Exploring The Strange Place

This was the second time she was here. The first was at the party and now in the class.

"Welcome!," A voice boomed, scaring the hell out of Emily as she looked around the place.

Just like before, it was just the blood red moon hanging low, and the trees, then birds chirping happily seemingly not to have noticed her presence.

Emily looked around, surveying her surroundings. She was unsure if she should take the first step, after all, she didn't know how dangerous this place was but she had to find out where she was.

Gritting her teeth, Emily slowly took a step. She was afraid she would be stuck in a spot just like the first time.

Even though the strange voice she heard scared the daylight out of her, she could sense there was no malice in the voice and thus was confident that nothing would happen to her.

Stabilizing her trembling body and breathing, Emily inhaled heavily as she took the next step.

Soon Emily was moving slowly amongst the trees, walking slowly and making sure she was avoiding any obstacle.

Three hours later, Emily was sweating all over as she had been walking for the past three hours.

Her steps had changed from slow to fast and when it got to a point she started running but still, she couldn't reach the end of the forest.

It seemed as if the forest was endless and no matter how fast or slow she walked there seemed to be no hope of seeing the end of it.

She began to regret moving from where she was to explore the unknown place.

In the past three hours, she had tried to talk to the unknown voice but it seemed to have suddenly vanished and wouldn't reply no matter what she said.

Emily had become fed up because of this and didn't know what to do again.

The only option she had was to continue walking forward even though she didn't know where the forest led to.

She was quite worried her friends would be looking for her as she had been missing.

She wondered how she had gotten here in the first place. But now that she was trapped here, she dispelled the thoughts and focused on going out of the forest.

An hour later, Emily was panting heavily as she looked at her front. In front of her was an endless desert with a big red sun hanging low.

Emily had a feeling she would be able to grab the sun with her hands with how it was hanging.

Right now Emily's mind was in turmoil.

"What in hell happened? I've walked out of a forest just to come to face a desert?" Emily mumbled.

"What kind of cursed place is this?" She cursed again under her breath before proceeding further.

After coming out of the forest her lost energy seemed to have come back and she was now rejuvenated with strength. Even her sweats had dried up mysteriously.

"It's time to take your leave." The voice suddenly boomed as Emily prepared to take another step.

At that instant, she felt a hand on her shoulders. Immediately she turned around only to find the place had changed and she was now back at the class.

She looked at the owner of the hand only to see it was Anne.

James and Natasha standing behind Anne looking at her with concerned faces.

"Emily, aren't you feeling well? You look tired," James frowned coming closer to Emily using his hands to feel her forehead.

"Ouch!!"

James yelled as he quickly removed his hands from Emily's forehead.

"Your body's too hot," James frowned looking at Emily with a face full of worry.

Immediately, Emily's heart skipped a beat and she quickly touched her forehead but found it was not hot like James had said.

She began to wonder if he was trying to play a prank on her or if he was telling the truth but it was hard to know.

"Let's go to the clinic," Natasha suddenly said as she proceeded to drag Emily from her seat.

Just now when the bell had rung for the break, they discovered that Emily's head was on her table and it looked like she was sleeping.

Anne had touched her in a bid to wake her up but surprisingly Emily raised her head at the same time.

But then, she looked tired and James touched her forehead to see if she was okay only to say her body was hot.

The three of them were feeling anxious and looked at Emily as they tried to pull her to the clinic.

"No guys, I'm fine," Emily smiled as she stood up from her seat looking at the three.

"Are you sure?" Anne frowned.

"I'm perfectly okay," Emily smiled looking at the three feeling grateful for their concern, but she wasn't sick so there was no need for the trouble.

Anne, Natasha, and James looked at themselves worriedly but didn't say anything and could only sigh.

"Let's head to the cafeteria since there's nothing else," Emily stood from her seat breaking the silence.

"Are you still going to continue with the bet?" James suddenly faced Natasha as he grinned widely.

"What bet?" Emily frowned looking at James and Natasha who had wide grins on their faces feeling something was off.

"It's nothing much, Natasha said I couldn't finish five extra large burgers, so to settle our dispute we made a bet..."

"I'll give her five hundred bucks if I won't be able to finish it and she'll give me five hundred bucks if I finish it," James grinned widely.

"I hope you've kept the five hundred bucks for me," Natasha rolled her eyes at James as she was rather sure he wouldn't be able to finish the five extra large burgers.

Anne on the other hand had long burst into laughter as she found it ridiculous. Nevertheless one could see in her eyes that she was anticipating the bet.

Emily shook her head wondering how the two could think of such a dumb bet.

Suddenly a sly smile appeared at the corner of her as she.

Seeing Emily's smile James shuddered and gulped in a large amount of saliva.

He knew Emily always had that kind of smile anytime she thought of something sinister so he hoped she wasn't going to say anything.

"Forget it, let's go," Emily sighed as she turned to leave the class.

"Excuse me please, could we tag along with you to the cafeteria," An ethereal voice sounded behind them making the four stop in their tracks.

James on the other hand was quavering slightly as he turned to look at the voice alongside the three girls.

The four froze in shock when their eyes met with the owner of the voice.

It turned out that it was one of their new classmates. Truth to be said, she was very breathtaking.

James felt his scalp going numb because of her beauty, while the three girls checked out the girl.

Emily on the other hand suddenly felt the feeling of familiarity grow stronger as she stared at the girl.

Though this time the feeling disappeared quickly she still felt something was off but didn't say anything.

Rachel on the other hand was looking at the group calmly. She was a little dumbfounded by the way they were looking at her.

Even though she didn't say anything she still felt a little uncomfortable with their gaze.

A girl with long black jet hair gave off a feeling she couldn't say amongst the four.

Even though she was sure that she was a human, she didn't know why she felt a sense of foreboding when she tried to take a peek into her mind.

It was as if she came in contact with a metal wall. It didn't surprise her much as she thought it was a normal thing as she might have something that was restricting her.

But what troubled Rachel the most was her intuition that kept telling her to talk to the four.

She had tried to ignore it but it kept coming back like a plague and wouldn't go away.

Jason and Damien behind Rachel were looking at the three girls with interest.

Even at that, they dared not to allow Rachel to notice as it would be a disaster if she caught them.

But it wasn't their fault anyway the three girls were just too breathtaking and each was beautiful in their own right.

"And you are?" A voice brought the three out of their respective thoughts.

"I'm Rachel," Rachel smiled as she introduced herself after coming back to her senses.

Emily and the girls nodded while they turned back their attention to James who was still staring at Rachel.

"Let's head to the cafeteria," Emily smiled at Rachel before turning to James and grabbing his ears.

"Ouch!"

A yell of pain soon resounded in the class as Emily dragged James to the cafeteria with his ears while he was pleading.

Anne and Natasha didn't even glance at James who was asking them to help plead with Emily.

Soon they got to the cafeteria. Sitting down at a table After buying what they wanted to eat.

James was still rubbing his ears as they hurt badly. Emily had pulled his ears a lot for it to hurt that much.

Emily studied the three who were sitting by their sides. Even though she couldn't tell who they were she could still tell that they had no hostility but rather they gave off a mysterious feeling.

Even though she was somehow unwilling, it wouldn't hurt to show them around and make friends with them.
