"Oh my God Mc your life is about to change for real!" Michael shouted with so much excitement after his best friend told him everything Arjun Khan had said about his real identity. "I'm so happy for you man, I can't believe you've gone through all the hardship of life when your father is one of the richest people in the country!"

"We don't know that for sure yet!" Mc was calm and seemed to be in a pool of thoughts and not really present in that room.

"There's nothing a little DNA can't prove. That's all it takes." Michael's excitement wasn't tempered with. He just knew that the beginning of a good life has just come for his friend who was more like a brother to him.

"There's actually a problem, a very big problem man." he stood up and walked to the window while Michael followed him.

"What's the problem man?"

"Ethan Milburn who's supposed to be my dad, he has an adopted son. And now that I'm known to the heir, the adopted son takes me to be a competitor, he takes me to be a threat to what he believes is rightfully he's."

"Look at me Mc, it's not for him to decide."

"Well my life's at stake here!"

"What do you mean?"

"He tried to kill me yesterday, he sent some men after me last night at the train station."

"Oh No!" Micheal moved closer and put a hand on his shoulder

"I know you can fight so good Mc but don't tell me you killed them."

"They're playing a dirty game, I'm not playing by their rules yet, so I just beat the hell out of them and gave them a message to go give him."

Michael became worried, he thought everything would work out smoothly. In his mind, he assumed the true son to a wealthy man was found and the path will be all set for him to walk and assume the crown. But that crown was too precious to be assumed without competition, John Ethan, the arrogant adopted son of the Milburn family wasn't ready to let all the good fortunes given away to someone who's never lived in their home for a single second. "A real son? Who the hell is that?" John had screamed at one of his father's men who leaked the information to him, and since then, he's been working hard on doing away with Mc.

The night was cold and people wore jackets to keep themselves warm, the streets weren't crowded because it was late at night and the figure of Mc slowly approached 2 men who hid in a dark corner waiting just for him. They were bad guys sent by John on a second attempt to eliminate him and this time, they knew Mc took karate classes in the past and was good at kicking ass.

"Yeah I'm still on my way but I'll be home soon." Mc said to someone on the phone then ended the call immediately after noticing something fishy. "What the shit?" he asked himself after noticing some movements in the dark corner by the left, "Someone's right there," he said again then paused, all he wanted to know at this point was if whoever was in that darkness had a weapon or not. One step backwards and a bullet was fired at him but it missed him and the fast Mc took to his heels as fast as he could while the other people around ran for their lives also.

"Come on let's go after that sum' bitch, let's get him." One of the men shouted at the other and they came out of their hideout to run after Mc who had already taken a turn to the right.

"Look at him right there!" One of them said seeing him cross the road in a hurry. "Shoot him!"

Thaw! Thaw! Thaw! Shots were fired at him but he ducked down and took cover beside a parked SUV "Holy shit!" Mc exclaimed to the shock of seing a lifeless body on the floor beside a motorbike, he was shot by a stray bullet. He knew he had to think and he had to think fast. He peeped out from the car and saw the two men reloading their pistols and he hurriedly took off to the back of a clothing shop but the bad guys saw him and they didn't stop. They rushed there holding their pistols firmly ready to shoot but to their disappointment, they only saw darkness and no sign of Mc.

"That dude is extremely fast."

"I'm guessing he's lived a tough life all these years. I didn't know it'll be this hard to get him."

"How we gonna tell boss that we failed again?"

"The same way we always do!"

Mellisa sat in her quiet room watching the news with a pounding chest. She completely forgot how to wake up and spend a whole day without worrying about anything or having regrets about ever cheating on her husband.

"Mc wasn't my kind of man, he wasn't rich enough or popular enough but I really should've just avoided an affair. I'm in all this mess because I had a thing with Jeremy." The tears in her eyes didn't let her see clearly so she tried to clean it while wishing there was at least one person on earth who could be with her right now to console her and show her just how much they loved her and believed in her innocence, but she just remembered that she lost that person when she cut ties with Mc.

Her attention was caught when news about Jeremy's case finally came, the woman on the TV went "Police finally arrested Melissa Gabriel after she'd been on the run for more than two weeks. During her arrest, she cried and denied that she is not Melissa Gabriel and her actual name is Amanda Puth."

"Jesus Christ!" Mellisa was shocked to see a lady who looked exactly like her being arrested from the video on the news. She was speechless for over a minute before finally managed to ask herself "what in God's name is this? Who is this woman who looks exactly like me?" She didn't know what was going on, she bit the nail on her index finger to think for a while, she looked at the Celine then looked at the woman in the news again. "That's literally me, she is a perfect copy of me. What does this mean?" Her lips parted and her mouth opened in shock to the realization.

"Oh my God I have a twin sister!"

Fatigue was now part of her and she experienced frequent headaches, something that was said to be as a result of her pregnancy. “Yeah, but they have been released after the real killer was found and arrested right here.”“Right here in the country? How could someone die in France and the Killer will be right here?”“My God, have you been listening to the news lately? You're all lost Melissa. All you watch is Tiktok.”“Could you not criticise me and just update me? And besides I watch more YouTube shorts, not Tiktok.”“It was Alexa, Michael's girlfriend. The time finally came, Alexa was close to running away. She looked around the bustling airport, surrounded by the hum of chatter, the scent of coffee, and the distant announcements of departing flights.“Please Lord, please…!” She begged for luck. She could only pray that nothing went wrong. “I didn't mean to kill that man. I didn't mean to do it. He harrased me sexually and I kept hitting him out of fear. But who would hear me out? Who would believe me now? All they would say is that I'm a murderer. Oh my God!” She spoke to herself. Her suspicion of the authorities knowing her moves and trying to stop her were proven by a sudden announcement reverberated through the terminal. The authoritative voice over the intercom declared "The airport authorities have been notified that an individual with the name 'Alexa Chamberlain’ is currently under suspicion. We caution against allowing this person to board any flights. Security personnel, please be vigilant and take appropriate measures. Th

The early morning light cast a glow on the scattered clothes and hushed whispers of the night before.“I need some coffee. I definitely need something hot.” She said to herself making her way to the kitchen. As she walked staggering, the TV caught her attention, and her heart sank at the breaking news.“What the hell?”On the screen, the news anchor reported the arrest of her boyfriend Michael, Mc Ethan the billionaire and his girlfriend Miriam in Paris, the images showing flashing police lights and a sense of chaos.
