In the White Swan Sect, it was precisely in the territory where the outer disciples of the sect were located.
Ugar's fists slammed into the rock with a fury that echoed through the White Swan sect's training grounds. Each impact sent a jolt of pain up his arms, but he gritted his teeth and pushed through it. He couldn't afford to be weak, not after what had happened with the Eye Collecting Demon.
As he pounded away at the rock, memories of that fateful night flooded his mind. The demon had appeared out of nowhere, its grotesque form towering over him. Ugar had fought with all his might, but it was no use. He had been helpless against the demon's power.
Ugar's breath came in ragged gasps as he continued to attack the rock, his fists moving in a blur. But no matter how hard he hit, the rock only cracked, never shattered. Frustration welled up inside him, mingling with the rage that still burned in his chest.
Suddenly, a voice broke through his thoughts. "Ugar, what are you doing?"
Ugar turned to see Garrick, the Blue team leader for the outer students, standing behind him. Garrick was a tall, imposing figure with a stern expression that seemed permanently etched onto his face.
"I'm training," Ugar replied through gritted teeth, turning back to the rock.
"You're wasting your energy," Garrick said. "There are more important things you could be doing."
Ugar paused, his fists hovering in mid-air. "Like what?"
"There are rumors of an Hell Disk artefact that has been causing trouble in the nearby villages," Garrick said. "I need someone to investigate and find out more information."
Ugar's interest was piqued. Ugar has a good soul at heart, he is a stickler for truth and goodness. But Ugar would never have thought that it was his greatest weakness that he could be taken advantage of.
Garrick's lips curled into a small smile. "If you manage to get information about this Hell Disk, I'll make sure you're rewarded."
Ugar nodded, determination flashing in his eyes. He would do whatever it took to become stronger and protect those he cared about.
Garrick handed Ugar a small pill. "Take this. It will increase the amount of Qi in your body."
Ugar swallowed the pill and resumed his attacks on the rock. This time, when his fist connected, the rock shattered into pieces. Garrick nodded in approval.
"You're ready," he said. "Prepare yourself and head to the nearest village to start your investigation."
Ugar nodded, excitement coursing through his veins. He quickly gathered his things and began to make his way towards the village, jumping effortlessly from tree branch to tree branch. He was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.
As he disappeared into the forest, Garrick watched him go, a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Ugar, you are a lucky man," Garrick said, his face twisting into a cynical sneer. It was as if the evil side of Garrick was barely concealed beneath the surface. "I'm sure that your luck will enable me to find the Hell Disk."
Garrick then stepped back, his eyes glinting with anticipation. He was simply biding his time, waiting for the information he needed to obtain the Hell Disk. With it, he could become an inner disciple in the White Swan sect.
Ugar jumping from tree to tree towards the nearest village, ready to start his investigation and find information about the Hell Disk.
Ugar leaped over bushes and dodged trees as he made his way deeper into the forest. After what felt like hours of travel, he finally stumbled upon a well-trodden path. He followed it, hoping it would lead him to the nearest village.
As he approached, he saw villagers going about their daily tasks. Some were pulling cows, while others were carrying large bundles of grass.
Ugar continued to walk along the path, his senses on high alert. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched, but every time he looked around, he saw nothing out of the ordinary.
As he approached a small clearing, he saw a group of villagers gathered around a cart, chatting and laughing. He decided to approach them and ask if they had any information about the infernal disk.
"Excuse me," he said, stepping forward. "I'm looking for information about a noisy cultivator in the area. Have any of you heard anything?"
The villagers looked at each other, confused. "No, we haven't heard of any cultivators causing trouble around here," one of them replied.
Ugar nodded, thanking them for their time. As he turned to leave, he heard a rustling in the trees above him. He looked up just in time to see a glowing eye peering down at him from the top of a tree branch.
His heart skipped a beat as he realized that he was being spied on. Without thinking, he leaped towards the tree, his fists ready to strike.
"Who's there?" he shouted, scanning the branches. "Show yourself!"
But the eye was gone, vanished into thin air. Ugar searched the area, but there was no sign of the mysterious watcher.
He realized that he had been careless, and that his inquiries may have attracted unwanted attention. He would have to be more careful from now on.
As he made his way back to the path, he heard footsteps behind him. He spun around, his fists raised, ready to defend himself.
But it was only a young girl, no older than ten. She looked at him with wide, frightened eyes.
"Please, mister," she said, her voice trembling. "Don't hurt me."
Ugar lowered his fists, feeling a pang of guilt. "I'm sorry," he said. "I didn't mean to scare you. What's your name?"
"Lila," the girl replied. "Are you looking for the noisy cultivator, too?"
Ugar nodded. "Do you know anything about cultivator?"
Lila looked around nervously before leaning in close. "I heard my parents talking about cultivator," she whispered. "They said they're been causing trouble in the nearby villages, stealing crops and livestock."
Ugar's eyes widened. "Did they say anything else?"
Lila shook her head. "That's all I know. Please don't tell anyone I told you, okay?"
Lucas was taken aback by the little girl's intelligence. She articulated herself clearly and was surprisingly easy to understand for someone her age. However, something about the village didn't sit right with Ugar. His instincts told him that there was something strange, almost otherworldly, about the place.
The little girl said that she knew a place where her father said the mysterious cultivator had appeared.
Ugar could barely keep up with the little girl as they darted through the dense forest. His mind was racing with thoughts of Lili, the young girl who had led him into this mess. He should have known better than to trust a stranger.
As they ran, Ugar could hear the sound of fighting up ahead. His heart sank as he realized that Lili must have led him into a trap. He cursed himself for being so foolish, but there was no time to dwell on his mistakes. He had to find a way to save Lucas and himself from whatever danger lay ahead.
Ugar had already guessed, he was set up by the little girl and it seemed that this village was indeed in someone's control at the moment.
Suddenly, the girl skidded to a halt. Ugar nearly collided with them before he realized what was happening. In front of them was a clearing, and in the center of the clearing stood a figure that made Ugar's blood run cold.
It was the Eye Collecting Demon, a man who had once fought with Ugar and nearly killed him. Ugar could still remember the feeling of his blade slicing through flesh and the sound of the demon's laughter as he toyed with him.
But that was days ago, and Ugar was not the same man he had been then.
Ugar had gotten the Qi pill from Garrick, and somehow Ugar felt that he could defeat the Eye Collecting Demon now.
As Ugar stepped forward, the Eye Collecting Demon sneered at him. "I see you've found your way here, Ugar. I must admit, I'm impressed. Not many have survived an encounter with me."
"Only a fool would believe information from a mere child," scoffed the Eye-Collecting Demon.
Ugar glanced around the area where little Lili the little girl had been standing just moments before, but she was nowhere to be found. It was as if she had vanished into thin air. Suddenly, everything made sense. How could he have been so naive? The little girl had run faster than anyone he had ever seen, and it was clear now that she was not what she seemed. Ugar couldn't help but feel foolish for not realizing it sooner.
Ugar said nothing, his eyes fixed on the demon's face.
Ugar remembered how the man in front of him had already massacred a village and Ugar was lucky to be spared that time.
Suddenly, the demon lunged at Ugar, his claws extended. Ugar dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack. He could hear the agdis squeaking in fear behind him, but he didn't have time to worry about them.
The fight was intense, with Ugar and the demon exchanging blows in a flurry of movement. Ugar could feel his muscles straining as he tried to keep up with the demon's lightning-fast attacks.
But the demon was too strong, and Ugar could feel himself growing weaker by the moment. He knew that he couldn't keep this up for much longer.
Just as he was about to collapse, Ugar saw a flash of movement out of the corner of his eye. It was Lucas, the girl who had led him into this mess. She was running towards them, a look of determination on her face.
Ugar didn't know what she was planning, but he knew that he had to buy her some time. He gritted his teeth and launched himself at the demon, using every ounce of strength he had left.
The demon was caught off guard by the sudden attack, and Ugar was able to land a solid blow to his chest. The demon stumbled back, giving Ugar the chance to catch his breath.
But the reprieve was short-lived. The demon recovered quickly and launched a counterattack, sending Ugar flying through the air. He landed hard on the ground, his body aching from the impact.
As he struggled to get up, Ugar saw the demon advancing on him. He knew that he had to do something, but his body refused to cooperate. He could only watch in horror as the demon raised his claws, ready to strike.
But then, something unexpected happened. Ugar reached into his pocket and pulled out a small object. It was a talisman.
As Ugar held up the talisman, a bright light enveloped him. The demon hesitated, unsure of what was happening.
And then, with a roar, Ugar launched himself at the demon, using the last of his strength to tackle him to the ground. The demon cried out in surprise, and Ugar could feel his grip loosening.
With one final effort, Ugar threw the demon off of him and staggered to his feet. He was battered and bruised, but he was still standing.
The demon snarled at him, his one good eye blazing with fury. "This isn't over,. I will destroy the White Swan sect, and there's nothing you can do to stop me."
"And you, I already gave you one chance to live but you challenged me again. So from this moment on, you will be one of the pawns in my grand plan!" said the Eye Collecting Demon.
Ugar said nothing, his eyes fixed on the demon's face.
And as the demon disappeared into the shadows, and the situation there turned even more intense. Ugar knew that the Eye Collecting Demon was using that crazy stealth technique.
