsion’s subordinates. If there are any.”They all nodded in unison. “Understood.”Not long after, news of the illegal immigrants’ entry quickly spread because many officials who had previously worked under Rael had either resigned or been dismissed. As a result, Nymbrial County was understaffed to handle urgent matters like this. The news soon reached Oberon and Mathis.Oberon’s eyebrows furrowed deeply. “Illegal immigrant? How is that even possible?”Mathis’s expression also showed concern. After all, during the four

The wave of strikes and mass resignations by state officials in Noorhaven had truly shaken Oberon and Mathis.Mathis muttered, "Why is it that after I took over this state, I have to face such chaos?""Regardless, this turmoil must not drag on, or it will disrupt regional stability and development."More than that, Oberon was even angrier, almost tempted to flip the table in front of him. He completely lost his appetite. Clenching his teeth in frustration, his fury boiled over. The officials' demands to release Rael and their threats of a work strike had truly pushed Oberon's patience to its limit."Fine. If they want to strike or even resign!""I don't care!""In fact, this is an excellent opportunity for Noorhaven to get rid of Rael's loyalists and replace them with new officials who are more open-minded and willing to cooperate with me!""The notion that Noorhaven cannot function properly without Rael is utterly ridiculous!"As Oberon envisioned replacing the officials with talente

Oberon’s idea sounded excellent to Mathis. In that moment, Mathis regained his determination to confront Rael and secure his position in Noorhaven.“That’s brilliant, Mr. Hanson!”Spontaneously, Mathis clapped his hands in delight, praising the clever plan of his future father-in-law. The smile on Mathis’ face reflected his newfound optimism, as if he could hit Rael away like a fly.Oberon nodded.“For now, I’ve already sent my men to investigate the officials who have complaints about Rael.”“To regain your energy, I think you should rest early.”Mathis nodded in agreement.“Sure.”He then retreated to his bedroom. After a long and exhausting day, Mathis felt he needed time to recharge and prepare himself for the challenges of tomorrow.Even so, as he lay on his bed, Mathis couldn’t stop thinking about Rael.“That bastard…”“At least you’re rotting in the dungeon, living a miserable life!”Mathis tried to comfort himself, and the thought of Rael being imprisoned lifted his spirits.Ho

After thinking for quite a while, Oberon finally had an idea.“Mr. Huber, I have an idea!”Lucan stared sharply at Oberon.“Speak!”Oberon quickly explained, “To divert the officials’ attention from the misunderstanding at Rael’s warehouses, we need to create news that will ruin Rael’s reputation!”“I’ll make the public aware that Rael often uses his dark powers to oppress capable officials and prevent them from getting promotions.”“Meanwhile, he allows incompetent officials to retain their positions!”According to Oberon, Rael had always been known for his good reputation because he had done many good deeds. Therefore, exposing Rael’s true face to the public was the right step to destroy their trust in him.Additionally, this diversion would also make the public aware that Rael had been hindering the country’s growth.Oberon’s previously pale face started to shine with optimism.“One more thing. The public must also know that Rael is collaborating with the Lord of the Scorpion at th

The sharp words from the official on the other end of the line slowly erased the smile from Lucan’s face.Shaking his head in frustration, Lucan retorted, “Are you so envious of Mathis’s accomplishments at such a young age that you resort to making false accusations against him?”In short, Lucan trusted Mathis more than the official on the phone.“You shouldn’t believe everything on TV just because it’s aired there!”The official sneered, “You shouldn’t blindly trust Mathis either!”“I understand he’s your son. But does a father simply stand by when his son does something wrong?”“Let me make one thing clear to you, Mr. Huber. I’m not saying this out of jealousy, as you’ve accused!”“But because the state of Noorhaven has already sent evidence to the capital!”“Every official in the capital now knows about the fraudulent actions of your son!”Without waiting for Lucan’s response, the official ended the call abruptly. The harsh manner of the official left Lucan stunned, speechless for

The reporter's question couldn't help but draw the attention of the officials and bank staff present at the scene. They all looked at the reporter with disgusted expressions. At that moment, the reporter's body felt an inexplicable chill.Hurriedly, the reporter said, “Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I am Aiden Russell, a reporter from Nooria News Channel.”With a professional smile, Aiden asked again, “So, is it true that Rael Vinsion is involved in a massive embezzlement case?”The bank staff did not immediately answer the reporter's question. Instead, he simply handed over an envelope that was in his hand to the reporter. Aiden took the envelope with a confused expression.“Are you trying to bribe me so I won’t report this case?”The bank staff's face turned sour, and he replied, “Just open the envelope. You’ll find out what’s really going on here.”Although hesitant, Aiden finally opened the envelope in his hand. The reporter's eyes narrowed when he saw that the envelope
