Chapter 10 - Attack!

"Captain? what's up why the sudden call?" 

"There are new orders from the boss, It was instructed especially for us since this is a job only the 6th division can do, I want you to be in the Mishiki Headquarters right now.

"Yes, I understand I'll be there right away."

"We'll be expecting you Matsuoka-Kun, I'll tell you the full details later."

[CALL ENDED]

"Matsuoka-Kun, You're here."

"Yes, Sorry to keep you waiting captain, What's the job?

"We'll explain it to you in the meeting room since it's going to take a while, For us, it's just going to be nothing out of the ordinary but since you're new we'll have to explain it to the others as well just to clarify in case no one was listening."

"Yes, Captain."

As we were walking down to the meeting room We bumped into Hotaru-San who was coming back late.

"Oh, Great timing! We're about to start our meeting."

"B-but captainnn, I Don't wanna goooo! I don't like meetings!"

"No buts Besides You didn't even listen to my explanation earlier on the phone call and You're late."

"hmph." She pouted.

"You're still going to the meeting whether you like it or not."

She wailed while the captain forcibly dragged her to the meeting room.

As We entered the room everyone in the 6th division was already waiting for us.

"Well, Sighing Heavily Now that we're all here, I'll just go over this briefly and quickly. The boss assigned us a job, A Commissioned job type A."

A commissioned job Type A huh... Commissioned jobs, To put it simply a client gave an offer to the boss to hire her men for a job and there are two jobs that can be categorized. Type A: Killing specified targets or Destroying a Specified Location or Building. And Type B: Escorting an object or a Target Whether that would be cargo or doing bodyguard work. Of course, Commissions aren't cheap to come by especially with the Mishiki Clan having Competent and irreplaceable members, and if something bad would happen to them.

"Before a commission is accepted by the Mishiki clan, The client's Commission should be within the organization's policy which involves not harming any uninvolved, Neutral, or friendly parties. The client may pick a specified division whether they see fit for the Commission if not then The boss will pick a division for it herself instead. Did you get all of that Matsuoka?"

"Yes, Captain! Loud and clear."

"Good, Now our Job is to Eliminate a High-Value target. A ring leader who runs a small yet high-quality drug cartel Masuda Shichiro sells high-quality drugs from overseas and based on the client's intel they gave us he has a lot of connections to powerful people from other countries and acts as some sort of promoter for them to expand their company and influence. And as you can imagine a person like that-"

"Would have a strong surveillance."

"Correct Ryota."

"And who is this client?" Yuichi asked.

"It's The Hachibana clan."

"Trying to eliminate other competitors huh."

"You might have a point Eiko but even if they want to eliminate other competitors this man's connections are nothing to be looked down upon so it benefits us as well in case other organizations from different countries are planning on attacking us as well That's why we should give them a little warning, Besides The Hachibana clan said that if we found anything valuable we can take it as ours as a tip They said so it's Three birds in one stone That's the sole reason why the boss assigned us this job."

"For real?!" Ryota yelled with delight

"So are we going to fight strong enemies?"

"Yeah, Maybe Don't let your guard down Hotaru, We don't know how strong they are yet so be prepared!"

"I know that Captain Besides, When did I ever lose?"

Scoffs "Kids these days."

Connections huh... Maybe We Could get more intel and if we managed to convince them we might get even more power but that doesn't mean they're completely loyal unlike our members, For now, I'll try to focus on getting intel and working on my body to get stronger, This Job is perfect on trying out my two weeks worth of training with Senior Satoshi.

"Oh, And We'll be expecting a Transaction meeting on the port with some buyers and our target."

"Then What are we going to do with the Buyers?" I Asked

"If they aren't hostile to us then leave them alone if they try to shoot you, Shoot them first got that newbie?"

"Yes! Captain."

"Also here, The katana I requested for you have arrived."

"Oh! Thank you very much, Captain! I'll never forget this."

"Yeah Yeah You don't have to be so formal on thanking me, It's no biggie."

"Hehe."

A beautifully made katana, from the looks of it, It looks like it's custom made too, Captain You didn't have to... Good grief I'll take care of it very well.

"Well then are there any questions? If not then get ready their meeting will start in 4 hours. Prepare everything you need, We'll be also using earphones using decoy phones don't forget it."

"Yes, captain!"

At the port, We took advantage of the surrounding shipping containers, Ryota took the high ground to cover us with his guns. Yuichi, Eiko, and I are stationed on one side of the containers at some small distance, While Captain and Hotaru are also stationed on the other, Slightly further from our current position to cover more space in case anything goes bad. 

"This is Raiden, our target should be meeting with the buyers slightly nearer the seawall where they're going to drop off, although we shouldn't act rash since the place they're going is an open area so we'll get spotted very easily if we acted too quickly. Do not engage without my signal I repeat Do not engage without my signal, If we're lucky they might have some extra goods with them."

"Um, Captain."

"What is it Yuichi?"

"What exactly are they going to buy from them."

"Oh you know, Just the usual, Drugs some few extra stacks of cash, and some few powerful firearms that we don't have so as much as possible avoid shooting the package Ryota."

"Roger that Captain."

Although Vice-Captain Yuichi only has a pistol and brass knuckles right now, His agility is not to be looked down upon because he's a track and field ace back in his day, He told me back then in my first life. 

"Here they are."

As Captain notified us we saw 3 people coming from behind us as we were hiding between the gaps in the containers.

"It seems like they're the buyers," Vice-captain whispered to me through the transmission.

"Wait for my signal, Our target hasn't gotten out of the boat yet."

As our target got out of the boat 10 people accompanied with him "Looks like he's really heavily guarded huh."

"We'll attack once they're about to exchange."

Five minutes have passed and as we watch them about to exchange packages. Captain-

"Attack!"
