Chapter 01
"Have you heard?" "Shakespeare Academy will be admitting new students next week!" "No way! isn't that the Academy the current X-rank Sentry attended?" "I know right? If only I can be a student there too! It must be really awesome to have an X-rank Sentry as an alumni." "Tsk. With your trashy talent you won't even be accepted as a cleaner there." "What are you talking about? My talent isn't so bad. At least I'm still above one person." The entire classroom instantly burst into a fit of laughter as all eyes fell towards a particular desk. The desk in question was solely occupied by a teenage boy with freckles plastered across both sides of his cheeks. Adding his well tucked in uniform and big glasses, Jedidiah had the appearance of a stereotypical class nerd. "Hm?" Jedidiah had just brought out an inhaler from his pocket when he sensed a presence from besides him. Bang! "What do you want now?" Jedidiah gave the fatty besides him an annoyed look. However this facade di

Beep. Beep. Beep. Currently, a teenage boy in hospital robes had his back against the surface of a hospital styled mattress bed , with eyes clearly wide open but evidently murky; a sign of being lost in a daze. "Tch.." clicking his tongue in what sounded like a frustrated manner, Jedidiah snapped out from his daze as he broke the status of silence in his hospital Ward. - Exempting the noise coming from the heart monitor of course. "I was in a coma for an entire seven days?" Jedidiah thought inwardly, still avidly recalling the dialogue he had with the hospital doctor in charge of him, after he woke up from his bizzare comatose state nearly half an hour ago. The Doctor had naturally been skeptical about his recovery. But even after undergoing several tests, the Doctor couldn't discover anything wrong with him! However this was besides the point because Jedidiah had more pressing thoughts in his mind. Sensing the cold surface of a particular pendant hanging across his neck c

—[Congratulations! You have landed your first successful draw!] Receiving this notification from the System, Jedidiah noticed that the Midas Lottery consisted of Five Segments that read! —Thanks For Spinning — Cultivation Elixir — Healing Elixir — Skills — Weapons ... And currently, the arrow of the spin wheel was currently pointed towards the [Cultivation Elixir] —[You have received +1 Mana Fruit!] Unconsciously stretching out his hand, Jedidiah observed a shimmer of light briefly blossom, followed by the appearance of a certain object falling onto his outstretched palm. Strangely enough, this mana fruit in question was actually a peach shaped fruit with a golden colored exterior. "Mana Fruit huh?" bringing the fruit closer to his face, Jedidiah took a deep sniff and instantly felt his previously tout nerves relaxing. - This caused his eyes to lit up with excitement. Although he had never heard of any mana fruit, the term mana was something that was usually

— Hey Jed, guess what? you have the potential of clinching a scholarship into one of the most prestigious Academy for Elites. Oh, and the icing on the cake - you have a bougie big-shot for a god father! Just when Jedidiah felt like he couldn't get any more sudden surprises since the System surfaced as well as the visit he got from Chuck Diesel, he found himself being discharged from the hospital and in the next thirty minutes, he was at the VIP section of a Private Jet, travelling thousands of miles into a foreign land. The only time Jedidiah eventually came to his senses was when the private jet touched down whist he and Chuck Diesel boarded a flashy limo. Before he knew it, he was admiring the streets of Angeles City via the tinted windows of the limousine. ... "You haven't spoken a single word. Do you need a glass of champagne to moist your parched throat?" after about ten minutes of stiffening silence inside the limo, Chuck was the first to admit defeat. Punching a coupl

Twisting the knob of the door, Jedidiah nervously walked into what appeared to be a majestic looking resting chamber; several thoughts simultaneously racing through his mind. The other party referred to him as her grandson - How in the hell was that possible? As soon as Jedidiah walked into the resting chambers, the first thing he noticed was the king sized bed. However the bed was currently being occupied by someone. Cushioning her back against the headrest of the king-sized bed, Jedidiah sized up the other party. Contrary to what he was expecting, Jedidiah realized that this Lady CeCe individual appeared quite younger than he had visualized. Apart from the few strained wrinkles across some part of her face, Lady Cece appeared like she was just in her late fifties. - But of course Jedidiah heard rumors while growing up that the metabolism of Elites were very different from that of regular humans. For example, there existed some powerful Elites who could slightly slow down the

"I still can't believe all this is happening.." seated inside a gazebo, Jedidiah observed the calm surface of the lake a few meters away from him, the conversation he just had with Lady CeCe was still fresh in his memory. His parents were not dead after all but had a high chance of being alive? and his mother came from a multi-trillion dollar family. Barely a couple weeks ago, Jedidiah was working five jobs and earning a hundred dollars a week on average. Yet in what seemed to be an instant, he was the heir to a multi-trillion dollar fortune?! - Normally Jedidiah would be excited at this turn of fortune. Unfortunately the worries he had easily overshadowed any kind of excitement he could muster. Who created the System? Why did his mother abandon her heritage? Why were his Parents targeted and who exactly was this Hidden Enemy that Lady CeCe seemed to be apprehensive about? — These were questions Jedidiah desperately needed answers to. Unfortunately Lady CeCe didn't seem to have

—[You have trolled Spencer Trevor for +500] Unfortunately Jedidiah didn't have the luxury of mulling over the meaning of the unexpected System notification, because-- "Hmph. Normally in the past, I'd teach you a lesson but things have changed now. You're not even worth my time.." a sneer hung across the corner of Spencer's lips as he inwardly admired his comeback. Not only did he successfully Awaken as a bonafide Elite, his talent was enough to warrant the attention of the Vanderwaal Family and through them pulling some strings, he actually managed to become a student of the Prestigious Shakespeare Academy! - Now a fully awakened Elite and a future alumni of Shakespeare Academy, Spencer felt it was beneath him to have a squabble with a trash like Jedidiah — Well at least not in public. "You say that. But what are you still doing here? do you still need tips for wasting my time?" "Y--You!" a thick vein throbbed across Spencer's forehead. Just what the hell was going on today?Wa

"So this Phoenix Baron. Why can't we just order a tuxedo like normal people do instead of making an appointment?" Jedidiah sipped from the glass of margarita he was holding as both he and Chuck wandered around what appeared to be the waiting lounge area of Bendels Fashion Store's upper floor. Carefully arranged at both sides were see-through glasses containing collections of expensive jewelries and outfits. It was obviously a mild exhibition of the Store's la creme. "Young Master. First of all, the Phoenix Baron isn't who you think they are. Second, it would be really beneficial to have the Phoenix Baron as an acquittance.. especially since you're going to the brunch event tomorrow." "I'm sorry but I don't quite follow." Jedidiah pursed his confusion. "Not many people are lucky enough to rock one of the Phoenix Baron's exclusive work. You going to the brunch in such a fashion would send out a message." "Correct me if I'm wrong but why do I have to do that?" in the face of Je
Chapter 09
After about ten minutes of idle chatters, Natalie's expression suddenly became serious. "Alright. As much as I love to flatter myself, I don't believe one bit that the great young master Zach would come all this way to see me just to discuss the Academy's opening next week." As a business woman, Natalie was far more shrewd than those from her age group. Although they were all Academy students, Zach usually related with a different clique. Back at the Academy, their interaction was normally limited to simple nods or "good mornings". Yet today the other party had gone out of his way to engage in a ten minutes long conversation with her. - He obviously needs something from me. Zach was just about to reply when he noticed that Natalie's glass was empty. "Spence. Why don't you refill miss Natalie's glass and step out from the room for a bit?" "Yes cousin." Spencer who had been loitering at a corner in the office, grabbed the half full bottle of champagne from the mini bar, pro

With their plans to have Jedidiah wear an exclusive piece from the Phoenix Baron to the Brunch event ending in failure, both Jedidiah and Chuck returned back to Lady CeCe's Villa. "So what do we do now?" Jedidiah gave him a look as the both of them stepped into the gazebo at the lake, in an effort to shield themselves from the blistering rays of the afternoon sun."It's a shame we were unable to get you an exclusive piece from the Phoenix Baron. If the Young Master doesn't wish to attend the Brunch, then --" before Chuck could complete his sentence, Jedidiah cut in."This Brunch sounds important to my grandmother so there's no reason why I shouldn't go. As for the matter with this so-called Phoenix Baron, I actually don't care in the slightest." "But Young Master, the Phoenix Baron would've made for a reliable ally.." Chuck protested. - Unfortunately it's the Young Master's first time in the City so he's completely oblivious to certain matters. I need to make him understand! "Loo
