CHAPTER 11: NEW BEGINNINGS
The following day, we returned to the school.

Cedric and the other boys awaited their fate in the waiting room, their expressions troubled.

They all looked very disturbed, especially Cedric, who appeared pale and anxious.

“Sir, ma’am, please go in. Your son will come in if needed,” the secretary informed my parents.

My mum turned around and gently placed her hand on my face. “Don’t worry, Ed. We will resolve this matter.”

As my parents entered the office, I waited with the others.

“Why did you have to tell on us? We’re in this mess because of you,” one of them accused the boy who confessed.

“Don’t blame me, blame Cedric. He was the one who manipulated us,” the confessor retorted, his anger palpable.

Cedric remained silent, his head bowed in shame.

“Hey, Cedric, why did you do it? Your selfishness has now put us in a lot of trouble. If we get expelled, I swear I will make you pay, mark my words,” another boy warned ominously.

No one said anything again, and we all just waited in silence
