“Demon.”
He could hear it all: their whispers, low murmurs— gossip. They feared him despite his inability to control the powers granted to him from birth. It was primal — the fear of what one would never understand and this fear was a force, a power he used in manipulating their worthless lives like the mere puppets they were.
“Weak.”
“Pathetic.”
He was immortal; and as long as he lived, the fear they felt would never die out. He would keep feasting on their foolishness until he finally broke out of these material shackles. A force of chaos, nightmares they have been trying so hard to suppress and forget — that was what he was.
“Immoral Demon! By the power of the gods, we order you to surrender your life and to us! We have you cornered, and there is no escape for you!”
“Foolish demon, there is no where for you to run! Beg like the worm you are and shed all the tears you want, but we shall not spare your life today!”
Mylos stared at the gathering of fools before him in a calm silence; he was going to make them beg for their lives, just like their worthless gods.
