Drake's sword connected, and in a flash of light tore through the rocky neck of the monster! The head of the Stone Hooves was severed from it's body, and fell to the ground with a thud.

"It's dead!"

Drake exclaimed as soon as the head of the beast rolled down to the ground and came to a slow halt a few metres away. His palms were sweaty, and his back aching, but he still marched on!

He dashed towards the other monster and hacked at it's neck with his skill still active. Unlike before when he was unable to harm the Stone Hooves, he could finally slash them!

Soon, the two Stone Hooves were dead and their death earned Drake a total of 3000 XP! It was a large sum for such weak kills. It was only this easy because Aaron told him about their weakness.

If he had not known, killing the monsters would have been nothing short of a miracle. Not only were they as durable as the guard, they were also stronger than normal peasants.

The group began their advance, running into a few more gangs of monsters. Arthur led the way, using his opportunity to kill monsters before the others could steal it. Earning about 7000 XP!

He managed to reach Lv5, but still had a lot of work before he could awaken. If he manages to awaken, and unseal even one of his sealed skills, beating the boss without much casualties would be nothing more than a walk in the park.

Arthur dashed towards a Lionake and hacked it down with a single slash. As soon as it fell to the ground, he dashed towards another, decapitating without hesitation.

"This!" Drake frowned as he chased after Arthur, but although he was unable to gain a single kill, he was able to pick recuperate for his wounds. He planned to steal a few kills when he recovered.

Arthur who predicted this wasn't bothered, all he wanted was to gain more XP. Distractions could wait till he had awakened. As soon as the thought crossed his mind, he located another Lionake.

Before he could attack it, an arrow flew past his face, and struck it down. His eyes widened, then he grinned. He wasn't grinning out of pleasure or joy, but a crazed rage.

He didn't believe that Felicia would be so brave that she would fire an arrow at his target. He did not even expect her to draw an arrow at all! After regaining his composure, he drew in a breath and dashed towards a Lionake.

Felicia who had nocked another arrow in her bow, was stunned. His speed seemed to have tripled in her eyes, and she was unable to keep up with his movements. So she just aimed at the Lionake and fired without hesitation.

The arrow chased after Arthur, but he already had a running start and improved speed. All he did was throw his sword, and he impaled the poor Lionake - killing it in one hit.

Felicia didn't give up. She aimed at the nearest monster — a Lionake Hunter and unleashed her arrows upon it. The arrows, as fast as lightning, tore into the Lionake, killing it instantly.

Drake and the others were stunned. They never believed Felicia and Arthur would compete this strongly for XP! Felicia even used a skill just to beat Arthur to his kill.

Aaron who stood besides Felicia shrank back as Arthur's annoyed gaze fell on them. Despite this, Felicia still lifted her bow to fire another arrow at the next target. Before she could release it, Arthur rolled his eyes and dashed ahead again.

"No matter how fast you run, you can't possibly outrun my arrows." Felicia muttered to herself as she adjusted her pose to aim at the Stone Hooves just metres away from Arthur.

It was surrounded by two or three of it's kind, and was very durable. Despite this, Felicia still raised her bow to attack without hesitation. The monster gave a hefty amount of XP, it was sure to help her level up!

Arthur just sneered in his heart. He didn't know why Felicia was so desperate, but he wasn't going to relinquish his XP to her. Full speed? He was at his peak, but speed wasn't his trump card!

"You don't think — I've drew out any trump cards yet do you?" Arthur sheathed his sword, then he suddenly came to rough halt. Before anyone could react, he raised his hand then swings it.

Felicia didn't know what he was planning, but she seemed uncaring. She simply released her arrow without hesitation, breaking into a smile as the arrow travelled. She didn't need to steal more, all she needed was this one kill to level up.

Before she could celebrate, the dungeon lit up in a blue light, then an explosion of sound and air occured. Soon after the explosion, the group of Stone Hooves were replaced by dazzling azure flames.

"Hehe!" Arthur grinned like a madman, standing before the burning flames. Not even the bones of the monster's were left, that was the power of his almighty azure flames.

The azure flames amongst the top supernatural flames manipulated by dragons. Although it was not as powerful as void, eternal, heavenly or even hellish flames — it's abilities were otherworldly.

Felicia was stunned. It had taken all of them their might to destroy the last group of Stone Hooves!

She never believed that Arthur would be able to take out the group so easily. Her first shot wasn't even sure of scratching the monster's skin. All it was capable of doing was enrage the beast, and get Arthur to tire them out for her.

Everyone was stunned. Drake and Lilith looked even more shocked than the others were, their eyes widened and hands trembling. They all found it difficult to believe! It was impossible!

Arthur just smiled and watched the flames burn around him, his eyes gleaming in a demonic light, and his aura giving off an eerie vibe. He managed to earn a total of 6000 XP!

"Everyone, try to be as quiet as possible now. The closer we get to the boss, the more powerful and annoying monsters we find." Arthur warned the others after regaining composure.

Felicia just stared dumbly at his back. Her hands trembling slightly as she lowered her bow. As she was lost in thought, Aaron sneaked up to her and patted her on the shoulder.

"I know it's hard, but one day you'll realise. That it is not everyone you can compete with." Aaron shook his head, then walked away. His footsteps didn't even make a single sound as he walked.

After a while, Felicia shook her head. She had lost the opportunity now, but there should be more monsters ahead! Arthur shouldn't think that he would be able to put me down that easily!

"Heh!" Felicia scoffed, then latched her bow to the designated strap on her waist, before running after the others, prepared for another round of competition.

Mylos clung unto the walls of a tall building, gazing past the massive fence to view the plethora of houses before him. With his demonic vision, he was able to see objects metres away as if they were just an inch away from him. "Just a few hunters patrolling by that alley to the west. I should be able to avoid them if I'm careful. What I need now is a place to stay the night." Mylos spoke softly with his head bowed in thought, and brows knitted. In his bag, he had some “credits” which humans deemed useful for transactions. "I can also last some weeks more without any food, but I'll be forced to find a meal if I get too weak from these hunger pangs." Strapped to the side of waist was a sword still in it's sheath. Everytime the boy's feet landed on the ground, he would appear metres away in the distance like a phantom without even leaving an afterimage. It was as if he was using a strange version of teleportation. Chasing after him was a blue haired girl on a bike were a crop top and a short shirt. The dark grey blade of the claymore which was riddled with glowing green runes gave off an intimidating and dangerous vibe to whoever set their eyes on it. Mylos cut in after listening to all his father had to say, his brows still furrowed as he was still in deep thoughts, "I believe you know what I saw there."
