Chapter 03 - The Secret Marriage

I watched Perplexed.

Our lives were now in grave danger.

"This agreement In this document was signed years ago by late Mister Harrison himself with the bloodline of this young man Nolan." He said.

"This young man here is your son-in-law and the husband to Elina Harrison by law, by agreement and by Blood." The old man commands.

"What! That is impossible!" Madam Harrison says as she walks towards Mr. Paul and grabs the document.

"How authentic is this?" She gave the document to the old family lawyer who broke down emotionally in return.

"This agreement was signed in blood, it is authentic, great grandpa willed Elina to Nolan." He said and a bright beautiful lady stormed closer in rage.

"No! I can't marry this loser!"

"I am not just some tool, you can marry off, mother, I deserve better, tell granny, father, this can't happen!" She threw a tantrum through the parlour.

"This filt! It's an insult!" She glared.

"I am this families Heiress!" She screamed.

"It is your fate." Another beautiful young lady, she was flawless, she looked like a Goddess said by the side.

"Cousin! Shut up! You are no one to make a statement in this meeting Sora!" Elina growled at the Queen.

"Okay." She replied holding so much anger.

"Name your price young man, I will give you million dollars to leave!" Elina said, I looked at her, she was not even near the beauty of her cousin Sora, but I couldn't forget I had to live with her to fulfill my father's wish to stay in the city.

"Double that amount!" Her mother added.

"No, I want my wife, and that's period!” I stated.

“You will welcome me as your son inlaw" I said ruthlessly with a bow, staying here was worth more than millions of dollars, it could save my family from poverty and forever.

"Fine, since it is the will of Great Grandpa Harrison, you are welcome." Miss Harrison says before she gets up to leave but Elina's mum rushes to her.

"Please, you cannot do this to my daughter, grandpa is dead, his words don't matter anymore, right?" She asked only to be sent straight to the ground by Madam Harrison.

"Pow!" She receives an additional slap.

"So you want me to disobey the order of my late husband because he is dead?" She asked as she used her walking stick to hit the legs of Elina's Mum.

"Granny!" Elina rushes to protect her mother from getting beaten more.

"Don't you granny me! Disobeying great grandpa is a sin over his death and I cannot interfere with the promises and blood oaths he made, he took those decisions for a reason!" She fired.

"The document is authentic and you are sadly his wife, the agreement is completed, even as much as I would want better for you, you are still his wife, it's better you start getting used to marrying a loser, just like your father did with this witch called your mother!" Granny said flying another of her old stick at Elina's mother.

"You are all dismissed!" She said before her guards escorted her out of the premises, then the cute princess turned to look at me with tears in her eyes.

Oh damn... It was my turn to get lashes, can't we just respect elders nowadays and just do as they say? lol.

"Since you want me that bad, evil gold digger, prepare to suffer!" Elina said to me before she spits over my face.

But I held her back to me.

It isn't fair, she's been the main leading character in this scene, if she's going to be my wife, she needs to know I do the lubrication and she does the bending, not the other way around and not on my face to start with… On my long huge anthena.

"The audacity!" She screams as I faintly hold onto her right arm.

"Since you like spitting Petty, I will give it to you with wet kisses my wife." I said romantically and she growled.

"What did you just do?" Augustus fired.

Mr. Paul came in between.

"You should be careful Augustus, This is Nolan, Do not trespass... it's his wife anyways, now Nolan, a minute." He said as Elina… Enraged with Augustus' face carrying the disgusted look over it, stormed off in anger.

Well, while I thought that was all that was going to happen, the next thing is, Elder Paul turns around and he looks at me.

He gives me the documents that entail that I am the husband, the rightful husband to Elina Harrison and afterwards, he tells me goodbye before leaving the premises.

"Keep this ring, it belongs to your father." He said giving me the priestly ring before he leaves with the family old lawyer taking me to my room, in a distant lone chamber of the mansion.

I relaxed in my room, admiring the beautiful scenery after refreshing myself. The place seemed cold and abandoned too but I could tell someone stayed in this part of the mansion. Based on the fresh air.

Then, I decided to take a walk, heading through the corridor grounds to explore different areas of the mansion.

The scenery was stunning, showcasing the luxury and beauty of their rich lifestyle. However, my stroll was interrupted when I stumbled upon a secret meeting.

My mother-in-law, father-in-law, betrothed wife Elina Harrison, and Augustus Brian were all present. They spoke quietly, trying to avoid suspicion.

My mother-in-law led the conversation.

"I don't believe my daughter would be betrothed to such a man – a loser, a nobody from nowhere." She spat.

"Let's not take the signed agreement between Grandpa Harrison and the young man seriously, the contract agreement between our companies is important." she continued.

"Instead, let's push forward with the wedding between Elina and Augustus." my father in-law said.

"I don't like what I saw or experienced today, but I was really disappointed. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure we get wedded by the best priest in town tomorrow, and no we would spoil our wedding arrangement, I promise." He swore as he stood up.

Woah! It occured to me that I showed up at the right time, so this ugly bald man wanted to steal my cute wife?

I must be a serious inconvenience.

"We'll find the best priest, even if it's a defrocked one," Augustus said.

"We'll get married tomorrow, and we'll make sure the idiot who thinks he's the husband stays locked indoors."

"No one should tell him." My father in-law said in evil.

"Drug his food, so he sleeps forever, if we must!" My mother in-law adds.

"And kill him, if we must!" Augustus said in the most brutal way possible.

"Nothing must stop our Plans!" Elina concludes.
