Outside the private room, the Yemin and Faye stood in the dimly lit corridor as the sounds of Katherine's excited chatter faded behind them.

The Yemin's face remained impassive, his dark eyes reflecting the muted overhead lights as he regarded Faye with quiet contemplation.

"Aren't you going to tell them the truth about Peter?" Faye asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "They're completely delusional about what just happened."

The Yemin shook his head slightly, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Some truths are better revealed through experience," he replied, his voice calm and measured. "Tomorrow will be... educational for them."

They'll learn soon enough what kind of man Peter really is, he thought, picturing Katherine's inevitable disappointment when reality collided with her fantasy.

As they walked toward the exit, Katherine and her entourage emerged from the private room. Katherine's eyes narrowed when she spotted them, her previous fear replaced by contempt now that Peter was gone.

"Look who's still here," Katherine sneered, her voice deliberately loud. "The party crashers who ruined everything before my knight in shining armor saved the day."

James puffed out his chest beside her. "My father always says that connections are everything in this world. Some people just don't understand how things work."

"You're both invited to the Crystal Palace tomorrow," Katherine added with a malicious smile. "Though I doubt either of you owns anything appropriate to wear to such an exclusive venue."

One of her friends giggled. "Maybe Faye can borrow something from the discount rack at the thrift store."

"Or perhaps the Yemin can bring his fighting skills instead of a gift," another friend chimed in. "Though I doubt Peter would appreciate a repeat performance of tonight."

Faye's cheeks flushed with anger, but before she could respond, the Yemin placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"We'll see you tomorrow," he said simply, his calm demeanor unaffected by their barbs.

As they walked away, Faye could hear Katherine's poisonous whispers: "Don't worry, I'll make sure they regret ever crossing me tomorrow. Peter will see them for what they really are."

Outside in the cool night air, Faye turned to the Yemin with concern in her eyes. "Should we even go tomorrow? They're clearly planning something."

The Yemin looked up at the star-studded sky. "Sometimes, the trap one sets becomes their own undoing."

Meanwhile, back inside, Katherine gathered her friends in a tight circle, her eyes gleaming with malice. "Did you see how pathetic they looked?" she hissed, her perfect manicure tapping against her designer purse.

"Totally," agreed one friend. "That Faye thinks she's so special."

I'll make sure both of them are humiliated beyond recovery tomorrow, Katherine thought, her mind already racing with schemes. No one ruins my birthday and gets away with it.

"James, baby," she cooed, turning to her boyfriend with a calculated smile. "Do you think Peter would be open to a little suggestion about how to handle troublemakers at the party?"

James nodded eagerly, still riding high on his perceived importance. "Peter clearly respects my family. I'm sure he'll listen to whatever I suggest."

"Perfect," Katherine replied, kissing him lightly on the cheek while her eyes remained cold. "I have a few ideas about how we can teach Faye and her weird boyfriend a lesson they won't forget."

If only they knew who they were dealing with, James thought smugly. My father's call must have really scared Peter straight.

Later that night, in her apartment, Faye stared at her limited wardrobe with frustration. Despite her misgivings about attending Katherine's new party, she knew that declining Peter's invitation could have consequences.

"I shouldn't go," she muttered to herself, pulling out a simple black dress—the nicest thing she owned. "But if Peter really is as dangerous as he seems..."

She sighed as she has to go party, though she don't wants to go.

Across town, Katherine stood in her massive walk-in closet, surveying dozens of designer options. "Perfect," she murmured, pulling out a stunning red gown. "Everyone will be looking at me when I put my plan into action."

She picked up her phone, scrolling to Tommy's contact information. If Peter won't help me teach those two a lesson, perhaps Tommy will be more cooperative, she thought, her lips curling into a cruel smile. After all, he has his own score to settle with the Yemin.

The tension in the room remained palpable, with everyone still processing Peter's dramatic change in attitude. Peter stood nervously before the Yemin, his earlier aggression completely dissolved into deference. He cleared his throat and glanced around the room, his eyes landing on the "Happy Birthday" banner hanging limply from one wall."Wait, is this a birthday celebration?" Peter asked, his voice unnaturally cordial. His gaze settled on Katherine, who was still clutching James's arm.Katherine nodded hesitantly. "Yes... it's mine," she stammered, utterly confused by the shift in dynamics.Peter's face brightened with an artificial smile. Perfect excuse to get out of here with some dignity intact, he thought, mentally calculating how to extract himself from this humiliating situation without losing more face."Well, this is unfortunate timing," Peter said, spreading his hands apologetically. "To make amends for my subordinate's disgraceful behavior, I insist on hosting a proper cele
