Chapter 3394
Author: Gu Lingfei
The Hunts had hurt the sisters too much.

Before Patrick made his visit, he already knew what Madam Tiara’s daughters had experienced.

His heart ached for Lisa, and he resented the Hunt family.

He also supported Serenity and Liberty in fighting for the house Scott and Lisa had left for them.

The house belonged to them. Built by their parents, the house held the memories of their childhood happiness. They would always recall times with their parents whenever they returned to that house. Those were the memories the sisters wanted to protect.

Therefore, the house could not be taken away.

The Hunt family had wronged Serenity and Liberty.

Not only did they become rich with the compensation they received for Lisa and Scott’s passings, but they also chased them out of the house and forcefully occupied it. Before Liberty and Serenity came of age, the Hunts tried to guilt-trip them into paying Old Mrs. Hunt’s hospital bills.

Oppressing the Hunts and pushing them into a corner was me

Alex walked toward them and lifted Callia into his arms.Callia stopped drinking her formula for a moment to greet her uncle. Alex placed a kiss on her cheek. He said, “I see you’re drinking your milk.”Callia paused again and lifted her bottle to Alex’s mouth. She stared at him with her big eyes, asking if he wanted some. She was generous enough to share her food with Uncle Alex.“I’m not drinking. You can have it all.”Callia continued drinking her formula after Alex refused her offer. She quickly finished the bottle as she was hungry and craving milk. After that, she handed the bottle to Alex, wanting him to wash it for her.He put her down and went to the bathroom to wash the bottle. By the time he was done, Grandma May already had Callia in her arms and was about to head downstairs.“Put Lil’ Pie down, Nana,” Alex called.Grandma May turned to look at him. She asked, “What’s the matter?”After putting the bottle back, Alex walked over and said in a serious tone, “

Of course, the nanny would head upstairs to take a look from time to time. She would not let Callia go downstairs herself. In a few minutes, Grandma May heard Callia calling for her mother in the room. “Are you awake, Lil’ Pie? Your mom has gone to work. Great-Nana is here.”Callia quickly exited the room when she heard Grandma May’s voice. Grandma May opened the door for her great-granddaughter. The little girl was still in her pajamas, looking a little dazed as she had just woken up. Upon seeing Grandma May, she reached out for a hug.Grandma May lifted her. Callia hugged Grandma May’s neck and said softly, “Great-Nana.”“I’m here. Are you wide awake? Do you want to sleep a little more?”Callia rested her head on Grandma May’s shoulder, clinging to her. Grandma May loved the feeling of being relied on. Callia shook her head. She had a great time last night. After arriving home, she fell asleep after her mother had bathed her. She did not even drink her formula and slep

While eating, he said, “Nana, you’re at such an age, yet your teeth are still so good, and you eat so quickly.”“The breakfast you prepared for me is soft and easy to digest, so of course I ate quickly.“I’ll wait for you outside. Hurry up.”As she spoke, Grandma May got up and left the dining room.Alex finished his breakfast as quickly as possible, leaving the dishes for his housekeeper to clean up.He picked up the cup of coffee he had not touched yet and drank it as he walked out of the dining room.It took him one minute to finish the coffee. Putting down the cup, he grabbed his car keys and headed out.Grandma May was sitting in the yard.Seeing him come out, Grandma May stood up, urging him, “Hurry up, hurry up. Lil’ Pie is about to wake up.”Alex walked toward the car, laughing, “Nana, I haven’t even digested my breakfast yet. You used to tell us we had to sit for over ten minutes after eating before doing anything else.”“You’ll be sitting while driving later. It won

Alex replied, “There’s nothing I can do about that, then. I was hoping that if Lil’ Pie was willing to stay here, you could stay with me for ten days or half a month, so I could fulfill my filial duties too.”Thinking about it, his little niece was just over a year old and really could not be separated from her parents. Moreover, Zachary and Serenity might not feel comfortable having their daughter stay with him. He did hold Lil’ Pie occasionally and played with her, but they had not had that much time together. Actually taking care of a young child could be annoying and require a lot of attention.Lil’ Pie was still young, curious about everything, and unaware of dangers. If some small accident happened, not only would he feel terribly sorry toward Zachary and Serenity, but he himself, too, would be heartbroken.“Oh, it’s enough that I know you are all very filial. Occasionally, I’ll come stay at your place for a night to hear about your progress with Sheila.”Alex laughed, “If I

Sheila knew the help he mentioned referred to the renovation. She felt that since Alex had been her patient and was now a neighbor, and he trusted her enough to ask for her help, she was willing to assist where she could.“That won’t do. You’ve helped me so much. If I don’t treat you to a few meals, I’ll always feel like I still owe you a lot of favors.”Sheila said with amusement, “When your apartment is done renovating, you’ll need to treat Mike and the crew to a meal. Just invite me along then. There’s no need to treat me separately.”When people hired renovation crews, they would usually treat the workers to a meal on the first day of work. They would probably treat them one or two more times during the process, and then again on the day the job is completed. That was what Sheila had done back then.Alex agreed, “That’s for sure. Sheila, you should go in and have breakfast. You have work soon. I’ll head back to make breakfast for Nana now.”Grandma May was probably already u

When Sheila went downstairs, she saw their cook, Pam, already preparing breakfast in the kitchen. She went into the kitchen to greet her.“Going for your morning run?” Pam asked with a smile. “You guys are really good at keeping it up. I just can’t stick with it, so I just keep getting fatter and fatter.”Sheila glanced at Pam’s waist and said, “Pam, you’re only slightly overweight. Controlling your diet and getting more exercise can help you lose it.“We’re used to morning runs. Pam, I’ll head out for a run now and be back in half an hour for breakfast.”“Go ahead. I’ve just started preparing breakfast. It should be ready by the time you get back. Dr. and Mrs. Jones also just went out for their morning exercise.”As she walked out, Sheila said, “Uncle Marvin and Aunt Enid just take a couple of laps around the park and do some line dancing with others before coming back. We take different routes.”She only ran and did not do any line dancing.Pam smiled. That was just how exerci

Reader Comments

Hi author. You make all the readers frustrated with your repeating old stories in almost every chapter. They have voiced out their frustrations and yet you are still doing it. Shame on you.

It’s getting tiresome now . Please heed the feedback author

this was a wasted chapter

Please stop doing a recap for people who haven’t given up on the story yet. I’m ready to because it’s ridiculous to tell the same stuff again just for filler!

This writer doesn’t give a da$n about us, who pay her to write! She repeats what we already know! I’ll make sure to mention that when I rate this writer and this dragged book!

STOP WASTING POINTS. If you don’t have more for the story then wrap it up. DONT keep repeating the earlier chapter. Bring Liberty home, please

First of all why did you waste my points talking about the Hunt sister last. For us to reach this chapter we already know about how terrible the Hunt was. You repeated it a lot in earlier chapter. We know the story obviously better than you did for you to say before they got up in age….

The Hunt sisters were already of age and married when they tried to get them to pay old Mrs Hunts hospital bills. Author you need to keep YOUR story straight!
