Lyra's eyes widened after hearing Dori's words.

"$100,000?" Lyra repeated the amount Dori had said.

The man nodded without hesitation. "Yes, you have to pay. Or I can take this to the police."

"I'm absolutely certain you intentionally wanted to harm my wife and unborn child. This is a crime. You could be in prison for years." Dori continued to press Lyra.

This was completely unreasonable. $100,000 wasn't a small amount of money.

It wasn't like Lyra didn't have the money, but giving her $100,000 without doing anything wrong was certainly something Lyra didn't want to do.
