Chapter 11 - Crossfire

Suddenly a burst of 19mm bullets being fired can be heard for a mile due to the reverberation from the containers and small gaps between each container, Followed up by the screams of pain and dread, and confusion from both parties, The buyers tried hastily to scurry away from the scene until Ryota shot their legs to stop them. The target was also trying to escape but Ryota took out their vehicle in time

"All that's left is our target, Now we wait for the captain's signal. Get ready Shou-Kun."

I nodded, and without a minute to lose Captain's orders finally came.

"GO! DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE WHATEVER IT TAKES!" 

"Roger!" We said in sync.

Although we may be outnumbered in a Six versus ten, We still have the high ground with Ryota and the others As our plan was to do a simple pincer attack from all sides. Vice-Captain Yuichi and Ryota are giving us cover fire from the vanguard while the rest of us, Go for the flank.

As Yuichi and Ryota are laying cover fire to distract the guards, The rest of us on the ground started to continue on to our positions as planned.

"Don't disappoint us now newbie." Can he stay mental after killing these people? I hope he doesn't go lose his mind afterward because that's going to be a hassle for us, I'm not saying that the newbie's weak but I'm just concerned since he seems innocent, Eiko thought.

"Like hell, I would do that." 

"Heh, Then prove it to us then!" He seems determined and confident... Maybe I was wrong for doubting him, But that doesn't mean we completely accept him yet, He still has a long way to go.

The guards were already in defensive formation but they noticed it a little too late.

While Everyone was busy trying to make themselves a hard target to get shot at while taking the guards out, I went ahead and went for the target, Although it won't take them too long to take the guards out, I used this as a chance to get their trust on me.

As the target was running away on foot with two remaining guards with him, One of them tried to slow me down whilst trying to pull out his gun but he was too slow, In a blink of an eye I immediately sliced his chest down to his abdomen deep enough and took out his 9mm Glock that he tried to shoot me with and used it to shoot their legs as there was a large distance to cover. The last guard tried to do the same thing his co-worker did but he also had the same fate.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Clink Clink

While I was approaching him with his legs shot and frantically dragging his bleeding body as means to survive, all I could hear was a ringing sound And the sound of my footsteps and heartbeat.

As I Finally caught up with him, I looked down at him with a cold stare, His face was filled with fear and blood as if he was telling me to spare him using his expressions. I was about to finish it all off until an idea popped up in my head, Followed up by him pleading for mercy.

"P-please Spare me! I'll do anything!" I should hurry and try to contact my boss, they're going to regret messing with me!

Captain and the others were finished with their work and were now approaching me with the look on their faces as to why the target is still breathing.

"Oi Newbie Why the fuck is he still alive?"  Other than that he managed to kill these two without any hesitation. 

"Hey, Eiko You're being unladylike with your foul mouth right now."

"Shut up Kid, You're also being unwomanly too with you being a battle junkie."

"You..."

"Now now, You two are being unladylike."

"But Vice-Captain!"

"Um Captain, I have a proposal to make."

"What, are you trying to marry me or something?"

"Wha- That's not what I meant captain!"

When Raiden made that joke the whole team was wheezing and trying to hold back their laugh.

"I know I'm just messing with you, Well, What kind of proposal are you talking about."

"I'll just get straight to the point, I want to spare him."

"What?"

"To use him as an asset to get more supplies and information."

"That's not a bad idea but how are you going to make him submit completely, I don't think threatening him will do any good, He can just backstab us or try to escape once he's safe for just a moment-" Suddenly Captain realized something with my plan with a surprised face.

"Don't tell me... You want him tortured?"

"Bingo!" I said with a smile that gives off a disturbing aura.

"You...Haha." what the hell is up with this kid, I wouldn't care if he wanted him tortured with a serious face on his look or something but this newbie just laughed it off and it was a genuine one as if he's having fun with all of this.

"Well?"

"I'll Discuss it with the boss later, for now, let's just take the goods and have someone clean this up."

"What about the buyers?"

"We just let them go, they weren't afflicted with any major gangs so it's fine."

"Oh."

"With that, I think we're all done here. Yuichi, ring us a car from the boss, Tell her we're finished."

"Roger that."

While Captain was walking to get our target to interrogate him the whole time he was screaming for help and mercy so Raiden had to knock him out, As for me Eiko grabbed my shoulder from across while Hotaru and Ryota approached me.

"Great job newbie, but your plan better work or we'll have to kill him. And Sorry I kinda doubted you a bit earlier."

"It's fine, It's understandable."

"Hehe, You're a good person." Said eiko while she was patting my back roughly.

"Well Shou-Kun How were my aim skills, They were awesome right?"

"Oh shut up Ryota stop gloating!"

"Oh come on, Just let me have this moment, Hotaru!"

"Hey Hey, Matsuoka-Kun, I saw you chasing down that guy earlier, You were cool. Kyaaa! You were like Shing and then Bang bang bang, And the part you were approaching him slowly earlier, So cool."

"Oi How come you're helping Shou-Kun gloat."

"Because I think of him as my Big brother now! Unlike you, Bleh." 

"Why you little rascal!"

We all laughed at Ryota and Hotaru's shenanigans as if we didn't just kill a bunch of people earlier...
