Christopher, Zander, and Aaron walked into a luxury car dealership.

Seeing the rows of luxury cars around, Zander and Aaron were stupefied.

“Holy shit! How much do these cost!?” Zander asked in surprise.

“At least two hundred thousand dollars, each.” Aaron replied.

Zander and Aaron, like kids who had come to a toy store for the first time, couldn't hide their shock as they kept surveying car after car, letting out sounds like “Woah!” and “Oh my God!”

The sales girls couldn't help but look down on them, especially seeing the way they were dressed. One of them couldn't handle it anymore and walked up towards Christopher's group. “Hey! Don't touch this car. We're on break, if you want to look at cars, wait till after 2PM.”

Sending the disgust in her tone, Christopher didn't back down, “I want to see it right now.”

“Then look, but no touching, and no test drives.” She said, turned around and walked back towards the other sales girls.

“Another wannabe rich guy. Look at those guys. They're looking around everywhere. You can tell they've never been in a place like this.”

“True, just don't let them get the display cars dirty. So we don't have to clean up.”

Hearing their comments, Zander boldly walked up to them, “Hey! What are you talking about!?”

The two sales girls turned to him in shock. They hadn't sense him approaching them earlier. But then, the one who had actually approached them earlier raised her chin up, “None of your business. I know none of you can afford a car, but I can't say anything about it?”

“Exactly, if you can't afford it, go do a few more cleaning jobs or whatever it is you do.” the second girl chimed in. At this, they two gave a light chuckle.

Zander was about to lash out, but Christopher placed a hand on his shoulder and shook his head.

“There's no use arguing with fools who can't even afford it themselves even if they sold themselves several times over.” Christopher said in a low but firm voice. “Come, let's go look at the cars and select the ones that suits us most.”

At this moment, a young sales girl rushed over. “Excuse me Sirs, how can I help you?” she then turned towards the car and pointed them out one by one, “We have a Cayenne, Panamera nine-ten. Feel free to take a look.”

After browsing for a few minutes, Christopher approached a black Porsche Panamera, “I like this one.”

The salesgirl smiled, “Sir, if you like it, you can give it a try.

Seeing how the salesgirl was treating Christopher, the other girls began muttering to each other, “Newbies will be Newbies. She always likes playing the Saint. This bunch looks totally broke and tacky, everyone can see they can't even afford a taxi home right now, let alone buy a luxury car.”

“When those guys slink away in a bit, we'll see how she can raise her high.”

Christopher didn't pay heed to their words. He simply took out his card, “I like it, so I'll take it. Full payment.”

The salesgirl was shocked, “Sir, are you sure? This car cost over four hundred thousand dollars in total. Are you sure?”

Christopher simply waved his hand to silence her, “Swipe the card.”

His words silenced the other girls, and one of them even stuttered, but couldn't form a full sentence.

The salesgirl swiped the card with a POS, and the payment went through.

«Ding!

Christopher almost had an internal heart attack. ‘Grox Autos!!?? The biggest automobile company worldwide.. and I just got 0.9% shares!? Hahahahahahahaha!’

Meanwhile the other girls were stunned silent, one of them even accidentally dropped the coffee she was drinking. Christopher didn't even spare them a glance.

“At this rate, I won't be surprised by how much Christopher has anymore.” Zander said and placed a hand on his forehead.

“Get two more cars. My friends will have one each. Wash the cars and let's settle the paperwork, I'll be driving out my car today as I need to be somewhere tonight.” Christopher said and placed the card back into his pocket.

“Yes sir, please follow me to the lounge while everything is being handled.

That evening, right at an exquisitely luxury hotel, the Oakville Grand Hotel. Helene walks into the luxurious building with her arm hooked around Robins'.

“Robins, this place is even fancier than I thought. That greeter at the door just now, was the vice president of the Oakville chamber of commerce, right?” Helene said.

“Of course, the Thornes have been part of the Oakville business group for twenty years. This kind of event, getting an invitation is a piece of cake for us, and especially for me, since not only am I the heir of the Thorne family, but I am also an established entrepreneur.” Robins said casually as if it didn't matter to him, but inside he was brimming with arrogance.

“I already sent a letter to the vice president of Pamela Pharmaceutical, and he's promised me that the fifty million dollar investment is as good as yours.”

At that moment, Victoria walked up to them, “Helene my dear daughter, you really picked the right man this time. Robins is a capable guy.”

Mr Sebastian walked over as well, looking dignified, “The Thornes connections in Oakville are nothing like some random nobody who only knows how to cook and serve.”

Meanwhile, the moment Christopher's car pulled up in front of the hotel, he stepped out. He walked past the security, right into the lobby, but unfortunately.. he came face to face with Helene, her parents, and of course, Robinson Thorne.

“Christopher! What are you doing here!?” Helene said aloud, surprise written all over her face.

“What?” Victoria called out in surprise, but she quickly reeled it in, she then walked towards Christopher.. due to the fact he had gotten the invite late and practically rushed here from the dealership, Christopher didn't get the chance to buy new clothes. Seeing him in the same clothes he wore when he left the house after signing the divorce paper, Victoria couldn't help but cringe, “Wow, look at you, all scruffy..” she took a step back in feigned disgust, “You just got divorced, and now you're leeching off Helene's fame?”

“Dressed like that, you dare show up here, you're just making a total fool of yourself.” Mr Sebastian said with an air of arrogance.

Christopher didn't utter a single word as he couldn't be bothered with them, with all the things happening to him recently, he felt this family was now beneath him as he'll soon rise above them.

“Chris, are you following me?” Helene said as she stepped forward towards Christopher, “I just mentioned the business banquet at Michelin, and you just tagged along?” She placed her hands on her hips in annoyance, “Do you even know what kind of event this is? It's the Oakville business banquet, hosted by Pamela Pharmaceutical. Everyone here is a millionaire entrepreneur.. and you even have the nerve to come!?” She was genuinely annoyed at Christopher at that moment, believing he couldn't give up on her and decided to tail her to the event.

“Helene, why waste your breath on him.” Robins chipped in, he wrapped his hand around Helene's waist, “Look at what he's wearing, must be from the flea market.. now I know why the Michelin stank as we ate, it seemed the smell was coming from him.” he sighed with feigned pity, “I wonder what the hotel security guard was thinking letting him in.”

“You said it..” Victoria jumped in, “Helene, now that I think about it, how could you have ever fallen for someone like him?.”

“You're right Mother, I must have been blind to fall for him.”

At this, Christopher's expressionless face cracked and a smile played on his lips, “Blind? Helene.. our five years together, and you ended it with just ‘I was blind’?”

“Enough already..” Helene said as she played with her hair, “Chris, even if you follow me around devotedly, I'm not changing my mind. Just leave, you don't even have an invitation.”

“Let's skip all this drama, I'll call in security to take him away.” Robins said with indifference as he waved to the security guards nearby.

“Take this beggar out of here. He's trying to sneak in without an invitation.” he ordered as soon as they came.

“Who said I don't have an invitation?” Christopher said and brought out a gold invitation card from his pocket.

“Oh my good sir,” the security guards became subservient as soon as they saw the gold card in Christopher's hand.

“I'm glad you recognize it.” Christopher said nonchalantly.

“Of course sir, this is the highest level invitation from Pamela Pharmaceutical.. only three were issued out. I didn't know you were one of the VVIP, sir.” the security guard bowed again and again as he spoke.

This statement created a silent atmosphere that one could hear a pin drop.

*Ding! Dong!*This was the second time Christopher had pressed the doorbell. He had gotten the address from the hotel he was staying. And now, he's here to meet Carl's wife face to face.“Coming!” A female voice sounded from inside the apartment. Few seconds later, the door clicked open, and a young pregnant lady stood at the door. She had puffy eyes, which was evidence of intense crying.-sniff- “I'm sorry, who are you?”Christopher took in her appearance, steeling his mind, he decided to lay it all down. “Hello Mrs Henderson. I'm Christopher Bond. I was your husband's…” he took a deep breath, “My condolences. Your husband was assigned as my driver, and I was with him when it all happened. I'm sorry.”For almost thirty seconds, no one spoke, and then, she did the only logical thing Christopher knew any woman would've done in that situation.. she slammed the door in his face.-sigh- “I had an idea it won't be easy.” Christopher muttered to himself before pressing the doorbell button a

“Hahahahahahaha!” Ethan burst into laughter. He pointed at Christopher while laughing, “Holy Shit!! This has got to be the most fucked up shit I've seen all week! Hahahahaha!”“For a second there I almost believed he had the money to back up his claim given his confidence.” Someone chimed.“I already knew he was all bark and no bite!” Another said. The flirty salesgirl, Susan turned to Eliza who was still standing behind Christopher, and with a smug smile on her face, “Do you regret it now Eliza? Choosing to give this broke loser face instead of Young Master Ethan?.”Meanwhile Christopher is confused as he could not understand why the transaction failed, he knew very well the amount in his account, which should be enough to buy both villas, and he'd even still have enough for any miscellaneous spending if he so wish.“Check your POS machine.” Christopher said.“What? It's broken?” Ethan said with feigned surprise, “Really? I had no idea.” He sighed and shook his head with feigned pity

[TRION CITY AIRPORT. TRION CITY].Robins stepped out of the plane with ten burly men in black suits walking behind him.‘I wonder why the system didn't give me a reward for killing that pauper. I always get rewards for eliminating rivals and opponents.’ Robins thought to himself. ‘Perharps my system is still processing my reward.’ he thought to himself with a smug expression, ‘He’ a fellow system user, I wonder how huge my reward this action will be.. oh I can’t wait!.’ He kept mulling over the matter in his mind as they arrived outside the airport building, and there a beautiful lady was waiting. It was Helene Sebastian.“Robins darling, you're back.” Helene said in a coy tone.Robins forced out a smile, “Yes love, did you miss me?”“You bet I do, I really missed you a lot.” She said and walked up to him, kissing him on the lips. “Come, let's go home, I want to show you new skills I've learnt while you were away.” She said and led him to the limo beside them. • CHAPTER 10: ROBINS' PLOT

Christopher's mind swirled around his earlier verbal confrontation with Robins. Surely this license was of extreme importance to Robins for him to chase after him to ask for it outside the auction house. Robins had tried outbidding him but as the amount reached sixty million dollars, Robins had backed off.“Perhaps his system has special conditions that must be met before he is rewarded with any cash, otherwise a system user like Robins won't be so broke.” Christopher muttered. What he failed to understand was that his view of money had changed. In the past, a thousand dollars was already more than enough to put a joyful smile on his face.. Now he viewed sixty million as being broke. “What exactly am I going to do with the license anyway? It's not like I'm into crypto or stock trades.” Christopher mused as he patted his breast pocket where the items were kept.“Mister Bond, Sir. It seems we're being followed.” The chauffeur said. Christopher turned and glanced back. Behind them were t

How may I help you?” The female receptionist said while flashing a smile that seemed more seductive than professional. “I'm here for the auction, can you get me a room?” Christopher replied. “Do you have any reservation, Sir?” She asked. “No. Can I not get any room without a reservation?” “That's not what I meant Sir, just that almost all the rooms have been reserved in advance. The only free rooms are the top-tiers, and they cost a million dollars…” “I'll take it.” Christopher cu
