Chapter 11: Beast nation Forest!!!

High Chief Goro had relayed all the information from Kendra to Lancelot and his team.

Lancelot has spent most of his time in deep meditation, constantly learning about his element, 'fire', and that of air and beast that he had added.

He knew he needed to be very strong if he wanted to make a statement in defiance of the tyranny of the air nation.

He practiced constantly as his sister did, only

Dice spent most of his time in pleasure and rest

He felt he had gone through a hard time previously and thus needed time to rest before more wars were encountered.

The message from Kendra had piqued the interest of Lancelot but he felt he needed time to persuade this beast-men to join the fight.

Nonetheless, for him, power was more important at this point if he were to succeed in fending off the air nation. He decided it was probably best to join the water nation.

He decided to leave the beast nation in three days and since he had already passed the beast nation land test, he was qualified to come back if he wanted to, so he decided he could just come back when he felt that it was the time to.

Within the next three days, he had given High Chief Goro the plan he had, to make the beast nation strong and also merge them with the outside world,

Lancelot had gradually grown to be a leader everyone could trust, except for the scheming, greedy beast-men who have harbored the desire to exchange him and his team for a few million golds.

Lancelot was just 19 years of age but has shown wisdom and leadership far beyond his age.

He had been able to see through Lennon and his team's plan and has led the soldiers of the beast nation to capture them.

He Has also helped to increase food cultivation and processing within the land and also ensured that more of the beast-men applied their innate beast-men abilities to improve the nation as a whole.

By the afternoon of the third day, they set out of the beast nation, following a map that high Cheif Goro had given them, and continued towards the water nation.

Dice complained all through as they were leaving the beast nation, while both Lancelot and his sister, 'Cherry, ignored him.

There were two routes to the water nation, the first was through the forest and the second was through the beast nation underground canyon.

The canyon was safe but would take them up to two weeks to get to the water nation while the forest would take them four days to reach the water nation, it hid so much evil, that no living soul dared to venture in.

High Chief Goro had advised Lancelot to go through the canyon but he stubbornly refused and chose to go through the forest instead.

High Chief Goro didn't know why Lancelot blatantly refused, he only thought of the danger of the forest and the better option but unknown to him, Lancelot had discovered that there was a beast nation skill that was sitting in that forest untouched, waiting for anyone to claim it as theirs.

This skill was so precious that if anyone knew of its whereabouts they would rather risk dying than avoid the forest.

The skill was the ability to call on the spirit of thee beast nation God, normally only a beast-man was entitled to this kind of power but for Lancelot, being a hybrid capable of merging with all elements, he has more than qualified to take it on.

This unknown fact was what plagued the intelligence of the other worried beast-men, especially High Chief Goro and his other trustworthy associates.

Dice looked at Lancelot with a snicker "Now that you turn out to be the chosen one, you want to put your head in as much trouble as possible unnecessarily and risk our lives!"

Cherry had just about had enough of Dice's constant complaining as she turned around and released a fire blast,

Dice was hit by the fire blast to his chest and sent him flying a few meters behind her as he landed at an odd angle, bruising his jaw and shoulder bone, while the cloth around his chest where the fire hit was burnt to a point where it burnt the hairs around his chest.

Dice got up with rage in his eyes as he bent the blood around the fingers of Cherry, cutting off blood flow completely, causing her fingers to start to wither.

Cherry remained smiling like she wasn't even feeling the pain.

Dice was surprised, shocked, disturbed, and concerned as he saw Cherry get out of his blood-bending technique easily,

"how did you..."

He turned to the side and saw Lancelot releasing some kind of summoned being that took the place of the attack, although blood was being bent, it wasn't Cherry's blood but that of a Medusa-like multiple-headed snake that Lancelot had conjured up.

Dice immediately stopped all his attacks.

He knew he definitely couldn't afford to offend Lancelot so he receded in defeat and got up without saying a word again.

The trio then progressed towards the entrance of the forest and entered without a single bicker.

At the entrance were two snail beast-men guarding the entrance.

High Cheif Goro had handpicked the snail men because of their highly sensitive antennae, able to pick signals from miles away.

Their connection to the ground makes them experts at scoping out vegetation and detecting vibrations within the earth.

They also have such highly efficient and sharp eyesight, making them a perfect detective.

'Lancelot, what brings you and your team here?

the taller snail beast-man standing at 198 centimeters, asked with a curious gaze.

Dice simply walked past the guards without paying heed to them as he was still furious with Cherry and didn't care about any consequence.

The guards didn't even try to stop him, they knew he had the upper hand if they were to face off against him.

Lancelot just smiled "we're heading off to the water nation," he said with a smile and moved to pass through the flanking guards, but both of them crisscrossed their staff to block his path.

'These idiots thought that Dice was hard to handle but some stupid insight revealed to them that they could easily handle my brother, such fools, you guys must be tired of living';

Cherry thought within herself.

A group of beast-men that had been hiding suddenly jumped out from the secluded areas.

They numbered up to 20, with all manners of different beast men in their ranks.

The leader came out, he had the mane and face of a lion and the body of a man, he tapped the shoulders of the two guards, "well done" he said.

Dice was knocked unconscious and tied to a tree, all these happened simultaneously as the men came out.

Suddenly air nation members floated down from the sky.

"As promised," the lion beast-man said as he reached out his hands demanding payment.

The leader of the air nation team shook his head,

"After we capture them, then you will get your payment"

then he turned to face Lancelot and shouted

"Attack"
