Hendy Wiguna was known throughout the Security Department as an extremely stubborn man. A former reconnaissance platoon commander, he had extensive battlefield experience that earned him everyone's respect. Although their captain had once served in the special forces, Hendy had always believed he was no less capable.

Today, after being provoked by Jonathan, the newcomer who hadn't even worked a full day yet, his blood boiled. Without a second thought, he threw the strongest punch he could muster.

"How dare you act so arrogant in front of me!" Hendy shouted, the muscles in his arm bulging.

Several other security guards immediately stood up. Some stared in disbelief, while others cheered excitedly.

"Whoa, that kid's finished!" whispered a skinny guard with a grin.

"When Hendy makes a move, even street thugs go down, let alone some green rookie!" another shouted enthusiastically, as if watching the main event of a championship fight.

Hendy Wiguna's fist shot forward as fast as the wind, aimed directly at Jonathan's shoulder. Jonathan merely smirked with disdain, as though he were facing nothing more than a child's toy.

When the punch was only three centimeters away from him, Jonathan suddenly raised his leg.

Bang!

A powerful kick slammed into Hendy's stomach. The former platoon commander was launched backward like a cannonball, crashing into the wall with a deafening boom before tumbling onto the floor.

"What the hell?! Hendy got sent flying?!" one of the guards exclaimed, his eyes nearly popping out.

"No way! That's Hendy! He used to be a platoon commander!" another covered his mouth in disbelief.

Hendy groaned as he struggled to his feet, his face flushed with rage.

"You bastard! You actually humiliated me?"

Staggering forward, he leaped into the air and launched a flying kick at Jonathan.

"Take this!"

Jonathan merely turned his head slightly. A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"You idiot. If you're determined to experience my technique, don't blame me afterward."

With lightning-fast movements, Jonathan swung both of his arms.

A simple yet devastating ultimate technique.

Sweeping Away a Thousand Soldiers.

Boom!

Hendy's body seemed to be struck by a violent storm, sending him flying even farther than before. This time, he shot through the doorway, smashed into the wooden doorframe, and crashed heavily into the hallway outside.

"Holy crap! Hendy got blasted right out of the room!"

"The new guy is a monster?!"

Hendy grimaced in pain, but the fury burning inside him far outweighed the agony throughout his body. With a savage expression, he pointed at Jonathan and roared,

"Don't just stand there! Beat him together! Kill this arrogant rookie!"

The other three security guards who had only been watching finally stood up. They looked hesitant, but their pride forced them forward.

"Come on! Let's take him down first!" one of them shouted.

"Let's teach this brat a lesson!" another added.

The three charged simultaneously, attempting to surround Jonathan from different directions.

Jonathan merely chuckled as his body moved with effortless agility.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Jonathan's legs lashed out repeatedly, swift and fierce like iron whips. In the blink of an eye, all three guards were sent flying one after another, rolling out of the room to join Hendy in the hallway.

"Arghhh!"

All three screamed at the same time.

One security guard who had remained seated from the beginning, choosing not to get involved at all, was suddenly sent flying as well.

He landed face-first in the corridor, looking utterly confused.

"I... I didn't even do anything," he muttered bitterly.

Jonathan laughed softly, his voice filled with teasing.

"Hahaha. Sorry. That one was just collateral damage."

Inside the security control room, Captain Alex Amerdo had been quietly watching the surveillance monitors.

Suddenly, he narrowed his eyes.

On one of the screens, Hendy could clearly be seen flying out of the room, followed by three more guards rolling across the corridor.

Alex rose from his chair, his expression turning cold.

"What the hell is going on?" he muttered.

He knew Hendy very well. The fact that the man had been thrown around like an empty sack could only mean one thing.

Before he could move, a chubby security guard came running into the control room in panic.

"Captain! Captain Alex!" he shouted breathlessly.

Alex turned toward him.

"What happened? Why is there such a commotion on the first floor?"

The chubby guard swallowed hard before pointing at the monitor with trembling fingers.

"It... it's all because of the new guy, Captain! A guard named Jonathan! He's... he's unbelievably arrogant! He just started working today, and he's already beaten us up. He even sent Wiguna flying!"

Alex Amerdo narrowed his eyes.

"Jonathan?" he repeated flatly.

The guard nodded frantically, desperate to be believed.

"Yes, Captain! If we don't stop him now, he'll create an even bigger mess!"

Amerdo let out a deep sigh before picking up his cap from the desk.

"Fine. I'll handle this myself."

Captain Alex Amerdo arrived with steady footsteps.

The cold aura surrounding him instantly made the atmosphere tense. Every security guard still capable of standing immediately straightened their posture.

Alex looked at each of them one by one before finally fixing his gaze on Jonathan, who stood calmly amid the chaos.

"You're Jonathan?"

Jonathan gave a slight nod.

"Yes. And before you misunderstand, I was only defending myself. They attacked me first. Otherwise, I wouldn't have laid a finger on them."

Alex narrowed his eyes.

"Self-defense, huh? Against four men who somehow ended up flying into the hallway?" His voice dripped with sarcasm.

Jonathan smiled faintly.

"That's the truth. If you don't believe me, you can ask them yourself."

He then casually extended his hand.

"I'm Jonathan. Nice to meet you, Captain Alex."

Amerdo snorted but accepted the handshake.

Deep down, he wanted to teach this overconfident newcomer a lesson.

"Let's see how strong you really are."

His grip tightened.

It was a crushing handshake forged through years of special forces training, powerful enough to make an ordinary person's finger bones creak.

Yet the moment he squeezed, Alex Amerdo froze.

Jonathan's hand felt strangely soft, almost boneless, like gripping a piece of wet cloth.

What is this? he thought.

Before he could increase his strength, Jonathan's hand suddenly transformed.

It hardened like a steel claw, instantly reversing the pressure and locking onto Amerdo's wrist with astonishing force.

"Ugh!"

Amerdo frowned as a sharp pain shot through his wrist.

For the first time in years, he experienced a counterforce from an opponent he had completely underestimated.

Panicking, he immediately unleashed Golden Thread Binding the Wrist, a technique from the Thousand Capture Arts, hoping to subdue Jonathan.

Yet even after exerting his full strength, it was no different from an ant trying to shake a towering tree.

How is this possible? Even my Thousand Capture Arts are completely useless against him, he thought, utterly shaken.

In that instant, Captain Amerdo realized his opponent had reached the pinnacle of martial arts mastery, a level far beyond his own.

Jonathan then released his grip without pressing the attack any further.

He smiled.

"From today onward, I'll be serving under your command, Captain. I look forward to your guidance."

The words were simple, yet they struck Amerdo's pride like a hammer.

His expression became complicated.

On one hand, he was frustrated that his own skills had been utterly outclassed.

On the other, his anger was directed even more toward his own subordinates, who had recklessly picked a fight with someone as powerful as Jonathan.

Now Jonathan was no longer looking only at the elderly woman's face. He could also see the threads of fate flowing around her body. A dense golden radiance surrounded her, a sign of immense fortune coupled with an equally great burden that had remained with her throughout her life. The elderly woman gazed at Jonathan for a long moment, as if trying to determine the true extent of the young man's abilities. Then, in a hoarse yet steady voice, she said, "In that case, don't tell me about my future yet. Prove yourself by revealing my past instead. Tell me who I am and what I have been through." The crowd immediately erupted into murmurs. "Whoa, that's a difficult request..." "If he gets it wrong, Jonathan is finished." "This is a real test." Patrick, who stood beside the elderly woman, folded his arms across his chest. His sharp eyes remained fixed on Jonathan, clearly prepared to intervene if the young man said anything inappropriate. Jonathan took a deep breath. This was exactl

In truth, the elderly woman lived not far from the town square. Every weekend, she would come there for a leisurely walk, enjoying the lively atmosphere while breathing in the fresh air beneath the banyan tree. She had actually been standing among the crowd for quite some time, quietly observing Jonathan from a distance. After seeing several of his predictions come true, her curiosity was piqued. In the end, she decided to step forward and personally test the abilities of this young fortune teller. As soon as she sat down on the small chair prepared for her, the middle-aged man behind her, Patrick, her personal bodyguard and most trusted confidant, immediately stepped forward to support her respectfully. His expression remained vigilant, as though he would not allow even the slightest threat to come near her.Jonathan felt his blood pumping with excitement. Confidently, he removed the black sunglasses that had been covering his eyes the whole time. The crowd was instantly astonished.

Because two consecutive fortunes came true almost immediately, Jonathan's reputation soared. More and more people gathered around him, and in just over an hour, he had already served more than a dozen customers. Every prediction was accurate, but the customers only gave small voluntary tips. Although his hat was gradually filling up, the money he had collected was still far from the amount he wanted.Jonathan grew dejected, wondering when he would ever reach his target. He silently calculated in his mind. "At this rate, even if I stay here until tonight, I'll only earn a little more. How am I supposed to reach ten thousand dollars? These people have it easy. My predictions are spot-on, yet they only give me two-dollar tips. But when they visit those fake fortune tellers, they're willing to pay tens of thousands." He grumbled in frustration. How could he be valued less than those fraudulent, lecherous fortune tellers? He glanced at his hat, now filled with stacks of bills. The crowd ar

On that bright Saturday morning, the town square was bustling with activity. Street vendors lined the sidewalks, children ran around laughing, and elderly people sat leisurely chatting with one another. Beneath the third banyan tree, a new sight caught everyone's attention: a simple stall with a small table covered by a black cloth. Behind it stood a wooden sign with bold words painted across it:"Face Reading and Fortune Telling. If I'm Wrong, It's Free!"Jonathan sat confidently behind the table. His hair was slicked back with pomade, a pair of dark sunglasses gave him an air of mystery, and an old hat rested on the table to collect payments. Bernad stood a short distance away with his arms crossed, watching curiously to see whether his friend's "side business" would actually attract customers.Less than twenty minutes later, a young woman approached with a panicked expression. She was breathing heavily, her hands tightly clutching the shoulder bag she carried."Sir, please tell my

Jonathan smiled faintly before raising his hand and pointing at Bernad's palm."I can read palm lines, calculate a person's fate, and sometimes I use small divination tools. I'm not as skilled as those famous fortune tellers, but it's enough to make people curious. I figured that instead of wasting my break time, I might as well use it to earn some extra money. To be honest, our salary is just too low."Bernad stared at him in disbelief. His face was filled with shock as he asked seriously,"My goodness! This is the first time I've heard you have such a strange ability. So, you're planning to open a fortune-telling stall?""Yes," Jonathan answered firmly. "I've noticed that on the dirt road west of the company, a few old men often set up fortune-telling stalls. Maybe I can join them there."Bernad immediately shook his head."Don't, Jo. That place is too quiet. The only people passing by are street vendors pushing carts or workers rushing home. If you sit there, you'll probably fall a

Leaving the President Director's office, Jonathan's steps felt heavy, but his expression had become much calmer. The anger that had flared up earlier had subsided by half. Deep down, he understood that although Mella had never shown a friendly face, her scolding and warning were not entirely driven by ill intent. There had been genuine concern hidden beneath her harsh words.Even so, Jonathan did not think much of the Sigoro Family. To him, they were nothing more than pebbles scattered along his long road. There were far more important matters than wasting his time thinking about the grudge of a spoiled rich man like Victor. At the moment, two problems weighed heavily on his mind. First, he needed to gather enough money to redeem his confiscated ID card, an essential requirement to get his administrative affairs back on track. Second, and far more urgent, he had to find his parents. They had been separated for far too long, and he no longer wanted to delay their reunion.Jonathan stop
