Just as he left, he immediately opened the door picked up the bucket and mop and stared one more thing at Betty Thomas before leaving.

“I really should have listened to Scott Benjamin, all these ladies are not worth it.”

Jack Adams muttered to himself as he walked out the front door and towards the back of the building, still carrying the bucket and mop.

“Give me that!”

“Stop hurting him, he is just a child!”

“You both are coming with us, my boss will be happy to see you tonight!”

“Let go of me!”

“Stop hurting my sister!”

Jack Adams immediately started hearing voices from behind the alley.

He immediately stared at his watch, the time was 6 O'clock in the evening but the day was still bright.

Just as Jack Adams walked a bit closer to assess the situation he immediately spotted some men assaulting a lady and a boy.

“Hey! Stop that right now and let the lady go!” Jack Adams spoke as he walked towards the men with his hands in his pocket.

“Well, well, well!”

“Who do we have here?!”

“My advice punk is that you get your sorry a** out of this place!”

“This is a private business, this lady owes us and my boss wants her tonight!”

“And the boy too, is he owing you and your stupid boss too?” Jack Adams asked, his hands still in his pocket as he addressed the situation.

If there is one thing he learnt from his dad Mr James was never to hurt a lady or stand down whenever a lady is being hurt.

“This guy is really funny, what part of get lost don't you understand?!”

“This is Lord Lucas's territory and this case is his to handle, and we really don't want to hurt you!”

“Hurt me, the fifteen of you really think you can hurt me?”

“I really don't believe that and I don't care if this territory belongs to your mother or Lord Losers!” Jack Adam's voice was laced with sarcasm as he continued.

“I want you to unhand that lady immediately and let the boy go now!”

Jack Adams' voice was loud and roared like thunder causing the men to shudder backwards in shock and trepidation.

The leader of the henchmen who was holding the little boy immediately left him and pushed him over to one of his men.

Grabbing an iron baseball bat from the back of the truck, he walked slowly towards Jack Adams.

“Hey pal, we don't know you and you don't know us, this is your last warning!”

“Back away slowly…or you will be inviting the deadly wrath of Lord Lucas and that of the Red Orb group upon not just yourself but your loved ones!”

“Back away pal, go home now and be with your wife and kids if you have any…”

“Go home and pretend all this didn't happen!”

“Load Emilia Williams and her brother Clarke Williams into the van, we can't afford to keep Lord Lucas waiting at all!”

The leader of the henchmen said as he swung the iron baseball bat towards Jack Adams.

“Help me!”

“Please help me!”

Emilia Williams and her little brother, Clarke Williams cried out immediately as the henchmen pushed them towards the van.

“Let them go this minute!”

“I'm warning you, let them go or…”

“Or what?!” The leader of the henchmen yelled in anger as he lunged at Jack Adams with the iron baseball bat.

Just as the baseball bat was about to make contact with Jack Adam's face, he maneuvered and grabbed the arm of the henchman.

With a loud crack, Jack Adams broke the arm of the leader of the henchmen.

“Ahhh!”

“Ahhh! My arm!”

“What are you all waiting for, attack this animal and crush his bones!”

The leader of the henchmen whose name was Kyle Rick yelled out immediately to his men as he lay helplessly on the floor.

Blood gushed out from his arm as Jack Adams had shown no mercy while breaking his arm.

“Do you guys really want to end like him?”

Jack Adams asked coldly as he armed himself with the Iron baseball bat and stood against fourteen goons from the Red Orb crime ring.

“You are a dead meat!”

“How dare you interfere with Lord Lucas's business?!”

“Are you really having a death wish?!”

“You can't come here and mess around with us, especially not in Lord Lucas's territory!”

“This is your last warning punk, if you stand down we promise to not report this to Lord Lucas!”

“Just hand over the Iron baseball bat and go on your knees!”

One of the henchmen, the second in command to the one on the floor, tried to reason with Jack Adams.

“There is no need for this fake truce you are calling right now, I just want you to release the lady and the little boy!”

“You guys aren't leaving him in one piece with any of them!” Jack Adams spoke with much anger in his voice as he spat on the floor before the henchmen.

“I can really see that you are prepared to die today!”

“So be it!”

The henchman immediately pulled out a sharp machete from inside his coat and they all attacked Jack Adams all at once.

The fight didn't last for three minutes as Jack Adams disarmed the whole of the henchmen and had them all beaten to stupor.

“Help me, Kyle, help me!”

One of the henchmen whose leg was broken into two with just a single kick from Jack Adams crawled towards Kyle Rick, their leader who was still on the floor.

“Who…who are you!” Kyle Rick asked, shivering in fear and anxiety.

The floor was littered with the bodies of his men, some had their heads bleeding profusely, and some had their bones broken and crushed to smithereens.

“I'm your worst nightmare!”

“Wait, don't kill me, I have money, I have anything you want, please don't kill me, and please don't take the Lady and the little boy!”

“Lord Lucas will kill us all if we don't return with them, we have been tracking Emilia Williams and Clarke Williams for days now…please!” The henchman begged.

“Well that's not my problem, I warned you before and you losers didn't listen.”

“I will let you go but you are not leaving with the lady and the little boy!”

“Stand up, take your men, I don't care how you carry them, especially those who can't walk again, leave this place and never return!”

“You don't understand, Lord Lucas will…”

“I don't care! Just leave!”

Immediately Kyle Rick stood up, grabbed his henchmen and raced into their vans.

“You will definitely regret this decision of yours boy!”

“No one messes with Lord Lucas or the Red Orb group and goes free, not even the elite of the elites in this city!”

Kyle Rick said angrily before taking a picture of Jack Adams with his smartphone.

“You just bought yourself a one-way ticket to doomsville son!”

“Let's go!”

The goon in front of the vehicle immediately zoomed off leaving behind the lady, the little boy and Jack Adams.

“What's your name and what does the Red Orb group want with you and your brother?” Jack Adams asked, his voice laced with curiosity.

The dimly lit foyer of Lord Harlan Whitaker's mansion was a study in old-world elegance, with polished wooden floors reflecting the faint moonlight filtering through stained-glass windows, and antique vases perched on pedestals like silent guardians. The air carried the faint scent of aged books and polished oak, now tainted by the tension of the standoff. Whitaker, his gray hair disheveled from the brief scuffle, lowered the splintered plank completely, his wild eyes softening as recognition fully dawned. He walked over slowly, his steps measured on the creaky floorboards, extending a hand toward Jack with a mix of astonishment and relief etching his aristocratic features. "Jack... it is really you." He said, his voice a hoarse whisper that grew stronger with emotion. "You are alive indeed. After all these years, the rumors were true."Jack reacted with a warm smile spreading across his face, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he holstered his pistol, the weight of the moment

Steven sat at the head of a long mahogany table, his fingers steepled, face a mask of calculated calm. His allies,Marco, Viktor, and Hiroshi, sat around him, fidgeting slightly in their seats. After a prolonged moment of silence, broken only by the tick of an antique clock, Marco cleared his throat, leaning forward with a raised eyebrow. "So, Steven, why did you call us here if you're handling this personally? Thought you were the lone wolf now."Steven exhaled slowly, a deliberate breath that filled the room with tension, his blue eyes flicking up to meet theirs. "I need your help." He admitted, his voice steady but edged with vulnerability. "I can't do this all by myself.
