Dressed in the first of the new clothes he got the day before, Damien looked up the trellised road carved from the edge of the Macmillian’s property to their home, the mansion stood majestically on a high rise as if lording it over those around it.

Many believed that the only advantage that The Macmillns could say they have when compared to the Benthalls was their ancestral home that had been built when the first Macmillan rumoured to be a postman had gotten the land then from the will of his deceased wife of few months.

The wife was a child of a wealthy merchant who willed the land and other properties to his only child before his death. The girl was sickly as well by the time she married the postman she had not even been able to leave their house for any activity.
