The lady immediately raised her face, her silver-blonde hair had been covering her face all this while.

“My name is Emilia Williams and this is my little brother Clarke Williams.”

Emilia Williams said slowly, her voice was hypnotic and she was one heck of a beautiful lady.

Jack Adams was beyond stunted by the beautiful lady in front of him.

'Where the heck have you been all my life and why did Scott Benjamin recommend you to me?’ Jack Adam's thoughts went on a rampage as he stared at the lady before him.

“We were kidnapped by Lord Lucas's men on the northern border of the city on our way back home…”

“I guess it's still the family business rivalry stuff that made my grandfather, Lord Williams, send us out of the country some years ago.”

“Lord Lucas is sadly my grandfather's relative.”

Emilia Williams said as she slowly tried to see the face of the man who saved them but she couldn't quite see Jack Adam's face.

Jack Adams was wearing a face cap and it was dark outside the alley.

“Thank you mister for saving us from those mean and stupid men.”

Clarke Williams said as he dragged Jack Adam's shirt.

“It was really nothing, I just hate it when guys pick on ladies!”

“I mean if they want to fight or bully anyone, they should pick on someone their only size.”

“Thanks again for saving us out there, we really appreciate it.” Emilia Williams said as she smiled at Jack Adams.

“It's really nothing, can you maybe have bodyguards go out with you next time because those guys will definitely be back?”

“We will, thanks once again, can we at least know your name?” Emilia Williams asked.

“Umh, no, I actually don't tell people my name.”

“Just make sure you and your brother get home safely.” Jack Adams said as he led them to the Escalade SUV that they drove in.

Waving goodbye to them, Jack Adams immediately disappeared into the dark alley.

“Wow, Emilia, did you see the way that guy beat up those goons?!”

“He is really strong!”

“And handsome.” Emilia Williams slowly muttered to herself as she stared at her windshield.

“What was that?!”

“Nothing! I said he is…strong!”

Emilia Williams immediately covered up, she was already beginning to like Jack Adams even though she didn't know his name or who he was.

“We better get going now Emilia, you know we have to be back at home to see Grandma Beatrice, I just hope she gets better.”

“I really don't understand what is really wrong with her this time around, why is she always falling sick?” Clarke Williams asked as Emilia put the car in drive and headed towards the Williams family mansion.

“I really don't know why but as soon as we get home, I promise we are going to find more doctors to treat grandma.”

“She will be okay, she has to be okay, we can't afford to lose grandma just like we lost Nanny Anabella.” Emilia Williams said as she navigated towards the Williams family mansion.

“Why do I have a feeling that we have met him before?”

“He just looks very familiar.” Clarke Williams said as his sister, Emilia Williams pulled on at the gates of the Williams family mansion.

“I really don't think we have met him or ever.”

“Good evening Ms.Emilia, Lord Williams has been waiting for you all day, what happened to you guys?”

Mr Thwane the butler in charge of the Williams family asked as he took Ms. Emilia's bag.

“Mr Thwane, we were attacked by Lord Lucas's men again!”

“Those filthy bastards dare to lay their dirty hands on me…”

“They said Lord Lucas went to see me at his villa!”

“What for?” Mr Thwane asked, his face folded in anger and determination.

“What do you think?”

“Don't worry about that, we got lucky a handsome but extremely powerful man came in from nowhere and totally destroyed that b*stard called Kyle Rick and his accomplice.”

“I would have offered Kyle Rick double of what Lord Lucas is paying him and his men but after seeing how a single man totally wiped their asses on the face…I can't help but laugh.”

“You really should have seen how he had those foolish goons on the floor crying for help!” Clarke Williams added as he joined his sister in the laughter.

“Kyle Rick, please help me!” He mocked one of the henchmen and continued laughing.

“And what was the name of this young lad that saved you so that we can find him and thank him the Williams family way?”

“Lad?”

“Who said anything about him being a lad?”

“He is a handsome young man and a skilled fighter, you should have seen the way he maneuvered and took out Lord Lucas's men.”

“Cough! Cough! Mr Thwane was actually asking for just his…name?” Clarke Williams immediately interrupted his sister.

“Yes, his name, what was his name again?” Emilia Williams asked Clarke.

“He didn't tell us his name, he just saved us and disappeared like a ghost into the dark alley.”

“So he is like a ghost or something?” Mr Thwane asked, his eyebrows raised in bewilderment and curiosity.

“Not really, I think he just wanted us to not know who he was at the moment…but I know we will find him, we just have to.”

“Ms. Emilia Williams, I believe we have more pressing matters at hand.” Mr Thwane said as he watched the servants carrying Emilia and Clarke's bags inside the mansion.

“More pressing matters than the man who saved our lives?”

“No, we are grateful that he did, but you see your grandmother, Lady Beatrice has been practically ill.”

“Doctor Chong and his medical team just left here some moments ago…”

“What is it, Mr Thwane?” Emilia and Clarke asked almost immediately, their gaze locked on Mr Thwane.

“Doctor Chong after his medical examination said that…sadly Lady Beatrice might die this time around.”

“He tried all his medical skills and none could help Lady Beatrice.”

“He actually said only a miracle can save Lady Beatrice.”

Just then one of the guards raced towards Emilia, Clarke and Mr Thwane.

“Ms. Emilia, I'm afraid you have to come with me now!”

“What is going on?!” Emilia asked, her face etched with curiosity.

“It's…”

“It's…your grandmother, Lady Beatrice.”

“She is about to…”

“About to do what?!”

“Put yourself together and speak!” Mr Thwane immediately cautioned the guard.

“Lady Beatrice is about…to die!”

Jack cried, his voice raw as he watched in horror. The uniformed men raised their pistols, firing two shots into Whitaker's chest, muffled cracks that echoed like thunder. "Ohh, from Mr Steven Adams, Jack's uncle." He echoed, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Figured as much. The shadows have been closing in."Scott exchanged curious glances with Jack and Lord Leo, his brow furrowing. "Yeah... how did you know he wants to kill you? We pieced it together from encrypted data."Whitaker walked over to his ornate wine cabinet,a polished mahogany piece adorned with crystal decanters, pulling out a bottle of aged scotch with a soft pop of the cork. He poured himself a generous glass, the amber liquid swirling as he took a sip, savoring the burn before responding. "Mr Steven texted us,all of us on that damned list." He said, his voice laced with resignation, holding up his phone briefly to show a cryptic message: 'Your time ends soon. Loose ends must tie.' "Blunt as ever. Threatened to expose secrets

The dimly lit foyer of Lord Harlan Whitaker's mansion was a study in old-world elegance, with polished wooden floors reflecting the faint moonlight filtering through stained-glass windows, and antique vases perched on pedestals like silent guardians. The air carried the faint scent of aged books and polished oak, now tainted by the tension of the standoff. Whitaker, his gray hair disheveled from the brief scuffle, lowered the splintered plank completely, his wild eyes softening as recognition fully dawned. He walked over slowly, his steps measured on the creaky floorboards, extending a hand toward Jack with a mix of astonishment and relief etching his aristocratic features. "Jack... it is really you." He said, his voice a hoarse whisper that grew stronger with emotion. "You are alive indeed. After all these years, the rumors were true."Jack reacted with a warm smile spreading across his face, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he holstered his pistol, the weight of the moment

Meanwhile…Back at Steven Adams' opulent mansion in the city,a sprawling estate of marble columns and manicured gardens, lit by floodlights that cast long shadows across the facade, the meeting room was shrouded in dim light from crystal chandeliers, the air heavy with cigar smoke and the scent of aged whiskey. Steven sat at the head of a long mahogany table, his fingers steepled, face a mask of calculated calm. His allies,Marco, Viktor, and Hiroshi, sat around him, fidgeting slightly in their seats. After a prolonged moment of silence, broken only by the tick of an antique clock, Marco cleared his throat, leaning forward with a raised eyebrow. "So, Steven, why did you call us here if you're handling this personally? Thought you were the lone wolf now."Steven exhaled slowly, a deliberate breath that filled the room with tension, his blue eyes flicking up to meet theirs. "I need your help." He admitted, his voice steady but edged with vulnerability. "I can't do this all by myself.
