"Jesus Christ! Noah you're going to be late for class and I'll be late for work, you better get your ass down here right now! if you don't want your ass wiped" I yelled after 30 minutes of getting done and my brother was still not ready.

I mean I'm the lady here. I'm supposed to be the one taking two hours to get dressed.After about another twenty five minutes of waiting he finally came downstairs looking like a runaway model.

" If you stop yelling at every little thing someday I'm sure you'll get yourself a boyfriend" he said while looking at himself In the mirror for the upteenth time.

" Seriously Noah! c'mon! you're late for school and you know that!I'm sure you're going to get me sacked one day" I rolled my eyes at him after pulling him out of our apartment forcefully.

" You know I'm a pretty boy,the school popular boy .I should always look pretty and handsome and also maintain my public figure," he said with a smirk on his face.

"oh?!, a pretty boy who is a simp for Moana cartoons and chocolate foods? pretty boy my ass" I teased while laughing at him and he looked at me with a shocked face.

"Avaaa...c'mon I told you not to say that in public ...if any of my classmates hears that !; it's certainly going to be your fault!" he said while glaring at me over and over.

" just get in the fucking car and let me drop you off at school before I use a slap to wipe off that glare from your face" I said to him and he stuck his tongue out at me and well I did mine also.

" Ughh you're an annoying older sister" he said while going through my purse to take money he didn't own .He always does that.

"Oh? I thought you forgot about me being your older sister,and why are you going through my purse? You lost something in there? " I intentionally asked him.

" You knew I was going to take some money right? That's why there isn't any in your purse right now"he glares at me .

" You want money and you're still glaring?" I asked jokingly.

" Oh ! C'monnn sis ...uhn please? I need it for the new video game ..I want to get it after school.. please? Uhnn" he pleaded with puppy eyes he knew gets me everytime.

" Jeezzzz, how can I reject this pretty boy .. I'll wire it to you ,don't worry.just text me the amount" I said and before I could finish talking I was envolved in a big hug.

" That's why I love you ... Don't worry when I'm out of highschool..and college I'll work hard and get rich ..so I will take care of you forever.. I will buy you whatever you want" he promised.

" Yeah.. yeah..get off now I'm already late for work," I said while kissing him goodbye... I did it without his colleagues seeing of course.don't want them thinking I'm his girlfriend or something. and he noticed that because he pushed me away before I gave him another kiss.

I dropped him off at school and watched him walk away and before three seconds girls were already swarming over him. I smiled and started my car and drove to work.

I and Noah have gone through a lot since the day we were born.even when our dad died of cancer when I was 10 and Noah was 5, we were so sad, but our mom got through for us and in the next five years our mom died also,it was so devastating for us that for a year .. we were not eating and taking care of ourselves properly but now we are absolutely happy.

I clocked 24 about two weeks ago and Noah will also be 18 in a few weeks... ever since we lost both of our parents we became more matmaturedher secrets place ..we became each other Bestfriends and we tell each other everything and I'm sure our parents will be happy with the life we are living right now.

I am not the type of a girl that's weak or desperate and also not some damsel in distress that needs taking care of ..I've got a few crazinesses in me.. and I am that type of person that if someone walks up to me right now and tell me he or she is a vampire, I'll make sure the person got admitted in a psycho center cos that shit is not real and it's not even rated.

and I have a black belt in taekwondo. I am so proud of myself .and also my bestie Elena has a black belt in taekwondo..we met at the taekwondo game center a few years back ever since then we became inseparable, but she ..she was a rich spoilt brat ..and apart from that she acts like a mom sometimes ..she makes Sure I eat on time and everything...and she spoils Noah with lots of video gaming toys and stuffs even when I told her to stop doing it ..she still did it. I'm thankful to her ..but I can take care of Noah ..he is my brother, he is my responsibility.

I got to work only to get reprimanded by Manager LI, he gave me a full prep class about me getting late every time.. all I kept saying was "I'm sorry sir " after an hour of a lecture he freed me.

#later that day ...at work#

* Phone Rings*

I picked up my phone and saw it was Elena calling. I smiled and picked up hastily .. then placed the phone on my desk.

Something better to say or I'm cussing your ass" I said while typing away on my keyboard.

"Oh! c'mon, what I have is more than. better....anyway, where are you? I called Noah already and he said you're at work but I doubt that because I think you'd already be sacked". I sigh as I listen to her ramble off.

"I am at work silly, I came late today and manager LI almost bit my head off,so he gave me extra work to punish me.And why are you calling my brother before me?you know he is at school" i answered

"Noah got you late again?damn. I thought he would have gotten you sacked already, and why can't I call your brother?Mind your business!

"ugh...I love my job and I was hoping to get promoted this year! But you guys aren't making things better!" I whispered not wanting my colleagues to have a grab of what I am talking about.

"You can't blame Noah, you know that right?"

" ugh yes I know..... But can you please talk to him? I know he kind of listens to you" I pleaded with her.

"Oh okay baby I will, but I have some better news for you that's surely gonna lift your mood" she said in a singing voice.

"really?? what the fuck is it?" I asked excitedly.

"we are going to a Ball party tonighttttt"she said and I heard her screeching at the end.

"Oh my! god! That is So cool, like there are still ball parties going on? I thought it was like old stuff.But anyway I am so down for the party, what time are we meeting?" I asked her and made a little dance where I was because I was too excited.

" I knew you'd love it! just come to my place after work okay?? I've gotten your dress ready! cos you're certainly wearing what I picked"

"Elena! C'mon! I always get scared when you pick my clothes ,you always pick the whored ones" I complained.

"oh bitch , don't give me that, you're gonna love the dress, trust me" she said giggling.

"ugh fine if you say so... I'll see you later girlfriend" I bidded.

"Okay boo boo .... see you" she replied and I heard the other end beep and the phone call was off.

I got off the phone with Elena and then called Noah immediately to inform him I was not coming home for the night So he could stay at his Bestfriend's place and he happily agreed.I'm sure he was happy because he was going to stay up playing video games all night.

" Aveline if you're going to be on the phone all day long and not do your job. you might not leave this office today. we have a lot of analysis to do and you know that" Manager LI said while passing through my desk and saw me making phone calls.

" I'm sorry Mr,LI I'll get it done soon," I told him with a smile and he replied with a nod.

I was so exhausted when I left work but the only thought that kept me going was the fact that I was going to a Ball tonight and I still can't believe it.

I got out of the company building to bid my colleagues a warm goodbye then lazily drove to Elena's place which was thirty minutes from my place of work.

I got to her place and pressed her door code which I've known since the first time we met. I entered and I saw her pouring herself some wine.

" Pour one for me too. I need it. Manager LI wants to kill me" I said while trying to get her to pity me ..but she just looked at me like I deserved it.

" Well? I wasn't the one who asked you to always get to work late?! '' She said while pouring herself another glass.

I rolled my eyes at her and sloppily dragged myself towards her expensive sofa.

" I just can't get tired of coming to your place" I mumbled

" You're not trying to sleep, are you? We have to get ready for the party" she said to me.

" Fuck" I swore and got up from the sofa immediately.

"C'mon let's go get dressed and turn heads at the party.and maybe we can get laid. I am so in the mood for a one-night stand " she said giggling.

" You're such a whore Lena,a whore" I said to her and she laughed.

" Oh, you want to play innocent now?? Because I haven't talked about your senior from work you fucked about a week ago?" She said and I gasped.

" Geez ...Elena. I am not telling you about who I'm fucking or not anymore" I said and she glares at me.

"Let's just get dressed ..and go get drunk whooo!" She said and we both laughed.
