Logan looked at his wife lying in bed, eyes closed, occasionally furrowing her brow as if in pain.

Seeing her in such a pitiful state made Logan angry and painful, and he instinctively reached out to gently touch her face.

But then, the words that escaped Bethany's lips in her sleep froze his hand in mid-air.

"Don't go, Troy..." she murmured, calling out another man's name even in her dreams, her hands flailing as if trying to grasp something.

Suddenly, she grabbed Logan's arm, making him even more agitated, and he pulled away sharply.

"Troy, don't go!" Bethany shouted in panic, then sat up abruptly.

She opened her eyes, scanning the room in confusion. When she saw Logan, she froze. "T-Logan... what are you doing here?" she stammered.

"Shouldn't you tell me why you're in the hospital?" Logan shot back, glaring into her eyes.

Seemingly startled by his harsh tone, Bethany lowered her gaze, her eyes darting around, unsure how to respond.

But after a few seconds, she seemed to grow annoyed that her usually meek husband dared to confront her. She raised her right hand angrily and attempted to slap at Logan's face, just like she always did when he upset her.

Whenever Bethany was in a bad mood or Logan made her annoyed, she would "reward" him with “slaps”, believing he was too cowardly to retaliate.

But this time, Logan caught her hand and flung it aside. He would no longer be a doormat!

The sudden movements aggravated her injury, and she instinctively clutched her abdomen, grimacing in pain.

Seeing this, an unnameable fury ignited within Logan.

As a husband, he had been out working while his wife secretly entertained another man at home, possibly even acting like a submissive slave. It was a blow to Logan's male pride.

He couldn't help but shout, "Screw your frigidity! Bethany, you're a damn liar, a filthy whore!"

"Tell me, who is that man? Who is Troy?" Logan struggled to suppress his anger and sadness, his fists clenched so tightly that his nails dug into his palms, his voice trembling as he asked.

Bethany looked up, her eyes wide in disbelief that Logan would dare to fight back, even using such vulgar language against her.

"Logan, you're a complete failure! I'm your wife, and I'm a patient. Is this how you treat your wife and a sick person? You've disappointed me so much! I regret marrying you, a worthless piece of trash, three years ago!" Bethany snapped back, blaming Logan instead of answering his question, as if he were the one at fault.

Logan felt utterly disillusioned. She didn't even care that he knew about her infidelity, nor did she care about his anger or sadness. In her eyes, he was merely a lowly servant.

Ironically, she had just been missing that man named Troy in her dream.

"Bethany, it's me, your husband, the failure in your eyes, who provides a good life for you; it's also me who comes home every day to cook lavish dinners for you; and it's still me who stays by your side when you're sick..." Logan stated, his heart heavy, his voice cold.

However, Bethany was unmoved by his words, even pretending to fiddle with her fingernails.

Seeing this, Logan let out a self-deprecating laugh and then mocked, "So what about that Troy guy? Where is he? He got you injured and in hospital—what did he do for you? Nothing! He’s still hiding?"

Bethany initially ignored Logan, but when she heard him insult her lover, she could no longer remain silent. "He's busy! You worthless piece of trash, you’re not qualified to slander him!"

After a moment's thought, she paused, then said proudly, "Logan, if you want to save our marriage, stop digging into my relationship with Troy. We can pretend nothing happened. You’re still my husband, and I’m still your wife. We can live a happy life."

Bethany spoke with arrogance, confident that Logan would submit.

But Logan found it absurd and laughable; she didn't even ask for his forgiveness but instead wanted to maintain this “three-person marriage”.

Three years ago, he had defied his father's wishes, and escaped from the big family to marry Bethany, firmly believing she would be a good wife.

However, those actions he had done felt like "sharp arrows" piercing him at this moment.

"Bethany, Let's divorce!" Logan said, utterly disappointed in Bethany, not wanting to linger with her any longer.

As the night grew deeper, the table emptied, leaving only Logan, Alexander, Seraphina, and Udinov nursing their drinks. Patricia had gone to check on a renovation project upstairs, giving Logan a rare moment alone with his children. He leaned forward, resting his arms on the table. “You’re all too busy.” Seraphina smirked. “That’s rich, coming from you.” Logan chuckled. “I know. But when was the last time you all sat like this? No boardrooms, no deals, no strategies?” None of them answered and then Logan sighed. “You were raised to be strong, to command, to win. But power without family means nothing.” Alexander exhaled, rubbing his temples. “You’re getting sentimental here, Dad.” “Maybe,” Logan admitted and continued; “Or maybe I just don’t want you three to lose what I fought so hard to build, which was not the empire, but this.” Alexander tapped the rim of his glass. “And what exactly is this?” Logan looked at them, they were his legacy, his greatest creations, he utt
