Allen

The Next Morning, Alora and Dan stood talking in the balcony, it was about to rain.

"God! That rum is all over my head". Dan said, rubbing his temples.

"Is it hurting?". Alora asked.

"Not just hurting.. it's HOWLING_ like a werewolf". Dan responded.

Alora chuckled. "It's been a long while since I saw Gary".

"Gary? Oh! The werewolf? Yeah, he's like the part of our past now.. Alice badly betrayed him". Dan said.

"She's a slut.. she was in a relationship with a werewolf, a human AND a fellow Vampire at the same time".

"Hmm". Alora nodded.

"Guys! Come here". Harvey shouted from inside.

Alora and Dan headed inside. Harvey was standing in the living room, dressed in black pant suit. He was holding some keys.

"Wassup? You going somewhere?". Dan asked with his hands in his pockets.

"Ofcourse! It's Monday.. I have to go to the office". Harvey replied.

"Ooh!". Dan nodded.

"Anyways, these are your apartments' keys". Harvey threw the keys on the table. "I'll text you the address, go and have a look at them today".

"Sure". Dan picked up the keys.

"I should leave now, don't wait for me tonight, go wherever you like to.. if nothing comes in your mind, head to the club". Harvey smiled. "Be careful, guys".

"Okays". Dan gave a thumbs up.

"Alright, bye". Harvey turned to go. "Oh yes! There's a nice coffee shop down the street, try it".

"Will you leave now?". Alora chuckled.

"Yeah, Yeah". Harvey opened the door. "Alora? Call Neil.. he might be waiting for you". He chuckled and left.

"What!". Alora said.

Dan laughed and stroked her back. "He was kidding".

At noon, it started raining, Alora and Dan wore their raincoats and walked down the street towards the coffee shop which Harvey mentioned in the morning.

Dan opened the door for Alora and she stepped in.

"Ooh! It's warm". She looked around.

"Even though it's summer, the rain has made the weather cold". Dan rubbed his palms together to heat his hands up. "Let's sit".

They moved towards the booth right beside the window. It gave a nice view of the street.

A barista headed towards them.

"Hello, Sir.. hi Madam". He greeted. As soon as he saw Alora, he fixated his gaze on her. "Wh-". He wasn't able to say anything.

Dan gestured Alora to look at him and don't avert her gaze as he was charming.

"Hi". Alora smiled at him.

The barista stared at her for a while and then took a step back, looking away. "What would you like to have?".

"A latte for me and_ uhm, dear bff? ALORA?". Dan said her name extra loudly. "What about you?".

"Umm". Alora was unable to say anything. She didn't knew anything about coffee. "What do you have on your list?".

"Vanilla Latte, Cappuccinos, black coffee, cold coffees". The barista replied.

"Okay... Allen". Alora read his name from his nameplate. "What do YOU think is the best here?". She tried to flirt.

"Umm". Allen blushed. "I love our caramel macchiatos".

"Oh! I'll have THAT then". Alora nodded.

"Sure". Allen smiled. "I'll be back with your order, would you like to try our waffles too?".

"Yes! Yes! Why not?". Alora said.

Allen gave a nod and went away, still blushing.

As soon as he went into the kitchen, Dan leaned towards Alora from across the table. "Damnit Alora! You nailed it". He chuckled.

Alora grinned and looked down. "Thanks".

"Listen, he's charming and is infamous.. he was attracted to you. Maybe HE can be that chosen one.. for that, I want you to go to him and ask for his number before leaving". Dan spoke seriously.

"Come on Dan! Not every guy who is attracted towards me can be the one we are looking for!". Alora was annoyed.

"He was sent to us by God, otherwise, (he pointed at the female barista standing near the kitchen counter) that ugly looking barista could be the one taking our order! Why HIM?".

"Uh huh? We can't be so sure that it's him!". Alora said.

"We will find out!". Dan exclaimed.

"And how do you think will we convince him to take off his shirt to see his back?". Alora asked angrily.

Meanwhile, Allen came to them with two American Waffles. "Here you go, Miss". He said.

"Thank you, Allen". Alora smiled at him. "I'm waiting for my-- uhm, Caramel Macchiato".

"Just a minute, Ma'am". Allen replied and went away.

"I don't even know what that Machi-to_ whatever it was, IS". Alora said.

"Caramel Macchiato_ Allen's favorite". Dan smiled.

"Shut up". Alora blushed and looked out.

Dan started eating the waffles.

Something made Alora restless. "Umm, Dan?".

"Hmm". Dan replied, eating.

"Dan!". She grabbed his hand.

"What?". Dan looked up.

"We shouldn't sit here". She said.

"Why?".

"We_ don't have a reflection". Alora said in almost inaudible voice.

Dan's eyes widened, he looked at the ceiling to floor window and then to the people sitting in the coffee shop, making sure no one noticed. "Damn! How can I even forget it!".

He quickly stood up and picked up his waffles plate.

"Come on, let sit somewhere else".

Allen approached them as they got up. Before he could tell them about his presence, Alora knocked into him, ruining her dress with coffee.

"Oh! Damn". She cried, looking at Allen.

"I'm really sorry Miss--". Allen looked at the mess.

"Are you okay?". Alora asked.

Allen looked at her in surprise. "What?".

"Are you okay? Are you hurt? That coffee might be hot". She tried to brush off the coffee from his stained shirt.

"I'm _ alright, Ma'am. What about you?". He looked at her dress. "I'm sorry I ruined your dress".

"No! It was my fault.. I should be the one saying sorry". Alora said.

"Alora?". Dan interrupted. "Would you like to go to the washroom to clean it up?". He winked.

"Oh yes!". Alora turned to Allen. "Mind showing me the washroom?".

Allen smiled nervously, giving a nod. "This way, Ma'am".

Alora left Dan standing right there with a smirk on his face. He knew what she was doing, she was taking the advantage of spilling the coffee.

Allen was literally trembling as he led het towards the washroom. He opened the door.

"Can I help you with something?". Allen asked.

"Yeah". Alora nodded. "Can you come in?".

"What?". Allen was surprised.

"You have to clean yourself up too, right?". She raised her eyebrow.

Allen scratched his neck. "Well, yes".

"Come in, then". Alora said.

Allen followed her into the washroom and closed the door behind him.

Alora turned on the tap, wetting her hands. She grabbed some tissue paper and cleaned her shirt.

Allen stood watching her. She glanced at him. "Oh boy! I totally forgot". She took some tissue paper and moved at him.

"I can do it myself". Allen chuckled.

"Oh please lemme do it". Alora said. She pretended that it was impossible to get rid of the stain. "Could you take your shirt off?".

"Ahem, I don't get it?". Allen said.

"I'll wash it". Alora replied.

"Oh_ is that appropriate?".

"It's perfectly okay".

"Sure.. if you're comfortable". Allen took off his shirt, revealing his muscular body.

Alora gasped at his handsomeness, staring at his bare chest.

Allen looked up at her. "I'll turn around". He handed the shirt over to her.

Alora grabbed the shirt. She carefully examined his lower back. There was nothing. No mark, no scar.

She sighed in defeat and hurriedly washed the shirt from where it was stained.

"Here, I tried to clean it but-". Allen turned and interrupted her:

"It's okay, there might be a spare shirt in the staffroom".

"Oh! Okay". She nodded. "I_ should better get going now".

Alora headed out of the washroom with a frustrated expression on her face.

Dan was still standing there.

"It's not him". She looked down sadly.

"Why are you sad? We already KNEW that finding the chosen one is not a piece of cake_ yeah?". Dan stroked her back.

"But what if he thinks that_ I'm into him?". Alora asked.

"I have a solution for that too". Dan sat back in the booth. Alora followed suit.

He called a barista again and placed the order.

They chatted for a while when Allen came with their coffees.

"Umm_ Alora? You were telling me that your BOYFRIEND has gifted you a Lamborghini_ did you drove it yet?". Dan asked. He gestured Alora to play along.

"Uh_ yes! I went on a drive with him last night. The car is absolutely amazing! And then it's my favorite color!". Alora chuckled.

Allen's face fell. He quietly placed the coffee cups and went away.

Dan and Alora watched him go and shared a high five.

"Wow". Alora smiled.

"Let's have our coffees and get out of here". Dan said.

"I don't think I should drink it..". She looked into her coffee cup.

"Why not? I bet you'll love it just like you loved the pizza". Dan responded. "Try it".

Alora took a sip hesitantly.

"So?". Dan raised his eyebrow.

"It's _ good".

Dan smiled victoriously and downed his own.

Back at home, after Alora changed her stained shirt, she talked to Dan about what happened in the coffee shop.

"I feel bad for that guy". She said.

"Hmm". Dan was sad too. "It's no biggie, you can just be friends!".

"Friends? No no". Alora shook her head. "I don't want to go back to that shop".

"What? Why? Their coffee was amazing!". Dan sat up straight.

"It WAS! But I don't want to face him again". Alora responded. She took her phone. "Forget about it...how can I listen to songs?".

"Lemme teach you". He grabbed the phone from her and started teaching.

In the evening, Harvey came back. He was a bit angry why they didn't went to see the apartments.

"Are we a burden?". Alora asked.

"Wait, what!". Harvey was astonished.

"Why are you angry then?". Alora said. "We can go tomorrow!".

"We can! But wasting the time is a stupid thing to do. Every single second counts, Alora! Alice already knows who the guy is. She will succeed to seduce him even before we FIND him". Harvey told. "You sat here all day and did_ nothing?".

"We did!". Dan replied. "We went to that coffee shop you mentioned.. and there was a handsome barista".

"Oh really?". Harvey's anger faded away.

"We are making progress with the list". Alora said.

"I want details". Harvey sat next to Dan and looked at him expectantly.

"Alright?". Dan glanced at him awkwardly and told him the details.

"Three men so far". Alora said as he finished up.

"Three? Okay, Neil, Allen and who's the third?". Harvey asked.

"Lucas!".

"Luc- no no! Don't count him. He WAS attracted to you but he's gay!". Harvey said.

"You yourself told her to add him". Dan interrupted.

"My mistake".

"Okay? Two men". Alora erased the name from her list which she made on a piece of paper.

"Good." Harvey smiled. "Now I would like you people to go to the apartments tomorrow and shift there asap".

"Ugh! Fine". Dans scoffed.

"How about going to hunt?". Harvey raised his eyebrow.

"I'm in, 'cause I'm hungry". Alora said.
