The death of Jeremy was on the lips of everyone as they went on with their day-to-day lives. Winxter Bank moaned about the death of their worker, Jeremy, and Melissa was nowhere to be found for over two weeks. As the investigation of Jeremy's murder got deeper, fingers pointed at her and she made a decision without telling anyone, not even her parents. She ran away just as Jeremy did after giving her and her entire family an STI, breaking her heart and her mother's, but what about her? She ran because she knew the evidence was completely against her, all eyes were on her as everyone believed she sent that text and was behind the murder.

"Before being killed, the young banker received an SMS from someone he broke their heart, someone who trusted him and gave him their heart, the person threatened to kill him." Mellisa heard a stranger speaking to another by the roadside as she walked back to the hotel room she'd been staying in for the past weeks. She had on some tight jeans which showed her perfect curves and a big black jacket with a hood to avoid identification because she was being looked for.

"The prime suspect is a coworker, the rumours say she had an affair with him outside her marriage, her marriage failed after she was caught cheating with him but then he later dumped her and she was devastated." The other stranger said back as their eyes fell on Melissa walking by.

For a minute, she thought they'd recognised her and she could feel her heart beat faster. The cops were looking for her and the last thing she wanted on this earth was to be seen by anyone who would give her up to the authorities. She almost ran off quickly before she heard one of them say "man... That's some cute ass right there."

"I could smack that all night."

“I wish her keys would fall just so she could bend to pick ‘em up ha ha.”

Hearing that, she could tell that the men were just hitting on her.

One of them walked behind her as she reached for the door to the reception room "hey cutie, you mind if I opened the door for you?" he asked, already opening the door with the most charming smile Melissa's seen in a while. This was not the right time to get to know anyone, she was on the run and it wasn't time to mingle.

"Thank you." She simply said with her head still down and her hood covering almost her eyes too.

"I stick around here so often but I've never seen you before. You're new here aren't you?" He walked in after her and then side by side as they climbed the stairs to Melissa's room.

"I come around sometimes, just don't get seen." She wanted to avoid conversations with this stranger so bad, but he seemed to be used to doing this all the time and his nice approach and friendly laugh made it hard to ignore him.

"Your kind is not seen here so often miss... Uh..." he wanted Melissa to say her name.

"Cara, Miss Cara."

"Lovely name for a beautiful lady. It's nice to meet you Miss Cara, I'm Anderson by the way." He extended a hand and Melissa reluctantly stretched forth hers to him and he took it calmly while looking straight into her eyes.

"Nice meeting you Cara, I'll see you around." He gave the last smile then took some steps back as he watched her turn the key in the keyhole.

Anderson closed the door after entering his very comfortable small apartment. Jacket thrown on the couch, shoes thrown to the corner of the room and he was already in the shower after taking the rest of his clothes off. The tall, dark and well built guy was so happy to have seen a lady who completely got his attention, something that hasn't happened since his lover left the city one year ago, all he had left of her was just three pictures of her in his phone, and Melissa had the exact body shape like her, “if only I could see her face clearly, she looked exactly like Miriam.” He Sang along with the music playing from his phone pretending to be on stage and waving at the audience while they cheered. It was a little one man party he started there before he got interrupted by a phone call.

"Hello boss." Anderson greeted

"You heard the rumours?" An old female voice asked over the phone.

"No boss, I haven't heard anything new."

"There's been rumours that the Melissa girl ran away and she's here in the city."

For a reason only both of them knew, Anderson became shocked.

"That means she's run right into our trap." They both laughed knowingly.

"Exactly! No one must know that we killed Jeremy, not even your most trusted friend or brother!"

"You've known me long enough, no one's gonna find out."

"Everything is working just fine for us, the authorities think she killed him and they're after her. So now that she's here you know what we have to do right?" She was confident He'll give the very answer she was expecting.

"We find her and hand her over to the police, she gets punished and we go free."

"Exactly Anderson, Exactly. Now tell your boys, tell them you've gotta find that little bitch, and find her real quick!"

Anderson was the leader among the three men who killed Jeremy that night and he works for a wealthy woman who gives him dirty jobs to carry on alone or with his team, and that's how he's been surviving.

Everyone believed that Melissa did the killing but she never did and she never knew that the innocent and good looking man who tried to get her attention that night was the one who actually pulled a trigger on Jeremy whose death has resulted to her being on the run.

On the other hand, Anderson never knew that the pretty lady with perfect curves he just had a crush on that evening, was the person he was supposed to find and hand over to the police. If only he knew, she'd just slipped right through his fingers. The bad guy didn't know that he'd gone falling in love with the woman he was supposed to frame for murder.

“Have you heard that Mc Ethan and his friends are back from Paris?” Melissa's mother asked, steering the hot pot on the new gas they got from the money Mc helped them out with months ago. “No I haven't, last time I checked they were still in France after being arrested.” Melissa adjusted in the chair she sat. Fatigue was now part of her and she experienced frequent headaches, something that was said to be as a result of her pregnancy. “Yeah, but they have been released after the real killer was found and arrested right here.”“Right here in the country? How could someone die in France and the Killer will be right here?”“My God, have you been listening to the news lately? You're all lost Melissa. All you watch is Tiktok.”“Could you not criticise me and just update me? And besides I watch more YouTube shorts, not Tiktok.”“It was Alexa, Michael's girlfriend. The time finally came, Alexa was close to running away. She looked around the bustling airport, surrounded by the hum of chatter, the scent of coffee, and the distant announcements of departing flights.“Please Lord, please…!” She begged for luck. She could only pray that nothing went wrong. “I didn't mean to kill that man. I didn't mean to do it. He harrased me sexually and I kept hitting him out of fear. But who would hear me out? Who would believe me now? All they would say is that I'm a murderer. Oh my God!” She spoke to herself. Her suspicion of the authorities knowing her moves and trying to stop her were proven by a sudden announcement reverberated through the terminal. The authoritative voice over the intercom declared "The airport authorities have been notified that an individual with the name 'Alexa Chamberlain’ is currently under suspicion. We caution against allowing this person to board any flights. Security personnel, please be vigilant and take appropriate measures. Th

The early hours of the morning finally arrived and Alexa was exhausted having spent the whole night moaning during lesbian sex with her friend Lucy. They had been touching each other almost every day since their first unplanned intercourse and it slowly became normal. Alexa tiptoed through the room, careful not to wake Lucy who was still sleeping from ecstasy-exhaustion. The early morning light cast a glow on the scattered clothes and hushed whispers of the night before.“I need some coffee. I definitely need something hot.” She said to herself making her way to the kitchen. As she walked staggering, the TV caught her attention, and her heart sank at the breaking news.“What the hell?”On the screen, the news anchor reported the arrest of her boyfriend Michael, Mc Ethan the billionaire and his girlfriend Miriam in Paris, the images showing flashing police lights and a sense of chaos. Shock and confusion set in, and Alexa's hands trembled as she clutched the coffee mug.“Oh no! My sec
