Chapter 9 Disbanded And Separated

They were called “The Striking Vipers.” They were regarded as the strongest party because the members were all over powerful.

Tsuoma Sadeo was the leader and Teruki was the assistant.

The members of the party were, Tsuoma, Teruki, Agnolia, Tiatha, Sigrid, Jikoki and Ashrua. The party had a guardian, the supreme mage, the strongest swordsman, an empath, a goddess, an elf and a kitsune. None in the guild wanted to meddle in their affairs. The Dragon Party were the only ones who could be with them and Tsuoma had gotten them a new member or members, the sisters of Ashrua, Kuri and Haemta. Though younger and less powerful than their elder brother, they were more than enough to take down great monsters on their own. The duo used Lightning and Water spirits for their attack and defense. Though limited to one spirit, they were still very powerful to defeat monsters. And when they combined as one entity, their powers skyrocket and they are called Guardian Primus.

THE GUARDIANS!

The Guardian Primus is the name given to two cosmic merged guardians. They are powerful than the base level guardians but it depends on the levels. For example, a base level guardian cannot merge with a second level guardian. They have to be of the same level to merge. But a Cosmic Level Guardian can merge with any level except the Primus, King and God levels. A Cosmic and Cosmic can birth a Primus.

Ashrua had a second nature, he could transform into King Level Guardian, the second most powerful form of the guardians.

The guardians had seven transformations.

Base Level Guardian

Second Level Guardian

Tremor Level Guardian

Cosmic Level Guardian

Guardian Primus

King Level Guardian

God Level Guardian.

Ashrua was currently Tremor Level but could upgrade without merging to King Level. And these levels all boosted the abilities of the guardians making them extremely powerful and deadly. A second level guardian could wipe out a country level threat, but can still put up a fight to the planetary level Tremor Guardian. The God level is so powerful that the guardian can destroy and recreate a verse. Be it universe or multiverse.

They may be as powerful as this but they had limits to using their full strength. Once they used their full strength to fight against a natural brawl of people, their powers and abilities will be completely depleted. And they must not fall in love. Ashrua's parents broke the law and not only fell in love, they also procreated. The way to birth another guardian was to take the sperm of a male guardian and give to a female guardian without the two knowing of each other. Luxash and Aemha broke the law.

Due to this, the three children were regarded as misfits among other children born of guardians, though they were more powerful. The three had to hold back a lot else their powers could tear the planet apart. The planet of Varda wasn't as big as Earth but still had a sizable amount of space and mass and was bigger than most other planets. With ten continents and nearly five hundred nations.

The striking vipers did a lot of missions. Though one of the members was enough to take care of the threats.

Tsuoma went to the guild with Ashrua and saw everyone talking among themselves in hushed tones. Tsuoma was surprised the usual hustling and bustling of the guild was absent. Tsuoma left Ashrua and went upstairs where the guild master stayed. He saw Jikoki outside of a room.

“Hey Jikoki, do you know what's going on?’’

She stared at him and he saw a drop of water escape her eyes and she fell on him hugging him hard. He was silent, allowing her to pour her griefs on him. He stood like a silent observer.

”He was like a brother to all of us.”

She said amidst tears. Tsuoma was confused but waited till she was ready to say what was causing the whispers. He wondered why the vampire hadn't called him inside yet. And then she dropped the bombshell.

“Midrash is dead.”

The information didn't fully register in him. Midrash, the second strongest member of the guild. It was impossible, the dragon born was a very powerful mage and fighter. It was luck that allowed him survive their last fight.

“His name was Duggan. He is a demon.”

‘A demon, no wonder he couldn't win. But there were only two demons who could know them... wait Trezona said he was the second strongest demon and Urea is the most powerful demon and now we hear of another, I wonder if he is as strong as Trezona and Urea.’

He was deep in thought as a worried expression was etched on his face. He didn't even notice.

“I understand Jiyoki but we can't rush into battle without knowing what's going on. I will have to call on Lariel. Though he is in another city. We need all the help we can.”

“Lariel?” Tsuoma asked wondering who it could be.

“He is the strongest member of the guild. He owns his own party of highly skilled and trained men and women. He is a celestial with wings. The Angel. He goes by Lariel The Feathered One.” Jiyoki answered.

Tsuoma was surprised. They also had an angel. That one must be doing tough missions if he wasn't always around. Jiyoki seemed to read his mind.

“He is doing a lot of missions, he has the potential to be the leader of this guild but he prefers to be in the shadows. Let's go downstairs, they are probably awaiting our decision.”

Tsuoma looked disturbed and walked down with Jiyoki and Armand. Armand looked at the representatives of each party and few party members. Tsuoma caught Natael's eyes looking at him wondering what was going on, it seems he wasn't around the time the news came to the guild. He plastered a smile on his face and waved at him.

Armand coughed to get everyone's attention and everyone stood up and surrounded him probably wanting to hear him speak. The place was silent like a grave yard.

“We have been attacked. The evil ones have affected us. The demons have risen. And Midrash is dead.” He allowed the words to sink in before continuing. “Due to this, our guild has been granted the mission of finding and exterminating any demon we come across. And mind you, no guild is assisting us with this.”

“They don't want to lose their members. Those lowly cowards.” Tsuoma said and held his fists hard.

“I have sent word to The Feathered One. He will be joining us. This is where we part our ways. As of today, the Berserker Stronghold Guild has been disbanded. The government said we must deal with the demons by ourselves and therefore disbanded the guild.”

Tsuoma expected someone to talk out against the decree. And truly someone did.

“Guildmaster, why, we can handle ourselves without him. Why are we to disband and separate?” A man called Elmer said.

“Elmer. Jayvel the leader of all guilds in the nation accused Midrash of summoning the demon that killed him. The demon fought with lot of highly skilled mages but none survived. They naturally assumed it was Midrash who summoned him and was killed.”

‘The dogs decided to shift the blame to our guild uh. I will love to see them one of these days.’

Tsuoma was getting angry at the decision of the head of the guild masters.

“Do not despair, once we rid ourselves of the demon, we can return here. I only hope you all survive. Unfortunately, I won't be joining any party. This is the last time we will speak to one another. Go your ways strong ones. Fight hard and win strong. It was an honour to fight alongside you.”

Armand concluded.

Everyone began looking among themselves. They had been together for a long time and now they were to disband. Their faces contorted. They were angry, why were they to be blamed for what had happened.

Smash!

A fist connected with a wooden table breaking it into pieces. A red haired man wearing a black armour and holding a hammer began to pant angrily.

“We will wipe out all evils and clear our name. Our guild shall not be damped down, except if I am not Dong Hae the third strongest man in the guild.”

The man Dong Hae smiled and everyone joined in, including Armand. Dong Hae lifted his fist and everyone put their fists on his.

“FOR THE BERSERKERS!” They yelled with one accord and left the guild to rally their party and tell them how they no longer belonged to a guild. Natael followed after Tsuoma.

The duo got to Tsuoma's house where Tsuoma broke the news of the separation. “We have to do this to clear our name. It was a false accusation but we the Berserker Stronghold Guild shall show em.”
