"What are you both doing here?" Mark jeered, seeing Jordan and Zoey walk into the Villa.

"Did you give up so soon and want a divorce?" He continued in a mocking voice.

"That would be a good thing anyway, so just come and sign the papers I have already prepared it." He then proceeded to pull out some papers like he had known that Zoey was going to come.

"Sign here Zoey." Mark continued, his voice sounding rather enthusiastic as if he had just won a bet.

"Hurry up and sign it so that you will be able to get yourself free of this filth."

"Let me tell you, I've already asked around, there's no way any company would be willing to accept someone like him, he's nothing more than a rapist."

Zoey just glanced at Mark and didn't say anything. She was more afraid that Jordan wouldn't be able to stand it.

Glancing at Jordan, she saw that his expression was calm, and he didn't seem to have noticed Mark, who was spewing nonsense.

This made her sigh in relief. After getting to the company that morning, she was let in and then her contract proposal was given a chance.

Much to her shock, they were impressed with it and immediately gave her a contract.

But Zoey didn't sign her part and decided to sign it, promising to bring it back when she did sign it.

But they were kind enough and said that they were going to send a representative to come pick up the contract.

"Zoey, don't you dare think about changing your mind; this is the best time for you to sign the divorce papers.." Mark's voice sounded, pulling Zoey out of her thoughts.

"And who said I'm here to sign the divorce papers in the first place? "Zoey retorted, rolling her eyes at Mark.

"Then what have you come to do?" Make questioned, feeling rather shocked in his heart.

"Grandmother, I have secured the contract." Zoey ignored Mark and turned to Mabel, who was sitting on the couch watching the scene,e, and announced.

"Huh?" Everyone in the place froze hearing what Zoey said.

"What do you think you're saying?" Mark was the first to recover and immediately, he burst out into a rage.

"Do you think a contract with Skyline technology is something you can just secure in a day? Or do you think they would allow someone like you into their company?" He raged.

"Zoey, you shouldn't play expensive jokes like that. Do you think a contract is that easy to acquire?" Mabel also berated.

"You, of all people, should know how hard it is to secure a contract. Or did you think it would be nice to come play such an expensive joke here?" She continued.

"Fine, since you wouldn't believe it, here's the contract clause." Zoey fumed and threw the file she held in her hands on the table.

Instantly, Mark rushed forward and, with trembling hands, went through the files.

Mabel also got up and began to check out the contract Zoey had dropped on the table not believing their eyes.

At first, they wanted to blame her that it was fake, but after seeing the stamp of the company, they realized that it wasn't.

That stamp couldn't be replicated, and even if it could be replicated, it was going to cost a lot of money, and Zoey didn't have the money to do so.

After a while, Mabel and Mark finished going through the contract, then they raised their heads to look at Zoey.

"Now do you believe?" Zoey sneered, feeling rather satisfied.

"Mark, get a pen and sign the other half of the contract. We can't delay it any longer." Mabel ignored Zoey and turned to Mark.

"I have a pen here, mother." Mark grinned, his eyes filled with greed as he prepared to sign the contract.

"What do you think you're doing?" Zoey became alarmed and rushed forward wanting to stop Mark.

"Zoey, do you think you're fit to sign and handle the contract?" Mabel spat, stopping Zoey.

"You're married to a rapist. Haven't you had no shame?" She continued.

"This is someone who tried to sleep with your cousin and yet you want me to let you handle something as important as this."

Mabel paused for a while glancing at Zoey before she continued.

"What do you want people to say about our family when they find out? Or do you think Skyline Technologies would give you the contract if they knew about it?"

"Let me let you know. You don't have a thing to do with this contract, and it was gotten all because of sheer luck. Besides, you can't handle the contract, so it would be best if you just shut your mouth and let your Uncle take over it."

"But...."

"If you try to argue, then you are going to lose your job at the company, and I'll see how you'll survive with that Criminal you call a husband."

Zoey's eyes became red and were filled with tears. She wanted to say something, but she didn't dare.

The contract was something that Jordan used his favor which could have been a hundred times useful to him to get, and yet she had lost it in the blink of an eye.

She didn't know where to start and thus, she didn't dare to say a word.

"Don't think it's anything special that you were able to get the contract." Mark taunted with a satisfying smirk on his face.

"The contract is something that I can also acquire, besides, it's your blessings that I'm going to handle." He continued.

"Mother, we should have a banquet to celebrate the contract. Let all those families know that we have a connection with Skyline Technologies and they can't bully us any longer." Mark laughed and Mabel nodded her head in agreement.

"Jordan let's go." Zoey turned to Jordan and said while trying her best to hold back the tears, not daring to look at Jordan as she was sure that he must be very disappointed.

"Sure," Jordan muttered and turned around to leave, his voice calm.

Zoey felt a shiver down her spine and the tears she had been holding back fell freely. She was right; Jordan was disappointed in her; after all, the favor could have been more beneficial to him.

  • Does The Owen Family Know?

In a flash, three hours passed, Jordan and Azure Dragon were still where they were, no one saying anything to each other. Azure Dragon stood silently besides Jordan, watching every single thing in the surroundings, ready to attack anything that looked more like a threat. Jordan on the other hand sat on the bonnet of the car, staring into the distance. No one knew what he was thinking. His expression was blank and it didn't look like he was thinking about anything. He was just there, staring into the silence, not knowing what to do. He could still remember the content of the letter clearly. No matter how he tried, he couldn't find a hint to what he wanted. Who exactly were his parents? Just how strong were they to be able to look into his divination? Could it be that they had seen everything that was supposed to happen to him? A lot of thoughts ran through his mind at the moment and he didn't even know where to start. In a flash, another hour went by again. The silence rem

At the same time, she had no idea what was inside the metallic box. Though it had been with her for a while twenty seven years, she had never tried to open it to know what was inside. Shaking her head, she could only hope Jordan was going to find the answers he wanted. Jordan and Azure Dragon on the other hand drove slowly along the highway. The silence in the car was a little bit heavy. No one was saying anything. "Remember to offer some financial aid to the orphanage when we get back," Jordan finally broke the silence, his voice a little bit hoarse. "Yes sir," Azure Dragon nodded, his eyes still on the road. He couldn't tell what his master was going through, so he just continued to dri

Hearing Ava's words, Jordan's expression changed, but he still nodded slowly, his brows narrowing into a thin line. "But how did you know?" He asked after a long moment of silence. "Your mother told me," Ava responded, not hiding anything from Jordan who froze the moment he heard that. "My..my mother...?" Jordan stuttered, not believing his ears. "Yes your mother," Ava nodded, the smile on her face didn't fade even for a second. "It all happened on a stormy night," She recounted, her eyes showing a hint of reminiscing., "Back then, I had just been employed and it was my second night here at the Orphanage when I heard a knock on the door,"FLASHBACK (Twenty Seven Years Ago) Thunder crackled in the sky. • Seeking Answers

Hearing the voice, Jordan froze in place, his body shuddered as he turned around slowly, the old voice still ringing like an alarm bell in his head.Though it had been more than a decade since he last heard the voice, he could recognize it well. There was no need to be told who it was. That was the woman who took care of him as a kid until the Garrison family came to adopt him. That voice, though now old, had definitely risen and looked after hundreds of children at the Orphanage.Turning around slowly, he came face to face with a woman in her late sixties, wrinkles all over her face and she looked older than she was supposed to.Well, this was due to the stress of taking care of the orphaned children over the years."Jordy?" The lady called again, just to be sure, her wrinkled face filled with shock as she stared at Jordan."Yes mother, it's me, Jordy," Jordan nodded, his eyes red at the moment, his body shaking as he stepped towards the lady."Jordy, it's really you...." "Don't worry Zoey, I'll definitely give them a way out, I won't be too harsh on them, I'll just teach them a slight lesson," Jordan chuckled agreeing to Zoey's pleas."Thank you very much," Zoey instantly became excited and kissed Jordan's cheeks after which her face went red after realizing what she had done."I..I need to go do some work in my room, I won't be coming out for a while..." Zoey stuttered and hurried back to her room."Sister, you'd better do fast and give me either a healthy niece or nephew, I've waited for too long," Sarah who was also sitting on the sofa teased, watching as Zoey's face became redder while rushing into the room."Don't talk nonsense Sarah," Zoey scolded before her figure disappeared into the room.It was the next day already. Zoey finally yelled as she couldn't take it any more."Sister, you should take it easy on brother-in-law, after all you didn't inform him of the reunion quickly, if it were not for your persistence, he wouldn't have agreed to go," Sarah who was sitting on the couch chuckled as she watched the TV.Zoey scoffed and rolled her eyes at Sarah. Today was her school reunion. She also didn't know about it until someone told her about it which in turn forced her to inform Jordan who was reluctant to go."Jordan!" Zoey yelled again as she got increasingly impatient. If they continued to stay back, they would be stuck in traffic and that would be bad.If only she knew how powerful Jordan was and that he could directly teleport them to the venue, maybe she wouldn't be this anxious."I'm
