                                                                 Fonare

He could sense the energies moving throughout his body. They were soft and nice. He felt two tiny hands over his head. Whenever these hands touched him, he felt the sudden decreasing of pain. It was like diving into a beautiful water. Soft, warm, kind and it definitely had a merciful approach.

And there was that song. Only the murmuring but it was beautiful and sad at the same time.

I wasn't ready

That one day

You'd be gone forever

In a moment of eternity

It was so familiar. A beautiful female vocal touched his being. In fact, he felt like he was in a moment of eternity. Maybe he was dead after all. Because the last thing he remembered was that he was in the boat and the cliffs were getting closer. Or he was. Then it was dark and cold and wet. Then he lost his entire fighting energy and let the waters take him to the deep of the planet. His soul would ascend from this painful existence and maybe then, when it was all motionless, he would find peace.

But now, at this very moment of his understanding, he could be anywhere in existence. Maybe life after Liumira was something like that. How one could be sure? Who has seen beyond of their physical reality?

The song kept going and it was getting even sadder with every lyrics. His soul burned with love and sorrow. And this was confusing.

Ivole was a soldier. A programable killing machine. But something was wrong with him all along. From his childhood to his youth and the first steps of his adult version, he was different. A part of his character was built on freedom and rebellion. A part of his soul was with mercy. He was trained to be a killer, and yet he never killed anything. It was all wrong. But eventually, these thoughts caught him. A place like Zuana, among people like Zuanal, there wasn’t much of a chance anyway. This way was going to come. Sooner or later.

Yet, it was too early. Even Ivole had no idea that he would die so much early. But life was like that. You couldn’t understand it. You simply would go through and if you had enough time to think, you might just understand.

Oh.

He thought.

I don’t understand.

“Oeta, my dear, how is he holding?” asked an old woman with a merciful voice. She was old. He knew it. Her voice could tell this. It touched Ivole's soul in a deep level. He felt like crying. But it was maybe because of his vulnerable energies. He exposed to much damage in the last two days. But one thing for sure, he wasn’t dead. This somehow relieved his pain and worries and that moment he felt even better.

“He will be okay.” Said a little girl. “He is confused but glad.”

In his reality of thoughts, Ivole experienced something pure, something that fed his soul. He thought about it, too. Thinking. This was his thing. Thinking too much. Overthinking. Thinking about everything.

“Let me know when he is ready to talk, my sweet girl.” Said the old woman again. “I need to check Velia. Leati is already late. He probably won’t come until the storm passes.”

“Okay ma’am.” Said the little girl and kept healing Ivole. A new song started.

Millions of years later

One day there was a blue air

For the first time in history

All over a world

Rising sun with joy

The song kept going and going and got even better with every passing moment.

Where was he?

Everything here was music, everything was kind. Every voice, every touch, every word. He had no idea that a place actually existed. But then suddenly, out of nowhere, it hit him. Like a soft breeze in a beautiful spring morning. Like the first beams of the sun. A warm kiss. A breath of the loved one.

Fonare?

Because that old lady talked about the storm. There was only one place that was going to or already going through the storm.

This couldn’t be possible because the sea, Seleneya, between Zuana and Fonare was wide. It would take at least a week for Ivole to take that useless boat to get there. And it wasn’t possible at all.

“You can now open your eyes,” said the little girl after a while. “You are now healed.”

He opened his eyes. There was a little girl looking at him. A blue lighted or blue glowing eyed girl. Yellow-white kind hairs over her tiny head, a pure, white skin… The light in her eyes were a beautiful blue. Almost turquoise. Her hair had a glowing white or light-yellow color. It was like a motion in the water. Independent from the gravity that this planet had. And she smiled like a morning flower. A sweet little girl. His savior. His healer. That one kind soul met his own core during his healing sessions.

“Hi,” said Ivole.

“Hi,” said the little girl. “I am Oeta.”

“I am Ivole.”

“I know.”

“How?”

“When I healed you, I saw what you have done in your entire life. I watched you all along.”

“You did what?”

“Are you mad at me?” The little girl asked with curiosity, but a guilty voice flew over his little body.

“I… I… I don’t know. Why did you do that?”

“I needed to heal you. Otherwise you would be dead by now.”

“Well. Thank you for saving my life.”

“It seemed to be a sad life though.”

“You wouldn’t tell.”

Ivole smiled but also felt sad about himself. His life was really sad. His past, the experiences he went through weren’t something once could want. He suddenly felt useless and powerless. This little girl had such a power over him.

“What do you mean?” asked Oeta in curiosity.

“I mean, nice to meet you Oeta. Where am I?”

“You are in Coreda.”

“You mean I am in Fonare?”

“Yes, you genius!” She laughed in a high volume. Even her laugh had a healing power.  This was mesmerizing. “Coreda is a city in Fonare. There are about 650.000 people in it. Well. With you, we have now one more.

“How can it be possible that I am here?”

“You don’t remember?”

“No.”

“You went on a boat, running from the soldiers because they wanted to kill you. And you passed out. And a light in the sky opened a portal. I still don’t know how she was. But you met her. You don’t remember but she sent you here through her portal. And your boat crushed the cliffs. Velia watched you and told us about you before your accident appear. She knew you wouldn’t survive. And Maypidi sent someone for you and they brought you here, to this shelter.”

“What is going on outside?”

“It is the storm. And it is so scary. They say the sky is raining fire. Velia told us that there are bombs in the air coming down.”

“Bombs?” said Ivole experiencing a terrible tremble.

Did Zuana do that?

They were building airships to bomb Fonare. But did they have other plans as well? Like putting bombs in the air and letting the storm carry them? It definitely sounded like Zuana.

“You need to talk with Maypidi.” Said Oeta looking at him in empathy.

“I am ready.” He said. But he wasn’t. It seemed someone opened a portal and saved him from his dead. But who knew he was there? Of course, that Velia Oeta talked about saw him but who saved him from Zuana’s shores from such a long distance?
