I Am The Richest Man Alive

"How long will it take him to serve the damn food?" Diana snarled through gritted teeth. She hit her hand over the table, turning her head to the entrance of the kitchen. 

"I think you should give him a moment," Lilly broke in with a distasteful stare lurking in her demeanor. 

Diana rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. She stared at her mum and dad who sat at the other edge of the table. Their neutral attitude towards the whole situation sent spurts of disappointment down her spine. 

Moments later, Justin scampered out of the kitchen, holding a tray, with an apron tied around his neck. "I'm sorry," he muttered as he served the food to everyone seated. 

"Ugh. Finally. I'm starving," Diana dragged the bowl of pasta closer to herself. “You want me to choke while eating this?" Diana shot. 

Justin stood still, unable to figure out what the spoilt brat was saying. "Get me water, Silly!" She shouted. 

Justin startled at how strident her voice was, before racing to the kitchen like he'd been chased out of a temple by Christ himself for trading in the holy place. 

"He's so lazy and incompetent," Tucson said, putting away his phone. 

Mrs. Tucson affirmed his utterance with a nod. While Lilly crouched her head in disgust. She's disgusted at how everyone in her family disrespects and maltreats her husband. 

"I wonder how he managed to get a job and keep it," Tucson proceeded, scornfully leaning forward. "It makes no difference though, he's still poor and useless," he added. 

"Dad, stop!" Lilly exclaimed. She banged her hand on the table. "Everyone cannot be rich and wealthy like you." A frown clung to Lilly's face. She broke eye contact and glanced into space. 

Justin's footsteps broke the awkward silence. He strode in with a jug of water and placed it on the table. He took a step back and hemmed his hand behind his back, as a grin lingered on his lips. 

Tucson scoffed. He stared across the ritzy table and the sinister giggle on his face faded. 

A little bird whispered to Justin that the rich and arrogant business mogul had found another fault and was going to snap at him again. Justin narrowed his lips as if he were about to be gashed by a sword.

"Get me a bottle of wine! And you should know that we won't pour this water into our hands, huh?!" Tucson shouted.

Justin sped back to the kitchen for the umpteenth time. He scurried out with a bottle of wine and glasses. He tripped. One of the glasses fell off the tray and shattered into tiny pieces. The frightening sideswipe terrified everyone. 

Mrs. Tucson dilated her eyes in disgust. She stood from her seat and loomed towards Justin. She smashed her palm over his face. "You careless piece of shit," she rumbled. "Do you have a single idea how expensive that glass is? How would you know, when you can't afford one?" 

Dianna gibed with a sneering chuckle. 

Lily's heart seethed with rage. That wasn't the first time her mother would slap Justin right in front of her. But this attempt struck a painful string. 

"... I'm sorry, I will clean it up." Justin whimpered, he lowered the tray to the table and hurried back to the kitchen. 

"Silly," Mrs. Tucson walked back to her seat. 

Justin fluttered out of the kitchen with a broom. Everyone except Lilly had some sort of contemptuous look on their faces as they watched Justin clean up the broken glasses. He gathered the slivers and sauntered away. 

"Mum, that was not necessary," Lilly fumed. "You could have..." 

"Kissed him and thanked him for shattering my expensive glass?" Mrs. Tucson impeded Lilly. "I think it's time you leave that lowlife for good." 

Lilly squinted her eyes in disbelief. She was about to speak when her father's phone beeped. 

Tucson picked up the phone. A smile appeared on his lips as he stared at the phone's screen.

"Dad. Is everything okay?" Dianna asked. 

"Sure. I just got an invite to Nelson Drogonuv's Billionaire party. The ticket costs $25k." Tucson said. 

"Justin!"

Justin appeared at the table in a split second. 

"You will leave my daughter. You're a dent in my reputation and I don't want that anymore. I... " 

"Sir, I love Lilly so much. I can't leave her," Justin cut in. 

"Very well then," Tucson grinned. "The famous Nelson Drogonuv is having a billionaire party and you must buy every one of us a ticket. It costs $25k. If you can't, I'll send you out of this house and out of my daughter's life." Tucson said, firing a lethal glare at Justin.
