Cedric slowly started approaching the dim star curiously. As he drew closer, he realized the star wasn't naturally faint; there were actually three strange symbols wrapped around its surface, constantly devouring its light. The starlight that tried to shine was swallowed again and again by the symbols, leaving the star perpetually dim.

Cedric's brows knitted as he stared at the symbols. He could not understand these symbols, but they gave him the feeling of being both ominous and sacred. Most importantly, that mysterious attraction grew stronger the nearer he came to the dim star.

"What are these symbols?"

Although Cedric couldn't tell what these symbols represented, he was sure that the call was coming from these symbols, not the star itself.

He hesitated for a moment. But it didn't take long for him to make a decision. He let go of his hesitation, trusted his instinct, and reached out before touching the dim star.

The moment his hands touched the dim star, he felt as if the cosmic expanse shattered. The star collapsed into a concentrated torrent of light and power, surging directly into his chest.

Cedric's consciousness roared as that power exploded through his body. He felt as though countless invisible threads were stitching something new within his flesh. His bones vibrated, becoming denser and tougher; his muscles tightened with elastic strength, filled with a vitality that seemed endless. His blood turned scorching, flowing like molten metal through his veins.

At the same time, deep within his core, profound changes began to happen. The core containing the Cosmic Energy of a Nine Stars warrior trembled, fracturing along countless fine lines, then collapsing inward.

Bang!

For an instant, Cedric felt hollow inside. Then a new power erupted from the darkness of his shattered core. The fragments of his core began to draw together, condensing once more, until they reformed into a brighter, denser nucleus of energy. Rings of cosmic light spun around it, and the strange star-energy he had absorbed fused seamlessly into the new core.

A final surge swept through him like thunder. The burning pain faded, replaced by clarity. In that instant, Cedric could sense the flow of cosmic energy around him as if it were within arm's reach, responding to his will.

When Cedric opened his eyes again, a faint gleam flashed within them. His aura surged outward for a heartbeat before stabilizing. He exhaled, and the air trembled slightly in front of him. By now, his body had already transformed, and his core had evolved. At the same time, he had successfully broken through.

"Is this the Awakening Realm?"

Cedric stood up and observed his body. He can feel that his strength has increased by ten times at the very least. Most importantly, he now has a special ability.

Cedric frowned, for he didn't expect to awaken such a basic ability.

Energy Storage is an ability that can help Cedric store excess cosmic energy in his body like a battery. When needed, he can release this stored energy to recover in an instant. This was truly a very basic ability. There was nothing unique about this ability to brag.

For a moment, Cedric felt heartache. He even cursed silently.

"I shouldn't have responded to that call. Why the hell did I awaken such a weak ability?"

But there was nothing he could do. Now that this ability has been awakened, he could never change it.

"But these three symbols..."

Cedric focused his attention on his lower abdomen, where his core was located. If someone were to ask him what this core truly was, he would say it resembled the dantian he had read about in novels from his previous life.

Surprisingly, the three symbols that had once devoured the light of the ability star were now engraved upon the surface of his core. Fortunately, they did not seem to be draining any energy from it.

But still, their presence inside him troubled Cedric a little.

Since he couldn't do anything about it for the time being, Cedric chose not to think too much about it for the time being.

Other than the awakening of <Energy Storage>, the change that affected Cedric the most was his bloodline.

Originally, Cedric had the bloodline of a mythical beast. If he had managed to awaken it, his strength would have skyrocketed in an instant. But not only did he fail to awaken that bloodline after leaving the Secluded Zone, but the lineage of the Mythical Raion Beast had also actually begun to fade away.

What frustrated him most was that he had no means to halt the gradual disappearance of that precious bloodline.

Sighing in regret, Cedric shifted his attention.

"I should probably inform Old Blue that I've already advanced to the Awakening Realm. If he knows, I might be able to secure even more cultivation resources."

Having experienced firsthand the benefits that came with being one of Julian's personal guards, Cedric had no intention of missing any opportunity. He could already imagine how pleased Julian would be upon learning that he had ascended to the Awakening Realm.

After all, the gap between a Nine Stars warrior and an Awakening Realm warrior wasn't merely a change in title or the acquisition of a special ability; it was a transformation in fundamental power. A single Awakening Realm expert could slaughter dozens of Nine Stars warriors in a short time, leaving them with almost no chance to resist.

So, he immediately used his Universe Bracelet to contact Old Blue and informed him about his breakthrough.

Old Blue was surprised, not expecting Alex to only take a month before breaking through to an entirely new realm of cultivation. It has to be known that Alex had just changed his cultivation technique. Having abandoned the cultivation technique, he should have wasted a few months just to adjust to a new cultivation technique.

Surprisingly, Cedric not only adjusted to the new technique in such a short time, but he also used it to step directly into a higher realm of cultivation. It was a result that far exceeded Old Blue's expectations.

Without wasting another second, Cedric's body surged forward once more, transforming into a streak of light as he rushed toward the next section of ruins. At this moment, his mindset had completely shifted. If his earlier journey through the Ancient Ruin had felt like wandering through a barren wasteland, then this place was the exact opposite. It was a treasure field. It was a true land of opportunity. And for Cedric, it was even more than that.Unlike the others, who could only rely on what they directly obtained, he possessed something far more terrifying. He had the rebate System.Every single item he collected here, no matter how ordinary it might seem, had the potential to multiply in value by hundreds or even thousands of times once processed through his System. The implications were overwhelming.Even if he only gathered a few hundred Elite Core-ranked treasures, the returns alone would be enough to propel his wealth to an unimaginable level."I'm rich… I'm going to be rich…"

Among the three of them, the most noticeable was a lean man clad in black armor. His short hair and cold expression gave him a sharp, disciplined appearance, and the aura he emitted clearly placed him at the Third Stage of the Mortal Star Realm. On his chest, an identity badge gleamed faintly—marking him as a member of the Sea Dragon Pavilion. The other two, a man and a woman, both at the Second Stage, bore no visible insignia. Their cautious glances toward each other made it clear that they were not allies. They were simply opportunists who had arrived at the same place. After a brief silence, it was the black-armored man who spoke first."Choose an area and search there. Do not interfere with others, or you will be attacked by everyone."His words were simple, but the meaning behind them was clear. This was not cooperation; it was a temporary balance maintained by mutual caution.Without waiting for a response, he turned away and resumed his search, prying apart chunks of ruined str

Cedric extended his consciousness into the six-story building within the Star Ring. The structure stood imposingly at nearly eighty meters tall, with a broad base exceeding thirty meters in diameter. From the outside, it resembled a quiet repository of knowledge, but the moment his awareness entered, he could sense the sheer density of information contained within."All seven floors are filled with books about the Golden Thread Chapters," Cedric murmured thoughtfully, his gaze growing deeper as he observed the countless volumes arranged in orderly rows. "Then the Formation Master—no, Secret Pattern Master—Legacy I've obtained can truly be considered abundant."Each floor was packed from end to end, the shelves lined with thick tomes that radiated faint Source Law fluctuations. Every single book represented a piece of structured knowledge, a fragment of accumulated wisdom left behind by a powerful expert. When viewed as a whole, the scale of this inheritance was nothing short of astoni

After a moment of silent reflection, Cedric raised his hand and casually emptied the contents of the two spatial rings. One by one, the miscellaneous items—low-grade weapons, worn armor fragments, scattered energy crystals, and various trivial materials—were all transferred into the newly acquired Star Ring.Within that vast inner world of the Star Ring, the items fell like insignificant debris, barely occupying even the smallest fraction of space. Compared to the immense scale of the Star Ring, these spoils of battle were no more than dust.Cedric did not spare them another glance.Instead, his focus shifted entirely to the true treasure he had obtained. With a subtle movement of his consciousness, he connected to the Star Ring and mobilized a trace of its internal world power. The sensation was peculiar yet natural, as if he were reaching into a pocket dimension that responded directly to his will.Guided by that power, his awareness quickly locked onto the six-story building standi

"One at the Mortal Star Realm, one at the advanced stage of the Transcendent Soul Realm!"Cedric sensed the strength of the two people and muttered. The fluctuations in their auras were clear and undisguised. One was at the Ninth Stage of the Mortal Star Realm, while the other was at the Advanced Stage of the Transcendent Soul Realm. Neither of them had stepped into any profound threshold that would cause a qualitative change. Moreover, there was no trace of Source Law comprehension on the body of the Mortal Star Realm warrior that could suppress an opponent outright. To an ordinary Mortal Star Realm warrior, such opponents would be terrifying existences. But to Cedric, they were far from insurmountable. After his breakthrough to the Star King Realm, Cedric had not been idle. He had spent a considerable amount of time within the Mirror Battlefield, engaging in countless simulated battles against a wide variety of opponents. Those simulations were not mere sparring matches; they were b
