"I still can't believe all this is happening.." seated inside a gazebo, Jedidiah observed the calm surface of the lake a few meters away from him, the conversation he just had with Lady CeCe was still fresh in his memory.

His parents were not dead after all but had a high chance of being alive? and his mother came from a multi-trillion dollar family. Barely a couple weeks ago, Jedidiah was working five jobs and earning a hundred dollars a week on average. Yet in what seemed to be an instant, he was the heir to a multi-trillion dollar fortune?!

- Normally Jedidiah would be excited at this turn of fortune. Unfortunately the worries he had easily overshadowed any kind of excitement he could muster.

Who created the System? Why did his mother abandon her heritage? Why were his Parents targeted and who exactly was this Hidden Enemy that Lady CeCe seemed to be apprehensive about? — These were questions Jedidiah desperately needed answers to. Unfortunately Lady CeCe didn't seem to have any intentions of giving him an answer.

"Young Master.." Jedidiah was forced to snap out of his daze as he noticed Chuck approaching the gazebo.

- Unlike their first encounter, Jedidiah noticed the manner Chuck was now presenting himself before him appeared to be more reserved. It honestly made him uncomfortable.

"Does Lady-- Sorry, I mean my grandmother. Does she want to see me?" Jedidiah adjusted the rims of his glasses.

"The Madam is currently resting. The Belkshire Curse takes quite the toil on her." Chuck shook his head.

"Speaking of this Belkshire Curse. Isn't my grandmother rich or something? why can't she just have surgery?" Jedidiah pursed his lips curiously.

- The Madam of a Multi-trillion dollar fortune. Jedidiah doubted there was anybody with wealth exceeding that amount.

"The Belkshire Curse is quite peculiar and Secular methods cannot treat it. However even after meeting with several renowned Alchemists, the Madam has been unable to find a cure to her ailment."

Chuck seemed to hesitate for a bit before he continued.

"If it wasn't for her being worried about the Young Master's safety, the Madam might have already given up on living.."

"Hm?" Jedidiah's brows shot up in a curious manner.

"Worried about my safety?"

"Ah. I must've misspoken. I apologize.." Chuck seemed to have realized something, causing cold sweat to slid down his back.

"Hm? don't play dumb with me. Is there someone after my life? is it the hidden enemy? geez, why isn't anybody telling me anything?" Jedidiah angrily rose up on his feet.

"The Young Master really needn't worry about such trivial matters. Right now, you should be concerned about the upcoming Brunch that is taking place tomorrow. The Madam instructed that I take you to the Tailor.."

"Tailor? for what?"

"To get you a Tux.." Chuck replied blankly.

...

Ben and Dels, fondly referred to as Bendels. This was a popular fashion spot for the Inner Circle amongst the Elites of Angeles City.

"This is incredible.." staring at the gigantic building complex before him that screamed of luxury and extravagance, Jedidiah couldn't help but unconsciously develop a feeling of deep insignificance.

He never knew a fashion store could be so large!

"Young Master, are you sure about coming here without the limousine and a security detail? although I am confident in my abilities, I'll find it hard to protect you in the event of an Assassination attempt.." stepping down from the scooter, Chuck gave the sweat jacket he was currently clad in, a complicated look.

"And why would anyone attempt to assassinate me? it's not like there's a target on my back?" Jedidiah replied in a sarcastic manner.

"Truthfully, this way is the best. We look quite ordinary and last time I checked, Assassins do not go after ordinary people." Jedidiah shrugged his shoulder.

"Indeed. The young master is wise.."

"Tch.." finding the other party's flattery uncomfortable, Jedidiah was just about to head into the large Bendels Fashion Building, when the sharp sound of tires rolling rang out from behind them, followed by a sharp exclamation.

"I must be seeing things. Isn't that the Toad Prince?"

A shiver unconsciously ran through Jedidiah's spine as he instantly recognized the owner of the voice. How couldn't he recognize the voice of the Devil responsible for his personal Hell?!

Alighting down from the Limousine, the smartly dressed Chauffeur respectfully escorted three individuals out from the vehicle. Amongst the trio was a particular fattie who was currently sporting a sly grin.

"S--Spencer? I.. what are you doing here?" Jedidiah nervously stuttered.

After undergoing years of torture at the hands of the other party, Jedidiah had unconsciously developed some kind of inferiorty complex towards Spencer.

"What am I doing? that's a really interesting question considering I should be the one asking you that? what do you think you're doing stalking me huh?" Spencer sneered.

- My palms has been itching to hit something for quite some time now. Is this the heavens answering my cry for closure?!

"I-I'm not stalking you.." suddenly realizing something, the stutter in Jedidiah's voice vanished as his previously slumped shoulders brimmed with new-found confidence.

He just learned that he was the Heir to a multi-trillion dollar fortune. Not to mention the system. Jedidiah was no longer the weak nobody like he was in the past. As such he didn't see any reason why he should continue acting subservient towards his mean childhood bully.

"Hm?" his sudden change in attitude didn't escape the notice of the female amongst the trio, causing an interested smirk to tug across her lips.

- Looks like things are about to get interesting here.

"Hmph. Don't flatter yourself you fat bully. I'm actually here to buy this entire building.." Jedidiah unconsciously spat out before he could stop himself.

"Pft!" the fat on Spencer's cheeks jiggled as he burst into a fit of mocking laughter. As for the man and woman besides him, they blankly stared at Jedidiah, appearing like they were not interested in meddling in the brewing scuffle.

However from their reserved attitude, they obviously didn't take the credibility of his statement seriously.

"So you've learned how to joke around after living your entire life as one huh? buy the building? do you have any idea where we are right now? this is Bendels!!"

"It seems the fat on your face has started obstructing your eyes from reading clearly. The plaque over there clearly reads Ben and Dels." Jedidiah retorted in correction.

"Y--You.. What did you just call me?!" it was only now that Spencer realized something puzzling.

- Since when did Jedidiah grow the guts to exchange words with him? he even dared call him a fattie?!

Even though Spencer was technically a bully, the one thing he hated the most was people pointing out his shortcomings. Especially those who he looked down on as ants beneath him.

Jedidiah was just about to reply when he received a brow raising notification from the system.

He actually didn't mishear him the first time but knew about his identity as the son of Captain Hughs. So why-- "Yep. How many times am I going to answer that question?" Jedidiah clicked his tongue. "Maybe you've got too much dirt in your ear that is obstructing your hearing?" The realization of the situation slowly dawned on Darwin. I was inclined to accept your heartfelt apology after you got on your knees but now? you have not just only been offended me, you have spat on the honor of my father and the entire 30th Precinct!" Realizing the hesitation around him, fear finally began to creep in Darwin's heart. With a slight tremble in his voice, he let out another scowl. "You useless bastards! If anything happens to me you all will be spending the rest of the year at the 30th Precinct. My father is Captain Hughs for pete sake!" Following this sharp exclaimation, the receptionist who were previously attempting to watch from the sidelines, suddenly felt a chill run up their spine. This snobbish brat was actually the son of that Captain Hughs?! Who in the entire city didn't know about the 30th Precinct?! Rumors has it that amongst it's roster of Martial Police officers were sadistic Elites who were deeply instilled with the discipline of upholding the law always. Like sharks, they always seemed to easily locate signs of criminal activities before its roots could spread within their jurisdiction. Of all the 70 Precincts spread across the City, the areas under the jurisdiction of the 30th Precinct were la

The entire lobby descended into stunned silence. Whether it were the receptionist, the bystanders and even the victim himself, they were all stunned at the slap. However, the palpable silence was soon shattered by this simple sentence. "You should thank your lucky stars that I held back. You won't be so lucky the next time you demean my parents." Jedidiah could barely contain his temper whenever his deceased parents were involved. Even back at at Blue Prep School when he didn't have the system it was the same. The only few times he ever tried standing up to Spencer's antics were usually always when his family were the topic of the discussion. This snobbish stranger would've been spared the public humiliation even if he continued talking smack about Jedidiah. But extending that disrespect to his deceased parents? that was obviously crossing a line! —[You have trolled Darwin Hughs for +1050.. +1050. +1050] x5 Darwin had finally come back to his senses and along with it came the

"Excuse me?" Jedidiah's gaze snapped towards the direction of the earlier statement. "Hmph. There is no point faking it. Even my stewards have far better taste in fashion than you. Did you think that just any random miser can afford to dine in the prestigious Velvet Rose Garden?" The speaker was a young man in his early twenties. Clad in a two piece branded suit with an expensive pair of shoes wrapped around his feet, the culprit exuded a snobbish air of superiority that was further accentuated by the luxury watch donned around his wrist. Noticing the confused manner the hypocritical miser was looking at him, Darwin snorted in contempt. "You would only end up sullying the establishment with your presence." Releasing a snort, Jedidiah impatiently snapped. "Although I have no idea why that is any of your concern but except you are the owner of Velvet Rose Garden, I doubt you'd be able to bare anybody from dining there." "Y--You!" tongue-tied, Darwin Hughs found himself unable to m

Navigating the spacious manor building in Lady CeCe's Villa, Jedidiah was left with disappointment when he discovered that apart from himself and the handful of maids he encountered along the way, the entire Villa was devoid of any other living soul! By the time Jedidiah finished his involuntary tour, he was left reeling for breath. Even after he asked all the maids, they all ended up giving him the same monotonous reply — The Madame was out, and Mr. Chuck went along with her. "I wonder where they are right now?" Jedidiah bemused to himself as he arrived at the gazebo behind the Villa's garden. Making himself comfortable on the lounge chair under the gazebo, Jedidiah thought back to the abrupt call he got from Natalie — The other party actually wanted to have drinks with him. However due to being preoccupied with his plan to protect Ayanna and her father from the Skyfall gang, Jedidiah ended up declining her offer. He was now beginning to wonder whether he should accept. Anyways

"I really don't know. But I suppose that sort of scenerio isn't completely unlikely." "Why are you asking me all this?" Dalia directed a puzzled look at Jedidiah's direction. The last question was oddly specific — Almost personal. "I'm just curious." Jedidiah forced a smile. At that moment, Ayanna just happened to have finished sorting through the mess in the cafe. Arriving before the table, she exhaled in an exhausted manner. "I apologize for the embarrassing scene earlier on." "There's no need. The delicious pancakes more than made up for it. Your dad is a really amazing chef." at this point, Jedidiah was a bit tempted to have Ayanna's father work for him. Being the head of Lady CeCe's kitchen would definitely pay better than what he was getting from this cafe anyways. "Actually I am the one who made the pancakes." as she made this confession, Ayanna's cheeks flushed red. She was like a housewife whose husband just praised her talents in the kitchen. "Just like I suspected
