Lecter was in the office when he got a call from his secretary that Mia was waiting to see him. He wondered why she was suddenly showing up at his company without notifying him or telling Anna to let him know she would coming.

He thought it was because of Anna she’d come; his mind didn’t go to the fact that Mia might have something to her sleeves.

Lecter told his secretary to direct her to his office and shift the meeting he was supposed to have to another hour.
