"Jordan, what do you think you're saying?" Mark was the first to recover, and immediately, he burst out into a fist of laughter.
The others also burst out laughing looking at Jordan, disdain written all over their faces. "If it were not for your dishonest acts, do you think we would all be here?" Mark sneered as he stopped laughing. "Besides, if it was you in the past who said this, then I would have believed it without a doubt." "Who the hell do you think you are right now?" He continued with a sneer. "You're just a criminal, so you'd better shut the heck up and not interfere in what you're not supposed to." "I...." Jordan wanted to say something, but he felt a soft tug from Zoey and thus didn't say anything again. "Fine, I'll get the contract in three days." Zoey agreed. "I have your divorce papers ready, get ready to sign them in three days." Mark sneered. He firmly believed that there was no way Zoey was going to be able to get the contract, so he was not even thinking about it. "Fine." Zoey gritted her teeth and pulled Jordan out of the banquet hall. ------ "What do you think you were doing back at the banquet?" Zoey glared at Jordan immediately after they stepped into the house. After leaving the banquet, she brought Jordan straight to the house where she lived. After the incident, the Clarkson family considered her a shame and took everything from her. The only thing they didn't take was her job and this was because they felt that she was useful and would help them secure more contracts. Her pay had been cut and she was barely given enough to sustain her. "What do you mean by that?" Jordan asked as he looked around the house in confusion. He had a lot of questions he wanted to ask, but he felt there was no need to ask. He was going to know after he did some investigation. "What you said at the banquet. Do you think I have a chance at getting the contract?" Zoey sighed, rolling her eyes at Jordan as she managed to fight back her tears. Jordan was someone who was just a victim of injustice and she knew about it. Besides, he was an excellent man, and she believed that if he was given the time, he was going to rise once again. Also, he was the first man she loved and most probably the last, so she was unwilling to get divorced. "Don't you believe that you could get the contract?" Jordan's voice softened as he looked at Zoey. He could read the emotions in her eyes and thus knew how she felt, so he felt rather sad. "You're intelligent, and I believe that if you put in more work, you'll be able to get the contract." He continued, his voice growing softer with each second. "Stop trying to praise me and tell me why you were so confident?" Zoey sneered, trying to hide the smile on her face. Back at the banquet, she could feel that Jordan was extremely confident and she had felt that aura from him five years ago, so she felt that he had a means. "Alright, to tell you the truth, I've not been in prison all this while." Jordan sighed. Zoey's eyes opened wide in shock hearing what Jordan said and she didn't know what to say. "After a month of getting to prison, we were taken away by the army to serve as soldiers depending on the number of years we had to spend on the battlefield." Jordan continued. "So while on the battlefield when we went on a rescue mission, I was able to rescue the son of the owner of Skyline Technologies, whose father then came to see me and promised to help me anytime I needed help." Jordan continued.. Though his words were a lie, it was not entirely that. The first half was the truth. And the last half was the truth. He had indeed saved the son of the owner of Skyline Technologies, and the other party was willing to offer up the company, but Jordan was not willing and just turned it down. After all, he too was not a poor man and, over the years, had amassed quite a number of wealth which he couldn't count. Also, he felt that the company was too small, and the owner had a whole lot of other companies, so he was not interested in taking over just a minor company. Zoey's eyes widened in shock as she looked at Jordan. She couldn't believe her ears. "After five years, we were allowed to return back and now I'm retired. I'll just have to look for a job." Jordan didn't allow Zoey's thoughts to wander and continued. "So I'll give him a call, and I'm sure that as long as your proposal is good, they would be willing to give you a contract; after all, what they need is talent." "But aren't you supposed to use that favor to get yourself back and bounce back to what you were before.." Stuttered Zoey not knowing what to say. "You think too much wifey. I'm giving up this favor for you cause I know you can do it. Also, you don't want to divorce me, right?" Jordan continued, a smirk curled up on his face. "Yes...." Zoey nodded, her heart beating heavily as she couldn't believe that Jordan was going to do so much for her. "Then you should just trust your instincts and prepare for the contract. Take it tomorrow, and I'm sure they'll be willing to review it." Jordan continued. "Yes..." Zoey nodded. "Then you should waste no time and go and prepare for the contract so you can take it tomorrow; after all, we don't know how long it would take them to review it." Jordan smiled. Zoey nodded and immediately turned around walking into the room to do as Jordan had said. Jordan had a smile on his face as he watched Zoey walk away. He had already come back and he was not going to allow anyone to bully his wife or take her away from him.

Does The Owen Family Know?
In a flash, three hours passed, Jordan and Azure Dragon were still where they were, no one saying anything to each other. Azure Dragon stood silently besides Jordan, watching every single thing in the surroundings, ready to attack anything that looked more like a threat. Jordan on the other hand sat on the bonnet of the car, staring into the distance. No one knew what he was thinking. His expression was blank and it didn't look like he was thinking about anything. He was just there, staring into the silence, not knowing what to do. He could still remember the content of the letter clearly. No matter how he tried, he couldn't find a hint to what he wanted. Who exactly were his parents? Just how strong were they to be able to look into his divination? Could it be that they had seen everything that was supposed to happen to him? A lot of thoughts ran through his mind at the moment and he didn't even know where to start. In a flash, another hour went by again. The silence rem

"Drive safely dear," Ava waved at Jordan who had gotten into the car. Azure Dragon nodded and started the car driving away almost immediately. Ava watched as the car disappeared from sight, shook her head and walked slowly back to the orphanage. She also has no idea who Jordan's parents were. At the same time, she had no idea what was inside the metallic box. Though it had been with her for a while twenty seven years, she had never tried to open it to know what was inside. Shaking her head, she could only hope Jordan was going to find the answers he wanted. Jordan and Azure Dragon on the other hand drove slowly along the highway. The silence in the car was a little bit heavy. No one was saying anything. "Remember to offer some financial aid to the orphanage when we get back," Jordan finally broke the silence, his voice a little bit hoarse. "Yes sir," Azure Dragon nodded, his eyes still on the road. He couldn't tell what his master was going through, so he just continued to dri
Flashback
Hearing Ava's words, Jordan's expression changed, but he still nodded slowly, his brows narrowing into a thin line. "But how did you know?" He asked after a long moment of silence. "Your mother told me," Ava responded, not hiding anything from Jordan who froze the moment he heard that. "My..my mother...?" Jordan stuttered, not believing his ears. "Yes your mother," Ava nodded, the smile on her face didn't fade even for a second. "It all happened on a stormy night," She recounted, her eyes showing a hint of reminiscing., "Back then, I had just been employed and it was my second night here at the Orphanage when I heard a knock on the door,"FLASHBACK (Twenty Seven Years Ago) Thunder crackled in the sky. The already downpour intensified, further darkening the already dark sky at the dead of the night. Everywhere was silent, and only the sound of the downpour could be heard. Hearing the voice, Jordan froze in place, his body shuddered as he turned around slowly, the old voice still ringing like an alarm bell in his head.Though it had been more than a decade since he last heard the voice, he could recognize it well. There was no need to be told who it was. That was the woman who took care of him as a kid until the Garrison family came to adopt him. That voice, though now old, had definitely risen and looked after hundreds of children at the Orphanage.Turning around slowly, he came face to face with a woman in her late sixties, wrinkles all over her face and she looked older than she was supposed to.Well, this was due to the stress of taking care of the orphaned children over the years."Jordy?" The lady called again, just to be sure, her wrinkled face filled with shock as she stared at Jordan."Yes mother, it's me, Jordy," Jordan nodded, his eyes red at the moment, his body shaking as he stepped towards the lady."Jordy, it's really you...." "Don't worry Zoey, I'll definitely give them a way out, I won't be too harsh on them, I'll just teach them a slight lesson," Jordan chuckled agreeing to Zoey's pleas."Thank you very much," Zoey instantly became excited and kissed Jordan's cheeks after which her face went red after realizing what she had done."I..I need to go do some work in my room, I won't be coming out for a while..." Zoey stuttered and hurried back to her room."Sister, you'd better do fast and give me either a healthy niece or nephew, I've waited for too long," Sarah who was also sitting on the sofa teased, watching as Zoey's face became redder while rushing into the room."Don't talk nonsense Sarah," Zoey scolded before her figure disappeared into the room.It was the next day already. The night before was a nightmare just as Zoey had expected, her classmates had looked down on Jordan.Though Jordan didn't really flare up as she had expected, he still did teach some quite a lesson, causing them to either lose

Just as the previous day went by so quickly, the next day came and also went by quickly. At the moment, Zoey was pacing around the small house, glancing at her watch every second."Jordan hurry up, we'll be late!" Zoey finally yelled as she couldn't take it any more."Sister, you should take it easy on brother-in-law, after all you didn't inform him of the reunion quickly, if it were not for your persistence, he wouldn't have agreed to go," Sarah who was sitting on the couch chuckled as she watched the TV.Zoey scoffed and rolled her eyes at Sarah. Today was her school reunion. She also didn't know about it until someone told her about it which in turn forced her to inform Jordan who was reluctant to go."Jordan!" Zoey yelled again as she got increasingly impatient. If they continued to stay back, they would be stuck in traffic and that would be bad.If only she knew how powerful Jordan was and that he could directly teleport them to the venue, maybe she wouldn't be this anxious."I'm
