Killings

(A MONTH LATER)

It had been a month since Rachel and the two boys entered Emily's school and became friends with Emily and her friends.

Even though Rachel didn't stop her search for the hell wolf, she was unable to find the destined person.

All she knew was she was near the hell wolf, but she knew not who the host was and why the person was able to hide so perfectly.

Also during a month, they had gotten close significantly Emily and her friends would hang out sometimes together.

The Harbingers whom the Demon Wolf had sent to the human realm were also unable to find the hell wolf.

They had tried all sorts of methods but they weren't able to get the host to leave them in despair.

They couldn't disappoint their lord as the time limit was getting closer and closer.

A strong wind blew in the woods swaying all the trees. The night was silent and there was no moon in the sky.

Even the stars hid behind the clouds as if something would happen if they stayed any longer.

The night was chilly and the air was cold.

Three figures walked at an unhurried pace out of the woods and glanced at the pile of dead bodies on the floor.

The bodies on the floor didn't look mained, rather they felt cold upon coming in contact with them.

The bodies looked skinny and one could see that they were devoid of blood as something had forcefully sucked the blood away from their bodies.

One of the figures looking at the bodies sighed as he shook his head.

"We are late again," a female voice sighed amongst the three figures feeling helpless.

From the voice, one would realize that it was Rachel who was speaking.

"Those damned bastards," Damien gritted his teeth as he said angrily.

"There's no use getting angry," Rachel sighed.

"We can't beat them anyway." She continued as she turned her head away looking at the sky.

The killings had been going in for about a week now and the three knew who was responsible for the killings.

It was just that they couldn't stop them as they would arrive at the scene too late.

Even if they didn't arrive at the scene late they still couldn't beat the preparators head-on.

The siren coming from the distance woke the three from their thoughts as they hurriedly left the place.

They couldn't allow the police to meet them at the place or else they wouldn't know what to say.

Not long after the three left the scene some cars and an ambulance arrived at the scene to take away the bodies.

Emily sat on the sofa fiddling with her phone while Harry sat beside her trying to take a peek into Emily's phone but ended up receiving a knock on the head.

He had no choice but to focus on the large-screen television in his front.

At the moment he was feeling mischievous and decided to annoy Emily, but who knew he was going to receive a knock?

This left him with no choice but to focus back on the television.

"Breaking news!"

The scene on the television suddenly changed and was replaced by the news.

"Another set of dead bodies had been found along Green Wood Street..."

"The situation of the victims was said to be the same as that of the previous ones, sucked dry......"

The newscaster read the news which caught Emily's attention.

After a while, the newscaster finished reading the piece of news and soon the scene was changed.

At this point, Emily was left in distress as she heard the news. This particular incident had been happening for more than a week and yet the government was unable to catch the culprit.

Yet the cases of death each time were dying due to blood being drained out of the victim's body.

Yet there was no wound or injuries on the victim's body each time it occurred.

Emily couldn't help but shudder as she thought about the strange incident.

She couldn't help but think it was the work of a supernatural being like vampires as they were the ones who sucked humans dry.

Even though she knew that it was just a superstition, Emily couldn't help but anticipate it to be a supernatural cause.

"I'm off to bed," Emily glanced at Harry who was focused on the TV before standing.

She couldn't help but shake her head when she saw the way he concentrated on the TV.

Harry was a supernatural fanatic and would always believe that supernatural beings exist, thus any time the news of the strange killings was read he would make sure to watch the channel without omitting a single thing hoping to find a clue that would lead him to a supernatural as he firmly believed the killings were done by a vampire.

He had instilled the idea so much in Emily that she couldn't help but believe him as he said it made sense and she didn't know how to refute him.

Emily shook her head and pushed all her thoughts to the back of her mind while going back to her room.

Soon she was lying on the bed and was off to wonderland in a matter of minutes.

She couldn't resist the allure of sleep and was sent away right to wonderland immediately she lay on the bed.

"Sis, wake up, it's the end of the world, Aliens are destroying everywhere!!"

A voice yelled into Emily's ear jolting her from her sleep. At that moment she sprung up from the bed looking around. Her breathing was irregular and she looked scared.

The next moment, a peal of laughter burst out beside Emily. The laughter continued for about a minute and the person laughing almost choked on the laughter.

At that moment Emily came back to her senses as she looked by her side only to see Harry almost choking on his laughter.

He had scared her just now as he had woken her with force, she was having a bad dream to begin with, and here he came to fuel the fire.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Emily yelled immediately after she got hold of herself.

"I came to wake you up of course," Harry said with a matter of fact, his face devoid of any emotions as if he wasn't the one who was laughing just now.

"Get the fuck out of my room?" Emily yelled her chest heaving showing how angry she was.

"Why?" Harry frowned looking at Emily with a frown on his face.

But Emily wasn't in the mood to go along with his mischief so she yelled while trying to suppress her anger, "get the fuck out of my room!"

"Fine," Harry scowled as he dragged his feet out of the room.

Emily sighed in relief immediately as Harry walked out of the room. He was just too annoying.

After some minutes, Emily was able to calm down as she went ahead to prepare for school.

Minutes later she was done with all preparation and headed to the sitting to have her breakfast.

Getting to the sitting room she met her mum serving breakfast while her father sat on the sofa watching the news.

"Good morning mum..."

"Good morning dad," Emily mumbled a greeting to her parents as she sat at the dining table while glaring at Harry who was eating his food innocently.

"Honey, you should eat more, you're becoming skinny," Mrs. Clark Emily's mother smiled at Emily while putting more helpings into Emily's plate.

"Also don't mind Harry as he's always being naughty." She smiled as she ruffled Emily's hair affectionately.

Emily smiled and didn't talk, she was finally feeling at peace as she was sure her mother had scolded Harry for his mischief.

"The city Mayor has declared a curfew on the city from...."

The newscaster's voice caught the family's attention and they all turned to face the television while listening to what the newscaster had to say.

After many minutes Harry and Emily were done with their breakfast as they stood in the dining room.

"Make sure you head back home immediately after school," Mr. Clark said to the two in a deep voice as they were heading out.

Emily and Harry nodded before going out of the sitting room.

"Do you think they'll find out," Mrs. Clark sighed as she watched the two go out?

"I don't think so, they are here already, also it's a matter of time before Emily finds out..."

"Also I think there's something she's not telling us," Mr. Clark sighed as he tends to be lost in his thoughts.

"I just hope they'll be safe," Mrs. Clark sighed, sitting down beside her husband while placing her head on his shoulder as they watched the television together.

*****

"What do you think about the happenings recently?" James looked at Emily and the others.

It was already break time so Emily and her friends were at the cafeteria at the same time discussing the recent happening.

"My brother believes it to be a supernatural cause, he believes it's vampires who can suck the blood out of the body without opening any wounds on the body," Emily replied as she looked at her friends.

Rachel, James, and Damien felt their heart miss a beat when they heard Emily's words, even though they knew it was just a speculation of Emily's brother.

They hoped he was not going to try something foolish as he wouldn't be able to survive it no matter what.

"I've never believed in supernatural beings, I believe it's some kind of evil organization drawing their blood for some kind of experiment," Anne replied as she looked at the others.

"But nobody truly knows the cause as even the government is helpless against it," Natasha sighed.

"Guys, I've got a crazy idea," James grinned looking at the group.

"What idea," the four girls and two boys' interests were instantly equipped.

"How about we visit the location of the incident to find the cause ourselves," James grinned.

Emily, Anne, and Natasha's eyes widened when they heard James' words and they nodded subconsciously agreeing with what he said.

At that moment Rachel, Jason, and Damien felt a sense of foreboding when they heard James' words.

What the hell were these people thinking? They wouldn't be able to see the sunlight of the next day should they encounter the harbingers.

They could only rack their brains to think of something to say to convince the four.

James grinned widely seeing that the three nodded. He had been thinking about it for some time and had just decided to tell his friends.

He was someone who loved adventures and so the three girls or else he wouldn't have thought of it talk more or less brought it up.

Another reason he was willing to go was that he had a feeling that the matter was not as simple as it seemed.

"So are you guys willing to go?" James smiled looking at Rachel and the two boys who had a frown on their faces.

At that point, the three were brought out of their thoughts as they tried to think of something to say to convince the three.
