ejection.

I leave the bathroom after seeing the kind of person I am. It's possible that I hate myself, but I'm also aware that everyone respects me for what I've done, like my friend Paul, who is taking care of my daughter. I'll pay him, but I'm sure he would have done me the favor without asking for anything in return.

I approach the table where the radio is and hear something that strikes me as strange. I hear someone saying, "You shouldn't have interfered." This puts me on high alert, so I ask what's going on.

"Paul, what's happening?" I say, receiving no response.

After insisting a little more and realizing I'm not getting any answers, I grab my keys and head out to the street to get into my car and start driving. I have a very bad feeling about this, and if Paul isn't responding, something bad must be happening.

I start calling Luci with a faint hope that she would answer, but she doesn't. I know very well what I have to do when things go wrong, so I decide to activate Luci's tracker and see that she was still at the festival.

I do the same with Paul's tracker, which shows that they were both still there, but they weren't responding, no matter how much I tried calling Paul. It wasn't normal. When I arrived at the festival, in a very short time since I ignored traffic lights and drove skillfully, I began searching for Luci.

I followed the point indicated by the tracker, weaving through the seemingly cheerful crowd. I couldn't understand what was happening, which frustrated me. I hoped that Luci's phone had died or that she had forgotten to charge it, and that one of the food stalls had distracted Paul, although believing that would make me naive.

When I reached the location indicated by the tracker, I realized that the signal was coming from inside a campsite, probably the one Luci was using. I'm going to go in there to make sure everything is fine. If Luci sees me so worried, she'll understand it's because of her, and she won't be able to say anything.

I wanted her to see me, as that would reassure me, but it wasn't the case. The place was empty, just like the emptiness I felt. That's why I start searching for her phone. I find it among some pillows, and now it meant that there was no way to find her, for now.

It was frustrating. Luci is always responsible with her phone, so the worry grew even stronger. Before continuing the search, I prefer to go look for Paul, who according to my map was a few meters away from here. He has to know where my daughter is, so I hope I can find him there.

I walked through the festival to reach the other location, and when I arrived, I noticed that there was no one there. I couldn't understand what was happening! I tried to search by circling around this large campsite, but I had no luck. He wasn't here, even though the tracker pointed to this place.

I look towards the grass and notice that Paul's microphone is there. I pick it up and now I understand that the problem is even bigger than I imagined. I clench my fist tightly and break the microphone. I know something is not right here, and it's probably my fault.

I enter that nearby campsite to see if there's anyone who can help me, but to my surprise, I find no one there either, just a lot of mess. However, I noticed something—a bottle of whiskey with Russian labels. That made me even more uneasy than before.

Since I can't even trust myself, I use the other tracker Luci had in her lipstick. I have full confidence that she always carries it with her. When I activate it, it takes a while to load, and that scares me. But it's only for a moment until it finally gives a signal of her whereabouts, but it's not good news at all.

Since she was on the move, heading south at high speed, it made me realize she was in a car. I left the campsite and saw tire marks; I wasn't sure, but I believe they were from a van.

Nothing that's happening here is normal! My daughter knows very well that she has to keep me informed of any situation, not because I'm overprotective, but because her life is at risk every moment, although that can be my fault.

I won't lose my daughter, so I quickly get into my car and hit the road. I have to catch up with them because I'm considering the worst-case scenario: this is personal. The people at the festival seemed to have money, so why target my daughter?

Furthermore, Paul wasn't at his workplace. He probably tried to prevent my daughter from being kidnapped but failed in his attempt. He must also be in danger now. I don't want this to end in tragedy, so I drive astonishingly fast until I reach the same road where the tracker was indicating.

Looking at the map, I realize that she is indeed in a van, one that's driving at high speed but not fast enough for me not to catch up. I have them in front of me, and I can sense the fear that arises when someone does something wrong. And they had indeed made a grave mistake.

Trying to forcefully stop them would be playing with my daughter's life. So I accelerate to be alongside the driver's window. I couldn't see anything through its tinted glass, but I didn't need to. What I wanted to know was whether my daughter was really in danger or if it was just a moment of rebellion on her part.

Something that clearly wasn't true, as this vehicle was driving at high speed and maneuvering through traffic. I was doing the same, determined not to lose sight of them, but I was quite obvious. At one point, this van unexpectedly strikes the side of my car.

They are despicable! I definitely have to save my daughter, so I brake a bit and carefully plan my next move. I have something in mind, but Luci may get hurt... It's a cost I'm willing to pay as long as she comes out of it safely. I position myself beneath the van with the intention of making it lose balance.

I only have one chance, so I carefully calculate the space and try to gain momentum with my car. But that's when I notice someone appearing at one of the van's windows, holding a weapon and starting to shoot at me.

I didn't expect this. My car isn't bulletproof, so the glass shatters instantly upon being shot. Damn, there are multiple shots! I quickly duck behind my car to deny them a clear line of fire, but I wasn't fast enough. My abilities aren't what they used to be. I let my guard down, and now I'm facing the consequences.

As this man hit one of my front tires, the car starts skidding, causing it to veer to the side. The car loses control and begins to roll over. I try to cover myself as best as I can until the car stops spinning.

No one was injured. The shots from that scumbag scared away the other cars on the road, so there were no major damages, except for what I was going through. I exit my car as best as I can, the broken glass causing me some injuries, but nothing hurts more than seeing my daughter being kidnapped without me being able to do anything.

I stare at the car intently, memorizing every detail, and, most importantly, I gather myself to continue pursuing them. I have to find a car right now, steal it, and continue the chase. But that's when I realize that I'm badly injured. I have a deep wound in my stomach that hinders my ability to walk.

I can only consider one thing, and that is that I'm at a disadvantage. However, it doesn't mean that I have lost everything. I can still do many things from where I am. So, daughter, you have to be strong. I won't let them take you away.
