"This is just a normal bank card; its average limit is only $300,000."

"Just swipe it!" He replied shortly.

What they didn’t know was that, even though the limit for a daily transaction was $100,000, he was the bank’s VIP, so his card was unblocked, making his spending limit unlimited.

"Why do I feel that he’s so mysterious?" Logan thought as she handed the card to the saleslady asking her to swipe it.

Even though the saleslady was furious at Oliver at that moment, she dared not show it in front of Logan. She took the card and swiped it. After that, Oliver entered his password.

Logan didn’t bother to check the machine because she was sure the card was going to be rejected.

"Ping! Ping!"

The machine beeped twice, indicating that there had been a successful transaction.

Logan, like the saleslady and salesman, was taken aback.

Even though she never looked down on Oliver, she didn’t believe that the ordinary card in Oliver’s hand had 15 million dollars in it.

The saleslady who couldn’t believe what had happened, kept on refreshing the machine, but the payment transaction was still there, indicating that it was a real transaction.

Her body shivered from shock, thinking of her previous attitude towards him. Even the sales guy felt ashamed.

"Congratulations, sir, you’re now the owner of Twyla Villa’s first-class villa," the saleslady said with her head down.

The sales guy also brought some papers, which Oliver signed successfully. "I never imagined I'd be able to own a villa," he muttered with a smile.

Logan, who was quiet, was full of admiration for Oliver, not because he was able to buy her villa but because he kept a low profile despite being rich.

Even though Logan didn’t know how rich Oliver was, she was aware that the fact that he was able to pay 15 million without blinking indicated he was worth more than that. Maybe 100million.

"Am Logan Cohen, owner of Twyla Villa Center."

"Hello, Ms. Logan, I am Oliver Storm!" He said this as he shook her hand, feeling the softness of her white palm.

"If Mr. Storm does not have any problems, then I’ll drive you to explore your new house."

"Then I will bother Ms. Cohen."

"It’s my duty!" Logan replied.

Oliver followed Logan’s car with his as they headed to Twyla’s first class-villa.

He was astounded to see his new, luxurious home.

With about 270 square meters on three levels, the villa could be accessed through remote-controlled electric gates. There was a big pool and a large garden. Inside the villa were seven fully air-conditioned bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, an HD home theater, a spa, and others.

Seeing Oliver’s amazed expression, Logan took the initiative and asked, "I hope Mr. Storm is satisfied."

"I'm amazed as to how you got the idea to build such amazing villas," Oliver said, nodding.

Logan smiled but said nothing; she felt Oliver was different from all the other guys she had met. Those people would only try to ogle her most of the time, so seeing him differently, she was amazed.

Furthermore, most rich people would try to flaunt their wealth, always wearing an arrogant expression, but Oliver, who had been able to purchase a first-class 15 million dollar villa, was not like them.

Zelda entered the room as soon as she arrived home, picking up her phone and dialing Oliver's number.

Oliver was having a conversation with Logan Cohen when his phone rang.

He was shocked and happy to see Zelda’s name displayed on the screen. Oliver was already sad and angry when Zelda asked for a divorce, he didn’t expect to receive a call from her.

Oliver immediately pressed the answer button but pretended to be angry.

"Why do you call me?" He coldly asked.

At the other end, Zelda was nervous; he didn’t understand why she wanted to speak to Oliver all of a sudden but was also sad to hear Oliver’s cold question.

"Uhm. Uh… Oliver, are you fine? "Is there anything you need?"

"Is this why you called?" Oliver asked.

He felt pain in his heart thinking about her affair with Alex.

"Don’t misunderstand me; I called to check up on you and inquire about your whereabouts."

Oliver chuckled and said, "Zelda, you asked for a divorce; why do you pretend as if you do care about me?"

"For all these years, I’ve tried my best to be the best to you, but what did I gain in return?"

Without waiting for her to reply, he hung up.

Tears streamed down Zelda’s face. "There’s no need for me to live since you hate me this much."

The cacophony of gunfire gradually began to subside as Vespera and her remaining men pressed deeper into the warehouse. Dust particles danced in the slivers of light that pierced the shadows, casting an ethereal glow on the scene of chaos they had unleashed. The once formidable gang members were now scrambling, their coordinated efforts unraveling under the relentless assault from Vespera’s team.Vespera took a moment to steady her breathing, her eyes scanning the dimly lit interior for any signs of movement. Her twin pistols, still warm from the earlier exchanges, were firmly gripped in her hands. She glanced over to her lieutenant, Marcus, who was crouched behind a stack of crates, tending to a wound on his shoulder.“Marcus, status report,” Vespera commanded softly, her voice cutting through the lingering tension.Marcus glanced up, wincing as he pressed a makeshift bandage against his injury. “We’ve neutralized the majority of their front line. A few are regrouping near the easter

  • Chapter 427: Vespera Men vrs The Gang

Boom!” Boom!”Gunfire thundered through the warehouse like a crack of constant lightning, echoing off the metal walls. Vespera crouched behind a stack of crates, breathing heavily as she surveyed the confusion erupting around her. Across the open space, several of her men darted from cover to cover, exchanging bullets with the entrenched gang. The flickering overhead lights and the fading daylight outside cast strange shadows on everyone’s faces, making it hard to tell friend from foe at a glance.A sudden movement drew Vespera’s eye—a gang member peering out from behind a barrel. He was angling his rifle around, clearly targeting one of her flanking teammates. Vespera exhaled slowly to steady her aim. Boom!” With a single, crisp shot, she put a bullet through his chest. He staggered, eyes wide in disbelief, then collapsed to the concrete floor. His rifle clattered away from his limp fingers. No sooner had she taken that shot than chaos erupted on her left. Two of Vespera’s men work

  • Chapter 426: 2 killed

Inside the warehouse, tension hung as thick as the cigarette smoke lingering in the air. The men, on edge from the failed phone call, sat in uneasy silence while their boss poured himself another stiff drink. Suddenly, one of the gang members—a tall, lanky fellow wearing a threadbare jacket—stood up, fidgeting with his belt buckle. “Boss,” he mumbled, trying not to meet the scarred man’s gaze, “I need to step out. Gotta—uh—ease myself.” The boss, halfway through knocking back his liquor, merely grunted. No one else spoke. They watched the lanky man slip past the makeshift barricade of crates and head for the side exit. The heavy metal door groaned in protest as he shouldered it open and stepped out. Outside, the wind carried the faint rustle of footsteps—just enough to prickle the senses. The lanky man squinted into the darkness, blinked, and felt his heart slam in his chest. Figures moved in the shadows—silent, intent, armed to the teeth. It didn’t take long for him to recognize

  • Chapter 425: Vespera Arrival At The base

An hour later, Vespera and her men pulled off the main road and into a desolate stretch of industrial wasteland far from the heart of town. The drive had been tense but uneventful; now, their headlights illuminated cracked asphalt and abandoned warehouses, all standing silent under the pale glow of a few flickering streetlights. The pavement was riddled with weeds poking through the cracks, and torn chain-link fences ran along the perimeter, giving the area a forlorn, almost post-apocalyptic feel.As they brought their vehicles to a stop near a rusted sign that was barely legible, the hum of the engines cut out, plunging the surroundings into an eerie hush. In the distance, the faint outline of the gang’s base rose against the horizon—a hulking, squat structure of corrugated metal and boarded-up windows. It was set back from the main road, hidden amid tangles of overgrown brush and twisted piles of scrap. An occasional burst of light from a flickering floodlight revealed hints of move

As Vespera moved towards the car, she turned back to address her team, her expression steely."Before we head out, clean up these bodies," she instructed, her voice firm. "Make sure there’s no trace left behind. I don’t want any sign of this incident here."One of the guards stepped forward, nodding but looking at the black van parked nearby. "And the vehicle, ma’am? What do we do with it?”Vespera smirked, a hint of dark amusement in her eyes. "We’ll handle that too. Have it rebranded, stripped of any identifiers. Once it’s ready, it’ll be delivered to the local orphanage as a donation. They could use a decent vehicle more than these fools ever could."The guard’s mouth curled into a knowing smile as he nodded. "Understood, ma’am. We’ll get it done."The team moved quickly, setting about their tasks with military precision. Two guards began gathering the bodies, making sure every detail was accounted for, while others turned their attention to wiping down the van and removing any wea

Grimacing with agony, the man gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, struggling to endure the searing pain that radiated from his wounded thigh. Each breath was a struggle. With a steely glint in her eyes, Vespera withdrew the gun from the man's lips and aimed it at his knee with chilling precision. Without a moment's hesitation, she pulled the trigger, the deafening boom of the gunshot reverberating through the air as a bullet tore through the man's knee, shattering bone and tissue with brutal force. The man's scream echoed through the night, his body wracked with agony as he collapsed to the ground, his shattered knee rendering him utterly helpless before Vespera's merciless interrogation. "Where's the address?" Vespera demanded once more, her voice cold. Gulping hard, the man's eyes darted nervously as he struggled to compose himself through the haze of pain and fear. Finally, with a shaky breath, he spoke in a voice barely above a whisper. "The address... it's..." he
