At that moment, as Sarah was desperately searching for Hector, that was when she spotted him standing near the front of the crowd and rushed toward him, pushing people out of her way.

“Hector! Hector, please wait!” she called out breathlessly.

When she reached him, she immediately dropped to her knees, she knows this was the only way out, she knows Hector would never see her on her knees and don't forgive her, and accept her back, she's the must beautiful girl in school, and he just can't get his head off him, and immediately she started pleading.

“Everything you saw back there was a huge mistake! James and his family deceived me - they manipulated me into thinking I needed them. I have absolutely nothing to do with James anymore, I swear!”

Hector looked down at her with cold, emotionless eyes.

“There's no way I'm ever going to accept you back, Sarah.”

“But can't you see it was all just a terrible mistake?” Sarah's voice got more desperate.

“Even though I know you're poor again - I know you gave away all your lottery money to charity just now - I still came here to beg you to be my boyfriend!”

Tears started forming in her eyes as she continued her performance.

“I'm not after your money at this point, Hector. All I have for you is pure love and nothing more. I'm willing to lose everything for you!”

She grabbed onto his legs like she was drowning.

“I know I did you wrong by not giving you shares in Fashion Icon before. But I'll make it right! I'll give you twenty percent of the company right now, and we can discuss kicking James family completely out of it later.”

“All of this I'll do for you if you just accept me back, Hector. Please!” Sarah begged, still clinging to his legs.

At that moment Hector stood there in complete silence, looking down at her with an unreadable expression. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Students around them started to notice the drama and began whispering and pointing.

After what felt like forever, Hector finally opened his mouth.

“No.”

That single word hit Sarah like a lightning bolt. Her heart seized up in her chest, and she felt like she couldn't breathe.

But before she could even process the full impact of his rejection, the spokesman's voice boomed across the football pitch through the loudspeakers.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we will now call forward our lucky winner!”

Sarah's entire body started shaking uncontrollably. Once Hector walked up there and received that 25 million dollar check, every girl in the university would be throwing themselves at him. She had to secure him now, before it was too late.

The whole football pitch became dead silent as thousands of students held their breath in anticipation.

In that moment of complete silence, Sarah screamed at the top of her lungs: “I LOVE YOU, HECTOR ROSS!”

Just then, the winner's name echoed across the entire campus.

“James Wesley!”
