Leo’s eyes fluttered open and widened; at that moment, something appeared before him that made him absolutely certain of what he had just said.

‘A special reward? What will I get?’ he thought with great enthusiasm.

Amid that surge of dopamine, Beverly’s shrill, high-pitched voice broke the silence.

“You’re a loser!” she screamed loudly. “What do you think someone like you can do, huh? Look at my future husband right here. Charles is very successful in business. He can buy a BMW with cash. It costs nearly 100,000 dollars. A beggar at the food bank like you wouldn’t be able to afford it even if you worked your whole life!”

The couple burst into laughter, not caring that many people in the restaurant were staring at them.

As for Beverly, regarding Leo, she already knew about his finances. He was always short on money.

Gisele gripped Leo’s hand tighter. The woman standing before them was disgusting.

“You sold yourself to that ugly old man just for that car.” Her eyes widened, the corners of her mouth curling up. “You’re truly a cheap and pathetic woman!”

“What did you say? You’re the one with no manners!” Beverly’s voice rose. Her face flushed.

The atmosphere grew even more tense. Leo held Gisele’s hand back to keep her from approaching Beverly. Just as she was about to retort, a notification popped up on the screen.

Her eyes were glued to the text, which felt truly incredible.

His heart felt like it had stopped beating. This was something he had never imagined. His whole life, he’d never thought he’d get that luxury car.

‘A Porsche? This must just be a joke, right?’ he thought. He froze in place. ‘This doesn’t make sense. But… the system never lies.’

“Honey…” Charles wrapped his arm around Beverly’s shoulder and stroked it gently. “They’re just useless outsiders. Trash like them wouldn’t understand what it’s like to own an expensive car. We’d better let them rot.”

Beverly exhaled a long breath through her mouth with a condescending expression. “We’d better eat somewhere else instead of here, right? This place is so low-class.”

Charles pulled out his BMW keys and twirled them on his index finger. Beverly walked alongside him, clinging to him affectionately. Their eyes never left Leo and Gisele.

“Goodbye, losers,” they taunted as they walked away.

Gisele clicked her tongue. “They’re so arrogant.”

Charles’s smile faded instantly when he saw a car blocking his BMW. However, the harsh words he was about to utter were held back. The car blocking his BMW was extraordinary.

“A Porsche! This is truly amazing!” Beverly’s lips curved into a wide smile. Her eyes sparkled. “I really love this red color!”

Without a second thought, Beverly let go of Charles’s hand. She stood in front of the Porsche. Her body swayed gracefully as she posed, while her hands were busy pressing the shutter button. Her smile grew wider, delighted by what she was doing. This was the first time she had ever seen a real Porsche.

Charles’s eyebrows furrowed. He snorted briefly, his jaw tightening. His desire to move the car so his BMW could pass was now put on hold. A Porsche Sport model like this surely didn’t belong to just anyone. He could get into trouble if he acted rashly.

“Hey,” Charles called out to one of the restaurant staff passing by. “Do you know the owner of this car? If possible, I’d like to meet him.”

The staff member tilted his head, scratching his temple with a finger. “Sorry, sir. I don’t know.”

Charles clicked his tongue. His face lifted slightly. “What kind of employee are you? Can’t you do your job properly?”

Charles’s head felt hotter and hotter. He hoped to meet the owner of that Porsche. He thought that anyone who owned a sports car like this must be truly extraordinary. Charles would feel lucky to get to know him.

“That’s my car!”

A voice from the restaurant entrance made Charles and Beverly turn their heads. It turned out to be Leo. Gisele, standing behind Leo, furrowed her brow. Her eyes blinked a few times.

When they came here, they walked.

But Leo walked calmly toward Charles and Beverly. His gaze was cold, without a hint of hesitation.

“This Porsche is mine.”

Charles and Beverly exchanged glances for a moment. A few moments later, they burst out laughing. Beverly held her stomach.

“This Porsche is yours? If you’re going to lie, at least make it sound convincing!” Charles shook his head. His eyes were watering from laughter.

Gisele stared at Leo with wide eyes. She held back from saying anything. In her opinion, Leo must be lying to them, and he was doing it to ensure the two people who had insulted him earlier would immediately feel defeated by him.

Beverly shook her head. “Leo… Leo… are you so desperate to prove yourself? That you have to lie like this. Anyone who knows you would never believe you’re rich. You eat food that’s almost spoiled, you don’t take care of yourself, and you have no money. I’ll admit you’re brave enough to say that, but it’s incredibly stupid!”

Leo shoved both hands into his pockets. His gaze was unwavering. Calm. Sharp.

“What if I’m right?”

Charles shrugged. He stepped closer and raised an eyebrow.

“You’re really claiming to be the owner of this car? I bet you’re just bluffing.”

Leo narrowed his eyes. He tilted his head back slightly. “You dare to bet? If I’m right, hand over your money.”

Beverly laughed again. Her arm wrapped back around Charles’s.

“See! You’re too obsessed with money. It just shows how poor you are. Don’t worry, my future husband has plenty of money. Betting money with you is just a game.”

Charles cleared his throat. He smiled dismissively. “Well, what are you trying to prove?”

At that moment, Leo pulled his hand out of his pocket. Hanging from his index finger was a car key. Slowly, the corners of Leo’s lips turned up slightly.
