I'm sitting on my plastic chair totally mind blown, I didn't get this much shock when I heard the price my game was supposed to sell for.

This was a part of the partnership contract right in front of me, the company Mr Dave worked with was gonna turn the game into a vr game.

I'm not talking vr like wearing glasses and Jumping around, it was an immersive, full dive experience with your consciousness being projected into the game.

Technology had come a long way and the line between imagination and reality was really blurry in this generation. But I had thought it would be a couple more years before vr would advance to this stage, hence my absolute shock, and the fact that my game was gonna be one of the first to become a full dive vr got me on cloud nine.

Click!!! With a flash of light from his phone, I regained my senses, this bastard just took a picture of my stupifide expression.

" Hahahah... You should have seen the look on your fa.... Oh wait you can"

And with that said he turned the phone around, showing me a picture with a person closely resembling a monkey that smoked crack for the first time. I'll just pretend I don't know who that is to protect my dignity.

But vr bro for real?, thats just fucking amazing!! I yell at the top of my voice.

"Better believe it bro, Mr Dave said they actually had this tech in hand for couple years now, they just didn't release it because of their head engineer, he was a bit of perfectionist.

So he deemed our game perfect for the launch?

" Nope, be said the game needs a lot fine tuning and that the Monsters looked like trash, and he said the music and some of the sound effects you used would have warranted a copyright infringement.

Come on I was only using the basic tools available, and how would know about copyright in music? It's supposed to be free, I suddenly don't like him so much.

" Don't worry about it, the company is gonna call in the professionals for that, he did say the mechanics were nothing short of marvelous not to talk about the destiny engine and currency system"." The game is gonna break the world view of video games".

Oh he is a pretty cool guy after all.

Ace "..."

"Anyways we are going to Singapore".

Another bombshell, this isn't good for my heart at all.

When are we leaving? i asked With an unhealthy amount of anticipation.

"Well about that......"

It's been six months since we got the partnership contract, and yes I'm already in Singapore. In fact I've been here for five months now.

Ace and I didn't have international visas and that why we spent almost two weeks getting everything processed, talk about a slow process. Oh well it's Nigeria anyways, what would you expect.

Right now I'm sitting on very cool looking Chair with a huge screen attached to the wall just twenty inches above my desk.

The screen was about seventy inches wide and was evenly split into four parts, this was to help me track different parts of the game I was personally working on.

This was my office in Apex technologies, the very company we had a partnership with. We were given a 3 bedroom apartment and two cars, we had different chauffeurs since we didn't have licences to drive on our own. Not that I knew how to drive anyways.

Anyways Ace was always out and about, doing something I can't remember even tho he told me, while I'm mostly here in the office guiding the remaking of the game.

There wasn't really much change to my original game design. They only changed like every fucking thing for the "aesthetics" he said," your NPCs look like a 3 year old drew" them he said. I do not like that chief engineer guy.

Asides from brutally criticising my art, the game has become something even better than I had imagined. Plus the currency system was finally set.

Rebirth online as we had decided to name it, had a crypto currency system. This means that every in game coin a player picked up could be withdrawn into thier real life digital currency wallet.

This would make the game stand out even more since players could make cool cash by playing the game, and the rebirth coins crypto currency would also become more popular and in high demand. Killing five birds with one stone...... Don't know why I said that.

Looking at my screen I'm convinced that the game is ready for launch and as if on cue chief engineer Jerad Ben knocks on my door.

Good afternoon sir Jerad I greet .

"Good after Rejoice", he replies with eyes fixed on my screen, curious guy.

"Did you find any more things to work on?" he asked but what he means is actually " isn't it time to launch yet?, our competitors might release something before we do at this point".

Not to worry sir the game is ready to launch, we can give her to the world now, I replied mimicking ace's sheepish smile. I must look very annoying right now.

"That's just beautiful, we will officially release her on 07 of February, thats in a month's time"

Huh? Will that be enough time to get enough people to play? Wasn't a month too short for advertising?

" We have been advertising her since months back, you would know that if you actually paid attention in board meetings".

I swear I could see him roll his eyes.

Well whatever, I'm about to play the best game the world has ever seen, I refused to be a beta tester for the game cause I didn't want to ruin the surprise and fun. I know I was the major developer of the game but you have to remember that even I dont remember how big the forgotten shores really are. And ye that's the name of the chain of islands in the game, they have individual names but together they were just called the forgotten shores. My naming sense make me wanna cry at times.

The group finally reached the Crimson brotherhood's temple. It was called a temple but in reality it was just five rundown houses that were somehow connected to each other, a second floor was built ontop of the others, the craftsmanship was simply terrible. Thier combined luck stats must've been the only thing that kept the place from crumbling and killing them all.“Are we seriously gonna fight in that death trap”, Rogue Josh asked with a hint of mockery in his tone.Dreamweaver could not believe his eyes either,” I feel like if we give them time, they might all die once the building collapses”.“I can't believe this”, Rogue Josh said while suppressing a laugh,”this, is the god-damned holy temple?“, houses made out of cardboards look sturdier than this”.Avatar001 clicked his tongue in dissapointment,” it is what it is”.A folded scroll appeared in his hands, “little mate, you will be put in charge of reconnaisance, this right here is a map of thier hideout, I need you to find all th

The boys looked on in wonder at how seamless and smooth all the operations were. They boarded a small hot air balloon with a maximum of five passengers. This one was meant for short travels between floating settlements, the sirilan district was one of such platforms after all.The balloon took to the air with moderate speed, the group observed the world below like country bumpkins who boarded an air plane for the first time. The pilot chuckled at the sight, although not often, people like this would board his balloons from time to time. It was really a sight he enjoyed.Avatar001's eyes shifted to the other passengers, a woman with a baby in her arms, and a man with no expression on his face, he wore a big trench coat that covered everything from

  • farewells

Mitchell Sanguinis stood before Dreamweaver, her back against the door, her figure was tense for reasons he couldn't understand but decided not ask, he wasn't one to care about people's past or trauma. So what did you want to talk about?, he asked calmly.Mitchell shifted slightly, a habbit she showed when she was uncomfortable.“I intend to return to the church”, she said softly.Dreamweaver eyed her for a second, draped in a loose gown that obscured her figure, her hair was still tied back into a pony tail, slightly wet but not enough to drip to the floor, “she must have taken a bath too”, he thought. His thoughts remained on her for a second longer than usual as he felt his heart rate rise slightly, he promptly caught himself as he focused his gaze on the window adjacent to where he sat on the bed.“You are free to do as you please”, he replied after some thought, “I have no desire to keep you trapped, I still don't know why my god's asked me to save you but that's something we can

Dreamweaver cracked his neck and fingers as if he was about to battle a demigod.“Demesne are an awakened, or beast's will made manifest. Think of it like domains from jjk, but since Mitchell won't know what that means i'll elaborate. When an awakened reaches a certain strength threshold, they gain the ability to influence the world around them in a much grander way. They directly influence the area they occupy and temporarily reshape it to fit their inner world. What the chimera used back there was only an incomplete demesne, it's level is too low to use a full demesne.“So technically, players will have the ability to use bloody domain expansions”?, avatar001 asked.Dreamweaver gave a nod,”I believe at level 40, that's the high tier threshold”.“Then why the hell was a lvl27 monster using one”?, rogue Josh asked. This time it was Mitchell who spoke up, “the chimera is not something natural, it's the product of alchemical experiments, the demesne it unleashed didn't hold even 20% of
