Chapter 5 - Subduing the terrorists

"Lucia, do you still remember where you kept the Scepter of Zorris that you created?" Hunter suddenly asked, after he instinctually perceived that enemies of greater strength and power were slowly advancing towards their location.

"I dropped it in the hall out of fear, when most of the hall blew apart due to the terrifying energy blast that was unleashed at it." Lucianna said after recalling how the scepter fell from her hand to the ground because of the sudden destructive blast of energy that collapsed the hall, which then induced a petrifying shock that overwhelmed her heart and whole being.

"Hmm. Alright. I will need it." Hunter said and directly went to carry a large engineering toolbox, and also a few important machinery parts.

"C-Can we actually walk around out with all these that's going on? Why don't we stay hidden here till reinforcements of instructors will arrive?" Lucianna asked with absolute fear in her tone.

"Hmm. If we do that, then it's only a matter of time before the cold hands of death appear before us to malevolently pluck out our precious dazzling lives from our bodies." Hunter said figuratively while Lucianna agreed.

"Let's head there together, I can't leave you behind in this place." Hunter said while Lucianna quickly nodded her head in agreement. Of course, she wouldn't dare to remain all by herself in the storeroom. 

Then she began to walk behind Hunter who aimed his rifle in every direction, just at the perception of the slightest sounds.

After alertly walking for more than 20 minutes, at slow paces and in quiet manners, they finally arrived at the hall that had reduced to nothing but ruins.

When they went in, it was the sight of the Scepter of Zorris that firstly greeted them.

"I am glad it wasn't buried under heaps of rubbles." Hunter said while Lucianna nodded her head happily, since she already had an inkling of what Hunter wanted to do with the constituent components of the scepter.

Then Hunter quickly got to work.

Two minutes later, he had finished dismantling the Scepter of Zorris that took Lucianna more than thirty minutes to couple into a whole technological artifact, causing her to stare at him with a greatly bewildered expression in her face. 

With the constituent parts of the scepter scattered on the ground around him, Hunter's superiorly remarkable, innate assembling skills and massively high, invention-based creative intelligence, kicked in and began to fire at maximum power.

And with a plan in mind to enhance the rifle further by giving it a fireball-throwing ability, he began to attach the components of the scepter to the rifle, which he welded to the rifle using a powerful, portable welding torch that he put in the toolbox that he carried along with him. 

Coupling numerous other machinery parts that he carried with him from the storeroom to the rifle, he finally created a multi-engine powered, monstrous-looking rifle that possessed a tremendously high destructive firepower, and could shoot dense fireballs, as well as release raging streams of flame across a distance of 20 meters for 10 minutes, since there was the limitation of fuel that he couldn't do anything about.

Immediately he was done, he said to Lucianna, "Lucia, follow behind me. Let's fight our way through to where we would feel safe. Every second in this building screams fatal danger to me."

"Okay." Lucianna immediately agreed. 

She was ready to do anything that Hunter said, so as not to become even the slightest liability to him. Also, she wished she could fight and shoot guns like Hunter did, just so that she could assist him and impress him in the process. 

But, there was nothing that she could do at the moment than obey his instructions and follow silently behind him. However, a new plan took form in her mind, which was other than becoming a Multiversal Mechanic Empress; that is, a Goddess of Infinite Cosmic Machines and Commander of Interstellar Mechanical Warriors, she will become a fearsome fighter and warrior. One that will dazzle and bamboozle god-like beings with only her extraordinary combat prowess. 

After walking for sometime, where they took numerous turns to avoid battles, they suddenly came across a duo who seemed extremely dangerous to both Hunter and Lucianna.

This duo, were Fireburst and Shadow Devourer that Star Glaive instructed to go into the institute and eliminate the person that had slayed more than twelve of their elite soldiers.

Fireburst who had dazzling, golden-yellow eyes that looked like small suns, and a brightly luminous, tremendously-hot golden-yellow flame that fully enwrapped his body and burned in a ferocious manner around it, said with a smile in his face when he gazed briefly at Lucianna who hid fearfully behind Hunter, "Kid, if you want to leave here alive, surrender that gorgeously beautiful luscious girl hiding behind you to us. Once we have sexually ravaged her world of sweetness, we will let you go with only an arm and a leg intact. What do you say about our amazing generous offer?" 

"Detestable lustful animals. You can go to hell!" Hunter said with anger, contempt and disgust in his tone before suddenly aiming his massively powerful rifle at Shadow Devourer's head.

Buzzzzttttt...!

BANG!!! 

Instantly, Shadow Devourer's head instantly burst into countless bloodied bits that scattered everywhere on the ground. But the force from the impact was so powerful that dozens of tiny bloody bits that erupted from his exploded head, traveled as far as fifteen meters into the distance where they attached themselves to the surrounding walls. 

It was simply like when a giant used a gigantic steel hammer to smash a tomato to paste with a particularly great amount of force that will reduce large rocks to uncountable minute grains. It was an horrifying sight to look at. 

"How dare you?!!" An exceedingly shocked and greatly enraged Fireburst screamed out in great fury before immediately unleashing a wide stream of flame at Hunter, who immediately activated the flame-projecting ability of his heavily-modified rifle and quickly directed a concentrated stream of searing scarlet flame at the incoming golden-yellow flame. 

So, the battle between them became one of fire, where fire was heavily fought with fire!

However, only the one with more fuel could come out on top, which was of course Fireburst that could possibly unleash vast streams of extreme high-temperature, lake-vaporizing flames for many hours before fatiguing. 

Thoroughly understanding this, Hunter immediately switched to another offensive, since there was practically no way that he could beat Fireburst who hadn't gone all out and was only indignant at the unexpected instant death of his friend and colleague in malevolence, sexual profanities and evilness.

Whirrrrr!! 

Buzzzzttttt....!!

BANG!! BANG!! BANG!! 

Suddenly, three deafening shots were fired in millisecond-succession which immediately tore Fireburst to pieces. 

But a single shot was actually enough, since it was equally capable of turning Fireburst to numerous bloody splinters. 

Actually, the electromagnetically amplified firing mechanism, which was further massively enhanced by certain, electricity-based projective components in the rifle, such as the quadruple lightning-bolt projector mechanism amongst others, will continuously imbue the rifle with a level of destructiveness that was fully equivalent to the combined firepowers of numerous, heavy-firing ballistic power cannons. 

Therefore, only one shot was totally sufficient, making the three shots that he fired an absolute overkill.

Hunter had first gone for the head of Shadow Devourer, since he identified him to be a dreadful Soul Controller, which made him a dangerous bi-racial being that was partly from a certain alien race that had the ability to control and manipulate souls, up to the point of becoming necromancers that could recall souls to a dead body and infinitely resurrect them, that is without using myriad soul-based magics but only their powers of Soul Manipulation at the god master-level. 

When Shadow Devourer appeared before him, with Shadow Devourer doing nothing and only looking at him, Hunter could suddenly feel a savagely invasive, purely antagonistic feeling of thought-freezing coldness surface deep within him, like deep within the recess of his soul. And that was Shadow Devourer just standing there and doing nothing. Which meant that once he took action, that will be the absolute end of him. 

So, to end the battle quickly, he had to slay the stronger one first, before going for the weaker one which would allow him to emerge triumphantly from their face-off. 

Although Fireburst was equally dangerous, but he lost the moment he became enraged and lost all his cool in his battle against a calm-minded, scheming and vastly calculative Hunter. 

Lucianna who witnessed as Hunter wickedly exterminated the duo because of their unrestrained feelings of lust and possible visualizations of unspeakable profanity towards her, made her feel happy and delighted. Also, she had began to embrace the wondrous calming feeling of being protected by Hunter, with the whole experience becoming a sweet memory that she won't ever forget and will forever cherish.

'My handsome knight that is adorned in shiny magnetic armor and wields a smoking, cannon-like gun.' Lucianna muttered within herself and giggled, or she might distract Hunter and open windows for sudden enemy fire.

"S-Sir Phantom Smasher, I don't understand what's really going on in there. B-Both Fireburst and Shadow Devourer have been killed. I-I arrived at this conclusion since I could no longer communicate with them. Besides, their brain-implanted subdermal position tracers show offline on the computer, which can only mean that they have been annihilated." Star Glaive fearfully said, as he couldn't really tell how his 300-year old Commander, Phantom Smasher will react to what he mentioned, since Fireburst and Shadow Devourer were his legacy inheritors. 

They were fully trusted, mixed-race super-powered beings that could take over his large clandestine organization after he retires. 

"So, the bastards failed too?" Phantom Smasher angrily asked. 

He then said further, "Time to go in there myself and settle things once and for all!" 

"Really? Are you sure you are truly capable of doing that?" A taunting female voice suddenly rang out from a distance. 

"Huh?" Phantom Smasher exclaimed in shock and began to look around him and far in the distance. 

"Blind monkey, you don't need to look around too much, I am right in front of you." The voice contemptuously derided, while Phantom Smasher became extremely alert. 

Whoosh! 

A tall, black-suited young woman that looked twenty-five, had long blue hair, was grandly beautiful that she could be seen as a flawless divine goddess, possessed a fiery-hot sensuous aura and a superlative seductive figure that will cause bodies of men and male deities to hormonally heat up, possessed attractively alluring eyes, and spoke with a strongly mesmerizing voice that made her seem like a celestially sonorous saintess from another dimension, suddenly appeared a few feet away from Phantom Smasher and Star Glaive before beginning to walk towards them with an uncordial gaze in her face, which was in sharp contrast to the bright beautiful smile hung on her really attractive, succulent pink lips that would fill one with the irresistible urge and inextinguishable desire to kiss it and be lip-locked with it till their lifespans came to a total end. 

"Who are you?" Phantom Smasher who couldn't resist himself from seriously checking her out, asked with great alarm in his tone. Besides, due to his instinct, he felt that the person he was currently questioning, was someone that will kill him with a single effortless blow. Therefore, upon thinking that, waves of great terror began to rock the entire depth of his heart. 

"I am a nobody. Was only passing by, actually." The black-suited woman said and showed her perfect, pearly white dentitions in a smile that caused both Phantom Smasher and Star Glaive to become charmingly entranced. 

"Then please leave if you have no business here." Phantom Smasher conjured up great courage from the far depth of his being and mentioned with an imploring tone in his deep masculine voice. 

He just couldn't stand her eye-attracting beauty, extreme seductiveness, and the immensely overwhelming feeling of annihilative lethality that radiated from her in all directions.

"Hmm. Alright." The black-suited woman who was without surprise, Lumeria, responded with a change in her tone which caused Phantom Smasher to have the terror in his heart instantly burst out of him and shoot to the sky. 

Slash! 

Suddenly, a large broadsword that glowed in blinding green light, immediately appeared in Lumeria's hand which she used to cut Phantom Smasher, Star Glaive, numerous armored men that were equipping themselves with weapons, the large blast-resistant bus they were in, and many other surrounding buses into numerous halves that fell apart like thinly sliced pieces of bread to the ground.

Only a single vertical slash of her five-feet long broadsword, had cleanly cut Phantom Smasher, Star Glaive, multiple heavily-armored soldiers, and their many large, armor plate-covered assault operation and reconnaissance buses into halves, and that is without moving an inch forward from the spot that she stood. 

Immediately she took care of the boss and their high-tech assault-operation buses, a least-quality, tractor-sized futuristic drone that hovered above the ground using dozens of rocket propellers and was armed with hundreds of enormously powerful, engine-core powered ultra-machine guns that could wipe off a small city with the countless velgassium-core, rhallium-vhodium alloy bullets that it possessed, suddenly appeared directly behind her and began to shoot blazing, mountain-piercing bullets that traveled at a super-high velocity of Mach 200 at the numerous adversaries that it automatically targeted using its multiple hundred intelligent sensors. 

After clearing off the remaining adversarial targets below who schemed against the institute for a certain item, she vanished like she was never there in the first place. 

But before she did so, she looked at Hunter once again and produced a proud radiant smile in her face before delightedly saying, "Truly my master's descendant. And yea, Alexander Stone did a really good job in training you against brutal chaotic situations like this. I am thankful to him for that. Just keep growing, young master. When it's time, we shall see!" 

Actually, why she took this long to appear and interfere, was essentially because she wanted to see what Geltorak (Hunter Stone) would do in the face of such a disastrous situation. But he had seriously impressed her by remaining calm, calculative and taking his own fate into his own hands, since he didn't rely on anyone for protection, but upon himself for his own protection and safety.

Since the boss and his numerous men below had been eliminated, it became easy to round up the ones located at different floors of the institute building, as they had become like vipers without fangs. And what were vipers without their fangs? Or better still, as roaches without heads. 

Several minutes later, calmness returned to the building with the low-level instructors and high-level ones running about to medically tend to the ones that were heavily injured in the crossfires and devastating melee battles between them and the terrorists. 

"Is it over?" Lucianna asked with great uncertainty in her tone. 

While Hunter who had eliminated more than twenty enemy soldiers with his powerful weapon, replied with a serious expression in his face, "Probably, I can hear our instructors calling out to everyone of us to come out from our hiding places and help the wounded."

"I can hear the same too. But we still have to be careful." Lucianna said while Hunter nodded his head in agreement.

Lucianna who continuously looked at Hunter with a hugely admirable expression in her face, asked with a curious tone in her voice when she suddenly thought of something, "Hunter, who trained you to kill people like that? You didn't even conscientiously blink your eyes or have your skin crawl at the enemies you deliberately opened fire at? You just sprayed and sprayed and left lots of physically devastated bodies in your wake. The you that is armed with a dangerous weapon and leaves corpses in his path, is vastly different from the troublesome you that likes to prove that he is creatively ahead of others in classes and group projects."

Hunter heard that and only giggled.

He then responded by saying with a smile in his face, "It's simple, Lucia. Eliminate, or be eliminated."

"Hmm. That's right." Lucianna agreeably said. 

"I will surely keep those shining golden words of honor in the treasure chest of my heart." Lucianna said further and suddenly walked forward to embrace Hunter who was caught unaware and didn't know how to respond to the abrupt warm embrace that he found himself in. 

"Thank you!" Lucianna whispered into his ears a moment later, before detaching herself from the embrace a few minutes after.

She then said to a heavily flustered Hunter, "What do we do now?"

"Since I can hear many voices of our instructors call out to all of us to leave our hiding places to help the heavily injured and assist them in putting things in order, we can return to them to partake in every of these activities." Hunter whose heartbeat had shot up to a great degree because of the sudden embrace that increased his body's warmth, bombarded his nostrils with sweet fragrances, and left a lasting inexplicable sensation in the area of his chest that was tightly pressed against Lucianna's twin peaks, tried to reply without stuttering.

"Okay." Lucianna said with the nod of her head.

But because she could notice the difficulty in Hunter's 'smooth' reply, which he tried very hard to conceal, she couldn't help but giggle within herself so that she won't embarrass Hunter who still hadn't recovered from the effects of the hormone-heating embrace, where he even occasionally, involuntarily replayed the scene in his head and didn't know what to feel.
