"I... is that not Oliver?" Zelda was about to hail a cab when she shivered from shock. Even though she couldn’t see the driver’s face clearly, she was pretty sure it was Oliver.
Speaking of Oliver, she felt guilty thinking about her argument with him. Without giving it a second thought, she picked up her phone and decided to call him.
The cab driver honked at Zelda and asked, "Miss, why haven’t you sat down yet?"
"What am I even thinking?" It probably can’t be Oliver. As she got into the cab, she said.
After buying a set of new clothes, Oliver drove to Twyla Villa Center. Twyla Villa had the best villas in Boston Hills; he couldn't always stay in a hotel, so he drove there with the goal of purchasing a villa.
Seeing the new Audi car, the security guard did not waste time allowing him in.
He drove to the parking lot and parked his car.
"Hello, I'm here to buy a villa. Which one is available?" Oliver asked
A saleslady who was dressed in a white office suit and a young man following her stepped forward and said with a smile, "Sir, you’re welcome to Twyla Villa Centre; our villas are classified into three types." The saleswoman continued to explain,
"We have the third-class villa, where you can get villas ranging from 1 million to 3 million dollars, and with the second-class villa, it ranges from 4 million to 6 million dollars."
"With our first-class villa, it ranges from 7 million dollars and upwards."
Oliver nodded after the saleslady explained everything to him.
"Do you have a magazine containing pictures of all the villas?"
The young man who was behind the saleslady stepped forward and handed a book to Oliver. "Sir, this book has pictures of all the available villas."
After flipping through the pages, he pointed at a picture and said, "This villa looks nicer; I want that one!"
The saleswoman stared at Oliver with her eyes wide open; not only she, but also the young man behind her were taken aback by the image Oliver pointed to.
Oliver was perplexed by their expressions."I only pointed to the kind of villa I want to buy; what’s up with this expression?"
"Sir, the villa you’re interested in is a first-class villa and also the most expensive among all the villas, with a cost of 15 million dollars."
They both were shocked because Oliver had pointed to the most expensive villa. Judging from Oliver’s appearance and the fact that he was driving an Audi, they expected him to choose the lowest type of villa, which was a million dollars.
"I saw the price written below it; that’s why I chose that one!" Oliver replied.
He was pretty sure the saleslady and the man behind him thought he couldn't afford the villa, but he didn't care because 15 million dollars wasn't a big deal in his eyes right now.
"Sir, as I said earlier, the one you chose is the biggest villa left here, and it costs 15 million dollars."
Even if she were killed, she wouldn’t believe that Oliver would be able to buy the villa, which nobody has been able to buy for months now.
"I am ready to buy it, so what’s your problem?"
"Gentleman, what evidence do you have that you can even afford to buy the cheapest villa, let alone the most expensive?"Angrily, the young man with the saleswoman inquired.
He was pretty sure that Oliver was just pretending because he was driving an Audi.
Oliver lost his temper hearing the salesman’s words, "Do you want me to make a report to your boss?"
"You don't have to, because I'm calling my boss! "The saleslady said as she picked her phone and called her boss, explaining the whole issue.
After 10 minutes, a Chevrolet Camaro parked in front of the Villa Center, and a lady around 28 alighted from it and walked inside.
"Woo!"
Seeing the beautiful lady, Oliver was taken aback. She looked stunning in a light blue summer top and skirt and light lipstick. Her perfect curve wasn’t something to be ignored.
The beautiful lady was Logan Cohen; she was the owner of Twyla Villa’s.
Seeing Logan, the two took a step forward and greeted her respectfully.
Oliver was taken aback when he realized the young, beautiful lady in front of him was Twyla's boss.
"Ms. Logan, he is the one saying he wanted to purchase the first-class 15-million villa!"
The saleswoman pointed to Oliver.
Logan turned to Oliver and asked, "Sir, I heard you say you want to purchase Twyla’s first-class villa; is that true?"
Oliver did not answer her question but rather took a card from his pocket and handed it to Logan.
"Swipe it!" He spoke shortly.
Taking a look at his card, Logan frowned. The saleslady and the young salesman who followed her tried to control their laughter.

Chapter 428: Vespera Shot
The cacophony of gunfire gradually began to subside as Vespera and her remaining men pressed deeper into the warehouse. Dust particles danced in the slivers of light that pierced the shadows, casting an ethereal glow on the scene of chaos they had unleashed. The once formidable gang members were now scrambling, their coordinated efforts unraveling under the relentless assault from Vespera’s team.Vespera took a moment to steady her breathing, her eyes scanning the dimly lit interior for any signs of movement. Her twin pistols, still warm from the earlier exchanges, were firmly gripped in her hands. She glanced over to her lieutenant, Marcus, who was crouched behind a stack of crates, tending to a wound on his shoulder.“Marcus, status report,” Vespera commanded softly, her voice cutting through the lingering tension.Marcus glanced up, wincing as he pressed a makeshift bandage against his injury. “We’ve neutralized the majority of their front line. A few are regrouping near the easter
Chapter 427: Vespera Men vrs The Gang
Boom!” Boom!”Gunfire thundered through the warehouse like a crack of constant lightning, echoing off the metal walls. Vespera crouched behind a stack of crates, breathing heavily as she surveyed the confusion erupting around her. Across the open space, several of her men darted from cover to cover, exchanging bullets with the entrenched gang. The flickering overhead lights and the fading daylight outside cast strange shadows on everyone’s faces, making it hard to tell friend from foe at a glance.A sudden movement drew Vespera’s eye—a gang member peering out from behind a barrel. He was angling his rifle around, clearly targeting one of her flanking teammates. Vespera exhaled slowly to steady her aim. Boom!” With a single, crisp shot, she put a bullet through his chest. He staggered, eyes wide in disbelief, then collapsed to the concrete floor. His rifle clattered away from his limp fingers. No sooner had she taken that shot than chaos erupted on her left. Two of Vespera’s men work
Chapter 426: 2 killed
Inside the warehouse, tension hung as thick as the cigarette smoke lingering in the air. The men, on edge from the failed phone call, sat in uneasy silence while their boss poured himself another stiff drink. Suddenly, one of the gang members—a tall, lanky fellow wearing a threadbare jacket—stood up, fidgeting with his belt buckle. “Boss,” he mumbled, trying not to meet the scarred man’s gaze, “I need to step out. Gotta—uh—ease myself.” The boss, halfway through knocking back his liquor, merely grunted. No one else spoke. They watched the lanky man slip past the makeshift barricade of crates and head for the side exit. The heavy metal door groaned in protest as he shouldered it open and stepped out. Outside, the wind carried the faint rustle of footsteps—just enough to prickle the senses. The lanky man squinted into the darkness, blinked, and felt his heart slam in his chest. Figures moved in the shadows—silent, intent, armed to the teeth. It didn’t take long for him to recognize
Chapter 425: Vespera Arrival At The base
An hour later, Vespera and her men pulled off the main road and into a desolate stretch of industrial wasteland far from the heart of town. The drive had been tense but uneventful; now, their headlights illuminated cracked asphalt and abandoned warehouses, all standing silent under the pale glow of a few flickering streetlights. The pavement was riddled with weeds poking through the cracks, and torn chain-link fences ran along the perimeter, giving the area a forlorn, almost post-apocalyptic feel.As they brought their vehicles to a stop near a rusted sign that was barely legible, the hum of the engines cut out, plunging the surroundings into an eerie hush. In the distance, the faint outline of the gang’s base rose against the horizon—a hulking, squat structure of corrugated metal and boarded-up windows. It was set back from the main road, hidden amid tangles of overgrown brush and twisted piles of scrap. An occasional burst of light from a flickering floodlight revealed hints of move
Chapter 424: Logan Is A Family
As Vespera moved towards the car, she turned back to address her team, her expression steely."Before we head out, clean up these bodies," she instructed, her voice firm. "Make sure there’s no trace left behind. I don’t want any sign of this incident here."One of the guards stepped forward, nodding but looking at the black van parked nearby. "And the vehicle, ma’am? What do we do with it?”Vespera smirked, a hint of dark amusement in her eyes. "We’ll handle that too. Have it rebranded, stripped of any identifiers. Once it’s ready, it’ll be delivered to the local orphanage as a donation. They could use a decent vehicle more than these fools ever could."The guard’s mouth curled into a knowing smile as he nodded. "Understood, ma’am. We’ll get it done."The team moved quickly, setting about their tasks with military precision. Two guards began gathering the bodies, making sure every detail was accounted for, while others turned their attention to wiping down the van and removing any wea
Chapter 423: Vespera Wipes All
Grimacing with agony, the man gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, struggling to endure the searing pain that radiated from his wounded thigh. Each breath was a struggle. With a steely glint in her eyes, Vespera withdrew the gun from the man's lips and aimed it at his knee with chilling precision. Without a moment's hesitation, she pulled the trigger, the deafening boom of the gunshot reverberating through the air as a bullet tore through the man's knee, shattering bone and tissue with brutal force. The man's scream echoed through the night, his body wracked with agony as he collapsed to the ground, his shattered knee rendering him utterly helpless before Vespera's merciless interrogation. "Where's the address?" Vespera demanded once more, her voice cold. Gulping hard, the man's eyes darted nervously as he struggled to compose himself through the haze of pain and fear. Finally, with a shaky breath, he spoke in a voice barely above a whisper. "The address... it's..." he
