A few moments later, the group of officials arrived at the house closest to the gates of the Gold Throne.

Mathis then took out a stack of documents and walked toward the door of the luxurious house.

He turned to his subordinates.

“Prepare yourselves. After this, you will begin the investigation.”

Mathis’ subordinates nodded in unison.

“Understood, Sir.”

Once everything was ready, Mathis made a phone call to Oberon.

At the same time, Oberon was holding a video conference with governors from other states, exchanging experiences and stories.

In the middle of the conference, Oberon’s smartphone rang, displaying the name Mathis Huber.

Excited, Oberon quickly answered the call, “Mathis, how’s everything going now?”

Mathis responded.

“I’m currently in front of one of Rael’s properties. Ready to expose his true color.”

At that moment, something struck Oberon’s mind.

Why not take this opportunity to tarnish Rael’s reputation in front of the other governors?

A sly smile appeared on Oberon’s lips.

“Good. Don’t end the call just yet.”

“I want you to live-stream the raid so I can share that moment with the other governors.”

Mathis immediately understood Oberon’s intent and purpose.

And a broad smile appeared on his face.

Brilliant!

He nodded right away.

“Sure.”

Meanwhile, Oberon felt pleased.

He hoped that his plan would not only boost Mathis' reputation but also destroy Rael’s.

Killing two birds with one stone wasn’t hard for him, was it?

He couldn't help but feel a smug sense of satisfaction.

After the call ended, Mathis handed his smartphone to one of his subordinates and began the live-stream.

He then stepped in front of the camera to directly follow up on the investigation.

Meanwhile, in front of the governors, Oberon began to explain Rael’s background and the crimes he had committed.

“As someone who once knew Rael very well, I feel deceived.”

“After all this time trusting him, it turns out he repaid me and Noorhaven by buying luxurious properties for his own benefit and funding sex parties with state money.”

“Is such behavior really acceptable?”

“Worse than that, it’s not just the adult women in Rael’s harem. There are also underage girls, more than a hundred of them in total.”

“This is truly outrageous!”

The information that Oberon just shared immediately made the blood of the other governors boil.

“This is completely intolerable!”

“A criminal like Rael must not get away with this!”

“This man is truly insane, committing layered crimes!”

“He deserves to be castrated in the traditional way before being executed!”

The anger from the governors of the other states made Oberon feel pleased and satisfied.

After making sure the governors could see the live stream that Mathis was making, Oberon signaled to Mathis to begin his actions.

Excitedly, Mathis rubbed his hands together and eagerly began the investigation.

A sense of exhilaration filled his chest.

‘See? This is your time of destruction, Rael!’

Mathis Huber smiled inwardly.

Soon he’d receive all the praise and admiration from all the people of Noorhaven!

Mathis pressed the bell button beside the door.

“Ding Dong!”

Then Mathis stood in front of the camera near the doorbell.

“Good afternoon. I am Mathis Huber, a government investigator assigned to investigate this place.”

“Please come out immediately and cooperate during this investigation!”

Meanwhile, the officers behind Mathis stretched their necks to get a better look at Rael’s harem.

They were curious to see just how beautiful the women who were supposedly sleeping with Rael were.

“Do you think they’re really inside?”

“If so, I want to know what Rael’s taste is.”

“From what I know, Rael is engaged to the beautiful and sexy daughter of Governor Oberon Hanson.”

“Could it be that Miss Hanson isn’t satisfying Rael, so he built a harem to fulfill his desires?”

“Whatever the case, if he’s enjoying himself with taxpayer money, it’s still unacceptable!”

The large door with intricate dragon carvings creaked open, causing the hearts of everyone in front of the lavish building to race in anticipation.

Mathis clenched his fist tightly to control the surge of excitement in his chest.

Joel and Damarion began to be affected by the tension in the air.

They also nervously lifted their gazes toward the door that was slowly opening.

Quietly, Joel felt anxious for Rael and also confused.

Because Rael had seemed so calm earlier, even after Mathis accused him of bedding numerous women.

Joel asked, “Mr. Travis, do you have any answers to these accusations?”

Unfortunately, Damarion immediately shook his head.

“I don’t know.”

Joel couldn't help but wipe away the non-existent sweat on his forehead.

He couldn’t understand what had made Rael so calm this morning, despite facing such serious accusations.

In his heart, Joel hoped to soon discover the truth.

‘Lord Vinsion, I hope you are proved innocent.’

As everyone’s gaze was fixed on the door, it finally swung wide open.

On the designated day and time, as planned, Leith arranged for the arrival of the foreign individuals in Nymbrial County to discuss his illegal business. However, they remained cautious, arriving without bringing any illegal goods, unlike their usual practice.Furthermore, Leith deliberately spread rumors about the foreigners’ arrival to gauge Rael’s reaction.Leith gave orders to his men, “Watch and observe! Make sure you report to me if you see any movement from Lord Vinsion’s subordinates. If there are any.”They all nodded in unison. “Understood.”Not long after, news of the illegal immigrants’ entry quickly spread because many officials who had previously worked under Rael had either resigned or been dismissed. As a result, Nymbrial County was understaffed to handle urgent matters like this. The news soon reached Oberon and Mathis.Oberon’s eyebrows furrowed deeply. “Illegal immigrant? How is that even possible?”Mathis’s expression also showed concern. After all, during the four

The wave of strikes and mass resignations by state officials in Noorhaven had truly shaken Oberon and Mathis.Mathis muttered, "Why is it that after I took over this state, I have to face such chaos?""Regardless, this turmoil must not drag on, or it will disrupt regional stability and development."More than that, Oberon was even angrier, almost tempted to flip the table in front of him. He completely lost his appetite. Clenching his teeth in frustration, his fury boiled over. The officials' demands to release Rael and their threats of a work strike had truly pushed Oberon's patience to its limit."Fine. If they want to strike or even resign!""I don't care!""In fact, this is an excellent opportunity for Noorhaven to get rid of Rael's loyalists and replace them with new officials who are more open-minded and willing to cooperate with me!""The notion that Noorhaven cannot function properly without Rael is utterly ridiculous!"As Oberon envisioned replacing the officials with talente

Oberon’s idea sounded excellent to Mathis. In that moment, Mathis regained his determination to confront Rael and secure his position in Noorhaven.“That’s brilliant, Mr. Hanson!”Spontaneously, Mathis clapped his hands in delight, praising the clever plan of his future father-in-law. The smile on Mathis’ face reflected his newfound optimism, as if he could hit Rael away like a fly.Oberon nodded.“For now, I’ve already sent my men to investigate the officials who have complaints about Rael.”“To regain your energy, I think you should rest early.”Mathis nodded in agreement.“Sure.”He then retreated to his bedroom. After a long and exhausting day, Mathis felt he needed time to recharge and prepare himself for the challenges of tomorrow.Even so, as he lay on his bed, Mathis couldn’t stop thinking about Rael.“That bastard…”“At least you’re rotting in the dungeon, living a miserable life!”Mathis tried to comfort himself, and the thought of Rael being imprisoned lifted his spirits.Ho

After thinking for quite a while, Oberon finally had an idea.“Mr. Huber, I have an idea!”Lucan stared sharply at Oberon.“Speak!”Oberon quickly explained, “To divert the officials’ attention from the misunderstanding at Rael’s warehouses, we need to create news that will ruin Rael’s reputation!”“I’ll make the public aware that Rael often uses his dark powers to oppress capable officials and prevent them from getting promotions.”“Meanwhile, he allows incompetent officials to retain their positions!”According to Oberon, Rael had always been known for his good reputation because he had done many good deeds. Therefore, exposing Rael’s true face to the public was the right step to destroy their trust in him.Additionally, this diversion would also make the public aware that Rael had been hindering the country’s growth.Oberon’s previously pale face started to shine with optimism.“One more thing. The public must also know that Rael is collaborating with the Lord of the Scorpion at th

The sharp words from the official on the other end of the line slowly erased the smile from Lucan’s face.Shaking his head in frustration, Lucan retorted, “Are you so envious of Mathis’s accomplishments at such a young age that you resort to making false accusations against him?”In short, Lucan trusted Mathis more than the official on the phone.“You shouldn’t believe everything on TV just because it’s aired there!”The official sneered, “You shouldn’t blindly trust Mathis either!”“I understand he’s your son. But does a father simply stand by when his son does something wrong?”“Let me make one thing clear to you, Mr. Huber. I’m not saying this out of jealousy, as you’ve accused!”“But because the state of Noorhaven has already sent evidence to the capital!”“Every official in the capital now knows about the fraudulent actions of your son!”Without waiting for Lucan’s response, the official ended the call abruptly. The harsh manner of the official left Lucan stunned, speechless for

The reporter's question couldn't help but draw the attention of the officials and bank staff present at the scene. They all looked at the reporter with disgusted expressions. At that moment, the reporter's body felt an inexplicable chill.Hurriedly, the reporter said, “Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I am Aiden Russell, a reporter from Nooria News Channel.”With a professional smile, Aiden asked again, “So, is it true that Rael Vinsion is involved in a massive embezzlement case?”The bank staff did not immediately answer the reporter's question. Instead, he simply handed over an envelope that was in his hand to the reporter. Aiden took the envelope with a confused expression.“Are you trying to bribe me so I won’t report this case?”The bank staff's face turned sour, and he replied, “Just open the envelope. You’ll find out what’s really going on here.”Although hesitant, Aiden finally opened the envelope in his hand. The reporter's eyes narrowed when he saw that the envelope
