(The Next Day)
"Are you sure I'll be able to get the contract?" Zoey looked at Jordan skeptically. "You don't have to worry, dear wifey. I called the owner of Skyline Technologies last night, and he promised to take a look into your proposal and that if it's good, he'll give you a contract." Jordan smiled, reassuring his wife. "Okay." Zoey nodded, still not feeling comfortable. "Or do you want a good luck kiss?" Jordan chuckled, moving closer to her. "No, don't touch me." Zoey giggled and ran out of the house. "By the way, I'll be going out to look for a job." Jordan smiled as he said, looking at Zoey, who was preparing to go. "How about you take some rest first? You just came back, and I don't think any company would be willing to employ you." Zoey said, worry written all over her face. "You don't have to worry about matters like that, it's insignificant." Jordan smiled. "Besides, it'll be enough if I could just land the role of a security guard, so it shouldn't be too hard." He added. Zoey looked at Jordan skeptically, but in the end, she had no other choice but to agree. He wasn't going to listen to her anyway, so she just hoped that he got the job. After all, he just used up his chance of bouncing back to help her. "I'll go first." She said and then turned around leaving the house. Jordan watched with a smile as she disappeared into this distance. After making sure that she was gone, he took out his phone and called Azure Dragon. In no time, a car pulled up in front of the house and Jordan hopped into the car. "Where are we going, sir?" Azure Dragon asked immediately Jordan got into the car. "Take me to Skyline Technologies, I want to go and see that old man." Jordan chuckled and then rested his head on the chair. "Should I call the old man and tell him we are coming?" Azure Dragon asked. "Nope, there's no need for that." Jordan shook his head. After all, he was just going there for his wife's sake and to tell David that he should give his wife a contract no matter what her proposal was. ------- "I'm honored to have sir at my place." David, an old man in his late sixties, bowed to Jordan as the latter sat on the chair. "You don't have to be so courteous; I only came to request a favor from you." Jordan laughed and crossed his legs while Azure Dragon stood by his side respectfully. Immediately, David breathed a sigh of relief hearing what Jordan said. But at the same time, he was still feeling uneasy. He didn't know what kind of request Jordan was about to make. What if it was one that he was not able to do? After all, Jordan was someone who had great powers, so it would be very dangerous to refuse him. He could destroy his family without needing to lift a hand, so he was very scared and didn't even know what to do next. He could only look at Jordan and hoped that what the latter was going to ask for was going to be mild. "Well, my wife would come to your company with a contract proposal." Jordan continued, afraid that he was going to give the other party a heart attack if he didn't say what he wanted. The other party was too much of a coward, so there was no need to keep him in the dark. Well, it was not his fault; after all, his reputation was not one that they could mess with. "You are to order your men to take a look at the contract and even if they are not to read it, they should pretend as though they read it and ask some questions before you do the needful," Jordan instructed. "Yes sir." David nodded almost immediately, at the same time sucking in a breath of cold air. After all, it was just a contract. Also, he was going to make sure to take in who the God of war's wife was. "How about your son?" Jordan chuckled as he stood up from where he was sitting. "He's out of the Country," David replied. He would be the happiest man in the world if his son could achieve even half of what Jordan had achieved. Others might not know, but he knew just how powerful Jordan was and the soldiers under him were just as powerful. "Don't make the contract too easy for her and don't make it too hard for her," Jordan added as he left the office with Azure Dragon. "Sir, where are we going now?" Azure Dragon asked, looking at Jordan. "I'll wait for a call from my wife; let's just go to a random restaurant and wait," Jordan replied after watching Zoey walk into Skyline Technologies. "Also, while we are at it, tell Phantom No.1 and Phantom No.5 to return to North Hampton. Also, ask them to come with two people who are in the Human Emperor realm.". Jordan was known as the God of war. But it was all just a name; he was far more powerful than a God of war; as to how powerful he was, no one knew about it. Azure Dragon by his side was also far more powerful than that, and Phantom No.1 and five, whom he had asked Azure Dragon to tell them to come to the God of War realm. The lowest realm was the Qi and Bone Realm, then it was followed by the Earth Realm, then the Human King Realm. In all of Jordan's five regiments that he created, the weakest was an Earth Realm warrior. All of his men were formidable, and even the higher-ups of the country had to take him seriously even though he was not going to attack the country. They wouldn't have been afraid if they had full control of the army, but they didn't. Jordan's five regiments contained over Five hundred men per regiment, and all of them listened to only him. The rest were not too loyal to Jordan. Though they knew that Jordan wouldn't start a revolution if he were to, there was no way about it, so they were very respectful of him. Besides, Jordan didn't seem to care so they knew they were all safe.

Does The Owen Family Know?
In a flash, three hours passed, Jordan and Azure Dragon were still where they were, no one saying anything to each other. Azure Dragon stood silently besides Jordan, watching every single thing in the surroundings, ready to attack anything that looked more like a threat. Jordan on the other hand sat on the bonnet of the car, staring into the distance. No one knew what he was thinking. His expression was blank and it didn't look like he was thinking about anything. He was just there, staring into the silence, not knowing what to do. He could still remember the content of the letter clearly. No matter how he tried, he couldn't find a hint to what he wanted. Who exactly were his parents? Just how strong were they to be able to look into his divination? Could it be that they had seen everything that was supposed to happen to him? A lot of thoughts ran through his mind at the moment and he didn't even know where to start. In a flash, another hour went by again. The silence rem
The Letter That Has Been Unread For Twenty-Seven Years
"Drive safely dear," Ava waved at Jordan who had gotten into the car. Azure Dragon nodded and started the car driving away almost immediately. Ava watched as the car disappeared from sight, shook her head and walked slowly back to the orphanage. She also has no idea who Jordan's parents were. At the same time, she had no idea what was inside the metallic box. Though it had been with her for a while twenty seven years, she had never tried to open it to know what was inside. Shaking her head, she could only hope Jordan was going to find the answers he wanted. Jordan and Azure Dragon on the other hand drove slowly along the highway. The silence in the car was a little bit heavy. No one was saying anything. "Remember to offer some financial aid to the orphanage when we get back," Jordan finally broke the silence, his voice a little bit hoarse. "Yes sir," Azure Dragon nodded, his eyes still on the road. He couldn't tell what his master was going through, so he just continued to dri
Flashback
Hearing Ava's words, Jordan's expression changed, but he still nodded slowly, his brows narrowing into a thin line. "But how did you know?" He asked after a long moment of silence. "Your mother told me," Ava responded, not hiding anything from Jordan who froze the moment he heard that. "My..my mother...?" Jordan stuttered, not believing his ears. "Yes your mother," Ava nodded, the smile on her face didn't fade even for a second. "It all happened on a stormy night," She recounted, her eyes showing a hint of reminiscing., "Back then, I had just been employed and it was my second night here at the Orphanage when I heard a knock on the door,"FLASHBACK (Twenty Seven Years Ago) Thunder crackled in the sky. The already downpour intensified, further darkening the already dark sky at the dead of the night. Everywhere was silent, and only the sound of the downpour could be heard. Inside the orphanage home, a woman in her early forties strolled around the rooms in the orphanage house,
Seeking Answers
Hearing the voice, Jordan froze in place, his body shuddered as he turned around slowly, the old voice still ringing like an alarm bell in his head.Though it had been more than a decade since he last heard the voice, he could recognize it well. There was no need to be told who it was. That was the woman who took care of him as a kid until the Garrison family came to adopt him. That voice, though now old, had definitely risen and looked after hundreds of children at the Orphanage.Turning around slowly, he came face to face with a woman in her late sixties, wrinkles all over her face and she looked older than she was supposed to.Well, this was due to the stress of taking care of the orphaned children over the years."Jordy?" The lady called again, just to be sure, her wrinkled face filled with shock as she stared at Jordan."Yes mother, it's me, Jordy," Jordan nodded, his eyes red at the moment, his body shaking as he stepped towards the lady."Jordy, it's really you...." The lady fi
The Orphanage
"Don't worry Zoey, I'll definitely give them a way out, I won't be too harsh on them, I'll just teach them a slight lesson," Jordan chuckled agreeing to Zoey's pleas."Thank you very much," Zoey instantly became excited and kissed Jordan's cheeks after which her face went red after realizing what she had done."I..I need to go do some work in my room, I won't be coming out for a while..." Zoey stuttered and hurried back to her room."Sister, you'd better do fast and give me either a healthy niece or nephew, I've waited for too long," Sarah who was also sitting on the sofa teased, watching as Zoey's face became redder while rushing into the room."Don't talk nonsense Sarah," Zoey scolded before her figure disappeared into the room.It was the next day already. The night before was a nightmare just as Zoey had expected, her classmates had looked down on Jordan.Though Jordan didn't really flare up as she had expected, he still did teach some quite a lesson, causing them to either lose
Please, Don't Get Annoyed
Just as the previous day went by so quickly, the next day came and also went by quickly. At the moment, Zoey was pacing around the small house, glancing at her watch every second."Jordan hurry up, we'll be late!" Zoey finally yelled as she couldn't take it any more."Sister, you should take it easy on brother-in-law, after all you didn't inform him of the reunion quickly, if it were not for your persistence, he wouldn't have agreed to go," Sarah who was sitting on the couch chuckled as she watched the TV.Zoey scoffed and rolled her eyes at Sarah. Today was her school reunion. She also didn't know about it until someone told her about it which in turn forced her to inform Jordan who was reluctant to go."Jordan!" Zoey yelled again as she got increasingly impatient. If they continued to stay back, they would be stuck in traffic and that would be bad.If only she knew how powerful Jordan was and that he could directly teleport them to the venue, maybe she wouldn't be this anxious."I'm
