The admin lady stood up abruptly, and her chair scraped loudly across the tiled floor. The sound cut through the room’s idle chatter and drew the attention of a few students nearby.

“You’re… Jace Martin, right... Your passport matches your face, but are you sure it's you?” she asked again, her eyes widening.

"Yes," Jace nodded, blinking with confusion.

"Is there something wrong?”

“No, no, there is nothing wrong at all. But you’re not supposed to be here. You’re… you're a special category student.”

She quickly moved around the table and stood directly before him, her once fierce and audacious expression softened to something more respectful.

"Special category?" Adan mumbled under his breath, puzzled.

The woman gave a quick glance at the other admin staff, and they all appeared equally stunned. She handed the file back to Jace and said in a much calmer voice,

“You’re to be attended to directly by the college president. I’ll… I’ll escort you halfway, he’ll complete your

The next day, Jace sat at the back of the classroom, quietly observing his new classmates. Despite the chaos of the previous day, being assaulted, made a secret acting president, and discovering he now shared a room with Jack, he still showed up early, composed and unreadable. He didn’t speak, nor did he draw attention to himself. Dressed in his usual simple shirt and jeans, there was no presidential glow, no trace of the influence he now held, he looked just like any other student.Around him, gossip and news spread like wildfire, and it was one thing they all talked about.“Did you hear the president officially stepped down?” a girl with glittering earrings whispered excitedly. “He is graduating soon, so the position is open to everyone."“I wonder who’s next?” another chimed in. “It’s got to be one of the seniors. Or maybe Jane, I wonder why she hasn't taken up that role yet, considering that her father owns the school... it would be very easy to get it done."“Ugh. Obviously,” s

  • [55] I'm going to hate it here

The door to the dormitory clicked shut behind Jace, reducing the sounds of campus chatter coming from outside. The hallways were quieter on his way here, with sleek marble tiles, crystal-clear windows, and gold-plated numbers above each door. This wasn’t where scholarship students stayed. It was the elite block, where sons of governors and CEOs passed the time in silence, their air-conditioned rooms smelling of imported perfumes. As important as they may be, Tristan Coleman ensured that each student had a roommate, and the roommate doesn't have to be a close friend. This was to allow them to relate better with others without feeling too proud, and important. Surprisingly, it has been working fine so far. As Jace stood in front of room 7B, holding a slim keycard the president had handed him personally, his mind went back to the conversation he'd had with the president just moments ago. “We’re grooming leaders here, Jace,” the president had said. “You may be a fresh student, but

  • [53] First day in college 2

The grip on Jace’s collar tightened as the athletic boy towered over him, with rage burning in his eyes. It was clear from the start that he was either in a relationship with the girl in question or he potential love interest. “How dare you lay your filthy hands on her?” the boy growled, pulling Jace off his feet a few centimetres into the air. His strength was impressive, but Jace was unfazed. “I didn’t, you saw what she did...” Before Jace could finish, the boy punched Jace across the cheek, and the impact sent a jolt of pain down his spine. Gasps echoed around the hall as students watched from a distance. “Stop!” a student yelled, but no one dared intervene, not even the admin staff. It was almost as if they knew him and decided to avoid trouble. But, wasn't he a new student just like the others? Upon noticing all the attention she got, as well as defence from the hottest and most athletic new intake on campus, the girl clutched her wrist, her eyes gleaming with triumph. “

  • [52] First day in college

"The first day of college," Jace muttered, taking a deep breath and inhaling the seemingly fresh scent of the new environment he found himself in.Jace has heard so much about Tristan Coleman's university, but everything he has seen is much better than anyone could describe. The prestigious institution was framed by polished glass buildings and well-manicured lawns.TC was the kind of place that shimmered with the promise of opportunity, not just because that's how the brochures made it look, but because the worst graduating student from this institution stands a better chance at getting employed in big companies than an average citizen. It's not just an academy, but a hierarchy built on wealth, the kind of wealth anyone can sense from afar. Tristan Coleman, the founder, is known as the wealthiest man in the state and the twentieth wealthiest in the world. But truly, not even the wealthiest man on earth was as rich as he is. So when a man like that builds an institution, it's pretty o

  • [51] Level 2 !

Inside the aeroplane, Jace, who had now changed and his wounds tended, sat quietly beside the window with his eyes wide open. He couldn't believe how quickly he got his revenge on those who wronged him, as well as how much impact he had on the lives of a few people. Twenty minutes into the flight, Jace had been waiting for the system to announce his result for the Warrior/ Enforcer Path; he wanted to know the result for the last three tasks as well as the consequence for the one he failed. He also wants to know what the next roleplay would be, but he got nothing yet. No mechanical voice, no systems screen, just silence. "Are you okay, sir?" Max inquired, and in response, Jace nodded firmly. "Just tired still, mild headache and stuff, but it should be alright soon." After speaking, a puzzling question popped up in his mind. 'Would Max really be following me around in college?' [ No, unless you want him to ] The system screen popped up briskly, followed immediately by the mech
