CH007: Meeting His Biological Father

“Mr. Jed, your father has asked me to bring you home,” Peter announced the reason for his arrival with a harmonious smile.

Jed frowned slightly. Father? That word sounded strange to him. Both in his previous life and this one, he has never had someone to call his father.

While he was thinking about this, he heard Peter’s malicious thoughts,

‘How is this dirty, fat, ugly-looking creature fit to be my young master? He must have inherited these terrible facial qualities from whichever slut gave birth to him! Even his grades and behaviors are nothing to write home about! None of his teachers had anything good to say about him. A nameless dumbass like him wanting to ride on the Jetti’s coattails. Hmph! Dream on!’

Jed looked up with a cold look and Peter quickly adorned his face with a wide amiable smile. Not even in his wildest dreams would he have thought that Jed actually heard what he was thinking.

“Okay,” Jed stood up after giving this short but cold response. The butler bade the principal goodbye and hurried after Jed while murmuring quietly at how rude he is.

For the first time in both lifetimes, Jed got the opportunity to experience a ride in a luxurious SUV. The way he kept looking round the expensive interior of the car with an astonished look disgusted the butler.

Peter felt he must have never experienced such high-class luxury before. He made a mental note to instruct the servants later to sanitize the spot Jed occupied with his cheap clothing. He managed to hide his disgust while the car drove all the way to Jetti's villa.

When they led Jed into the magnificent villa, his jaws almost dropped. Every single accessory in that house dripped of wealth. He suddenly paled in comparison to the house, standing there in his faded and patched clothes.

As he waited in the hall Mr. Peter had led him too, he pondered in confusion,

“If the deceased Jed’s father was this rich, why didn’t his mother own up to her identity before her demise? Being a baby mama of such an affluent man would have caused her to live in wealth till her demise and would have certainly saved Jed from the miserable life he lived.”

Before he could get an answer to his questions, sounds of approaching footsteps filled the originally silent hall. He immediately stood to his feet and watched as an unfamiliar man appeared with the butler closely behind him.

Jed swept his gaze on the gorgeously dressed man emitting a powerful aura in front of him. He could see some similarities between them.

Only that, he was too fat for his age while this man was looking way too young for his age. It’s obviously due to the easy life he has led.

Jed caught sight of a faint look on the man’s face before it disappeared as fast as it came. Was that a look of— disgust? He shook his head thinking he must have seen wrong. Why would his father look at him like he was disgusted by his presence? Just then, Vendetta chimed,

Name: Alan Jetti.

Profession: Prominent Business Mogul.

Status: Married to Anna Jetti.

Relationship Found: Biological Father To The User.

Personality: Not Pure.

Jed was confused by the last line. What does Vendetta mean by stating his father’s personality is not pure?

“Alas, you are finally here. I’m sorry it took so much time to find you,” Alan’s gentle voice disrupted the thoughts in Jed’s head. “Your mother didn’t inform me about your existence and I was so sad to hear that Selena passed away.”

Jed stood quietly. So the name of the mother to the original owner of the body was Selena. He looked at his father who had a remorseful look and couldn’t explain why he felt so uncomfortable at that moment.

On normal circumstances, a father and son that has never met each other before would embrace themselves and cry happily upon reunion but Alan didn’t make an effort to move forward and Jed felt it would be too awkward for him to rush forward for a hug considering he shares no feeling for this man.

When Alan saw that he didn’t respond, he added, “You aren’t upset with dad, are you?”

He was puzzled by Jed’s behavior. Based on the reports that had been given to him, Jed’s personality was that of someone that would have rushed forward to hug him in tears.

Why then is this young man standing in front of him with a distant look. Even the butler looked pissed.

“It’s alright father. We both didn’t know about each other so we can consider it even,” Alan was surprised to hear Jed speak so calmly as if he was unfazed by the revelation of his identity. Why does this boy seem completely different from the reports he had gotten?

According to his men, Jed is a gullible, oversized, dumb boy that could barely keep up with his grades at Elites High. This made him think of Cullen. What a complete contrast.

“Don’t worry. Now that I know about you, I won’t let you suffer any grievance anymore,” he has also heard about Jed’s terrible reputation in the school.

Such a child was a total disgrace to his dignity! When he finds out who leaked the news of him having an illegitimate child to the public, that person won’t witness another day!

Jed’s eyes turned cold hearing all these. Total disgrace to his dignity? An illegitimate child he’d rather hide away? He felt so disappointed on the behalf of the original owner of his body. Even his biological father seemed reluctant to accept him.

“I will try my best to compensate for all the grievances you have suffered. I have prepared an apartment for you so you won’t have to live in that dorm anymore. I have also secured an admission for you at a third-grade university so you won’t have to worry about your upcoming exams results.” Judging by Jed’s current grades, he will definitely fail the exam woefully.

Jed smiled bitterly, listening to the thoughts of his supposed father.
