The Encounter

The police van pulled up on the left side of the not too busy street. Sniff pulled out of the vehicle and headed towards the entrance of a house which stood alone a few distance away, just before the downhills which spread downwards into the green forests.

When it remained a few steps that would take him to the doorway, he let out a long sigh and turned around.

"Won't you all come out? It is my home, and I say you are welcome."

His voice ranged past the cold windy air to meet the ears of the other passengers of the car who, before he said anything, did really keep a close keent tab on his moves right from the moment he took his first step out of that car.

The second front door opened and his assistant, Mark was soon out as well. He proceeded towards Sniff who was now at the doorway but soon has to turn around as well when he noticed that there was no footsteps behind him.

"I think they are scared?" Mark told Sniff, who sniffed the air in anger.
