Chapter 3: Danger

With no light of hope left in Hart's heart he began to take a sorrowful leave from the environment. Clearly he wasn't wanted here and there was nothing a scum like him could become, a great Magus was a farther cry.

'I hate it, my life and everything around me,' Hart almost broke into tears bitting hard on his lips and increasing his pace as he noticed the eyes of many on him. He was the talk of the second and all made fun of his condition clearly.

"Poor kid, he didn't even get a good power," One girl with long red hair and blue eyes spoke so poorly of Hart shaking her head in disappointment. This was culture so everyone understood, this had nothing left for him left in life.

"He is a weak scum and won't last a second in this world," another male with short white hair folding his hands hissed at Hart from afar as he finally went out of sight, "you shouldn't feel a slight pity Cynthia."

"How could you be constantly heartless jack?" She hissed at him. He was always this way having been born into a great family and not knowing real life, Cynthia on the other line grew up close to the poor masses and knew the meaning of being void of magic.

"I am only stating the fact, he will die anyway and the quicker his exterminated, the more cleansed our planet is save from their kind," he placed a hand on his face and let out a notorious laughter.

"What did you do Jack?"

"In his pocket I dropped a magic pill that would attract magic monsters in the next ten minutes, a quick death for a scum like him."

Cynthia gasped almost standing from where she stood to get to Hart but was restrained by Jacks grasp around her wrist.

"If you're right about this scum, he will survive, but if you aren't he will die," Jack whispered to her immediately passing the message.

He wanted to see how much a scum like Hart would do against magical monsters uninformed, a lesson that those without magic were basically useless.

'Should I really let Jack endanger a boy like that? He's already gone so I can't do anything.'

****

Still sulking on his failure Hart stabbed his hands into his pocket already outside the school gates, it was a bit shocking that no one dared ask a question of his departure, maybe he was already labelled a loser.

Hart raised his look and navigated the upper root of the road no one was there for him just like the road, so empty and holding nothing but vastness.

'Wait there is someone.'

Just one person in total black cloak walking his way, but what did it matter, if it was an assassin for all he cared who died. It was not like he mattered to anyone.

Like a drunkard Hart began to mount steps away from the gates passing by the strange figure and to the endless steps of his life.

'When will this all end? how will I even become a good Magus? what's next for me? Am starving, I haven't even had a bite of food since last the three days. If I die would it really be from hunger, I was really hoping for it to be death from drowning or shame.'

Without a choice he was dying from hunger. What sort of mad man decided magic was everything and turned non magic users to slaves and everything useless.

"I can't bare to think I am going to die today, why is that?" Soon enough as he went farther down the path and more away from the sight of the academy he felt a much stranger presence.

Something was close and he could tell, but how. 'Is my mind playing tricks on me or can I feel something is coming?' the worst part of this was the area he had entered, a place with large bushes and grasses that were knee high.

SHUVVVH!

One of the large bushes began to shake violently and soon loud growls with a stern smell aroused from there.

Hart had already burst into a sprint not needing another second opinion to know a magic beast was there. Prior to his slow escape was a large animal bursting out if the bush with a violent demeanor and chasing after him.

Hart only spared a single sight back to the creature to see it catching up fast. It was a mountain tiger, with the head of a falcon and eight legs.

It was a Hetophodais and a dangerous magic creature to be chasing after you.

"I thought they said this things only chase after people with large magical potential!" Hart screamed o the outside feeling his lungs burst from within, he was no just useless in magic but weak physically. Likewise nature had taken hatred in him to be sending such a monster o finish him off.

GRUCCK!!!

Unexpectedly another Hetophodais burst out of a bush from his side joining in the chase and leaping to his head.

Unbelievably his heart burst into power again increasing his pace and leaving the beast to miss him. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Hart screamed bursting into tears after this, his mind didn't bother his fear but replayed the image of how close he had come to loosing his head.

Hart noticed the two Hetophodais being joined by six more and Increasing in numbers quickly, it was not a fact of them hunting in a group so why was it happening now?

'Mother nature rally hates me, I am going to get ripped apart, not just Hetophodais groups that are chasing after me, but every time I take a look back I see another species of magic animals adding up and all with a glare of bloodlust at me, why have they ganged up to kill me? Isn't this unusual?'

Hart tightened his clench in his teeth already feeling his heart bursting and the army of Magic creatures catching up. Another factor not going his way was the cliff and end of the road up front, a thousand yard drop it more.

Hart was not ready to stop whereas to jump. But after he took his last glance back and counted two hundred magic creatures of almost twenty species, griffin's coating the air and dragons accompanying this numbers his mind made it's own move.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Hart screamed stamping his last foot on the edge of the cliff with the mind of, if I was to die I do it myself, I am tired if others dictating my destiny I will do it myself..... With all those thoughts shrouding his mind he launched himself down from the enormous height and was instantly thrown down like a middle by gravity.

Falling the wondrous height and watching the ground magnify in his sights.

'How I wanted to defy my destiny and where it led, I tried everything mum, I didn't want us to die with me, I wanted to make a son that would continue our surname, but I guess....... I ended up being a failure.'
