~Xavier
Five years into our relationship, I remembered it all with perfect clarity. Every morning I woke up early just to prepare and serve Isabella her breakfast. Whenever I handed her the plate, she would take it with a cold, downgrading look and say: “Alright, you can go ahead and leave already.” If it was raining and she still hadn’t left for school, I would drop whatever I was doing, rush to her apartment, hand her an umbrella, and walk back under the rain myself. Her only response was always the same: “You’re late.” And whenever she fell sick, I would hurry over with a cup of ginger tea so she could drink it and feel better. After everything I had done for her… she still held no real affection for me? Her affection rate had stayed locked at 1. Yet today, the moment she watched me spend large amounts of money, it suddenly jumped from 1 to 8. “Xavier! Xavier! Wait for me!” Isabella’s voice called out behind me. I turned and saw her trying to catch up. The closer she came, the hotter my anger burned. Isabella… Isabella. You are just so cruel. I muttered the words under my breath and walked straight toward the facial treatment area. Somehow Isabella and Carl still managed to catch up with us. The moment they arrived, Isabella looked at me with a new kind of respect—but I could clearly see the jealousy flickering in her eyes. That was just how she was. She always believed the world revolved around her. Even though she already had Carl, she still seemed to want my kindness. She looked uncomfortable that I was spending money on another girl. “Carl, my love,” she said, “I would love to get my facials done as well.” Carl frowned almost immediately, then forced a smile. “But I thought you already got your facials done last week, didn’t you?” Isabella shrugged. “Yes, I did last week, but I want another one this week. If he can give it to other girls, why can’t I get it too?” For a brief moment Carl’s face looked ‘forced’ rather than happy. It was clear he didn’t really want to agree, but in the end he gave a slight shrug and faked a smile. “Alright then, Isa. If you say so, I’ll do it for you. My family has a membership card at this salon. You’ll get the membership package.” A satisfied smile appeared on Isabella’s face. She turned to me, crossed her arms, and wagged her tongue. “What are you doing here, Xavier? This place is strictly Members Only. The membership package costs fifteen thousand dollars per person. Do you seriously think you can afford it?” Does she really still think I’m on the same level as her? I turned to the cashier and raised my debit card. “We would love the Supreme VIP package. Marie and I.” The instant the words left my mouth, Isabella left Carl’s side and charged toward me. “You want the Supreme VIP package? Are you out of your senses?!” Even Marie looked doubtful. She spoke respectfully. “I don’t think you should get the Supreme VIP package, Xavier. That’s a heavy amount… it’s very expensive.” I gave Marie a reassuring smile, then turned back to the cashier. “How much is the Supreme VIP package, Miss?” “It’s one hundred and four thousand dollars, sir.” I shrugged. “Alright then. We’ll take two—one for me and one for Marie. That’s two hundred and eight thousand dollars, right?” The cashier nodded. “Yes, sir.” I handed her my card. She scanned it. Payment Successful! Isabella’s and Carl’s mouths fell open the moment they heard those words. Isabella shook her head, eyes wide. “Huh…?! How on earth…? You afforded the Supreme VIP package? That’s over two hundred thousand dollars. How did you… how were you able to…?” The words stumbled out of her mouth in pieces. Then she spun toward Carl. “Carl, my dear, I also want the Supreme VIP package!” Carl brushed her hand off his arm. “No, Isabella. You’re only getting the membership package—because that’s what I can afford!” The sharp tone of his voice made Isabella’s face drop into a deep frown. If I had still been the one in a relationship with her and she had asked for this package, I would have done everything in my power to make sure she got it. But with Carl? I scoffed quietly. She could suit herself. Without another word I took Marie’s hand and smiled. “Let’s go.” Behind us Isabella’s voice faded as they were led into the neighbouring room for the membership package. “Why can’t I get the Supreme VIP package, Carl? It’s not like some random girl is getting it… it’s another woman…” On Marie’s and the hairdresser’s recommendation, I spent two hundred and fifty dollars on a British-style spiky and permed haircut. The style suited me perfectly and immediately elevated my appearance. Hairstyles, I realised, were even more important than clothing. Afterwards Marie and I received a full beauty treatment that lasted two hours. Marie clearly paid a lot of attention to skincare already, so there were no dramatic changes on her face. The changes on mine, however, were remarkable. Dirt, oil, dead skin cells and blackheads were completely removed. The treatment moisturised and hydrated my skin, leaving it smoother and more radiant. With the upgraded clothing, the new hairstyle and the clearer skin, my appearance reached its peak. I had transformed into a genuinely handsome man. The moment I stepped out, both Marie and Isabella shot to their feet. Their eyes widened and their lips quivered. “Wait… is that Xavier?!” Right then the system panel appeared in front of me and the synthetic voice rang out. [Marie’s Affection: +5] [Isabella’s Affection: +10] I looked at their faces filled with open admiration and couldn’t help a low scoff. “This is what it feels like to be rich. Instead of spending all the money on women, it’s better to spend it on myself… and watch every lady in the world fall for me. Hahaha…”Latest Chapter

~XavierWhen I turned and saw Isabella trying to catch up with me, I was genuinely stunned. This woman still hadn’t left? And wasn’t she supposed to be with Carl? Where had Carl gone? There was no need to give her any attention. I turned and kept walking.A hand suddenly grabbed my arm from behind.Isabella stood there, her face stiff. “Xavier, are you avoiding me or what?”Avoiding you? I scoffed and threw her hand off me. “I have important things to do. You’re not worth my time.”She closed the distance between us. “Are you angry with me, Xavier? And why are you shopping with Marie today? What’s the relationship between the two of you?”I gave her a cold look. “It’s none of your business.”“Xavier, you’ve changed!” Her voice turned more aggrieved. “You weren’t like this before.”I nodded without hesitation. “Because I’ve gotten smarter. I’ve changed.”Isabella continued, “I know I did things you didn’t like and never prioritized your needs. That hurt your feelings. But

~XavierI took Marie to the Royal’s Kitchen. Once we settled at our table, the waiter brought the menu and asked us to order.I didn’t ask Marie what she wanted. I simply ordered for both of us.I wasn’t going to be a simp who bought women whatever they asked for. Instead, I bought whatever I wanted to enjoy. I felt like seafood, so Marie would eat the same thing.Women were decorative objects and companions. I only took them along so I could enjoy life more fully. This way I could keep beautiful women by my side, showcase my abilities in front of them, and watch their Affection ratings climb—which worked entirely in my favor.Marie didn’t decline a single dish I ordered. We got grouper, Italian lobster with a rich Italian sauce, crab stew, and several other exquisite plates. The restaurant’s minimum was $266 per person, but my order easily exceeded $700. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It really was a high-end place with outstanding seafood. Marie ate until she was completely satisf

~IsabellaI blinked repeatedly at the figure standing in front of me, trying to make sense of what I was seeing. Was that really Xavier? Looking this handsome after just one haircut? The designer clothes, the cool, confident smile—everything about him suddenly looked far more attractive than I could even process.Xavier had never been this handsome while we were still dating. What had suddenly happened? How could he glow up this much in just one day of separation?I was still turning the thought over in my mind when Marie’s voice rang out.“Oh my God, Xavier. You look pretty hot! I’ve never seen a guy as handsome as you before!”When she said that, Carl immediately adjusted his own hair.Xavier gave Carl and me a dismissive look before turning to Marie with a light scoff.“Yeah, thank you for the compliment. You look even hotter than earlier. Such beauty… I have to admit it.”The words nagged at my chest. Why was Xavier complimenting her like that—as if she were some kind of godde

~XavierI waited patiently until Isabella had finished underestimating me all the way down the corridor, then calmly handed the cashier my debit card. Of course it was loaded with cash. The moment the machine beeped—Payment Successful!—the confident smile on her face vanished. Her mouth opened, closed, then opened again, but no words came out. Even Carl’s face showed how shocked they both were.I decided to twist the knife a little deeper. When the cashier handed my card back, I smiled at them.“Sorry… what did you say again? That I cannot afford one hundred thousand dollars?”Isabella’s face drained of colour. She shook her head in panic.“No way. You’ve got brokeness written all over you. You’re always dressed in worn-out clothes. How were you able to afford one hundred thousand dollars?! You are…”She stopped mid-sentence. Her eyes trailed over my outfit from head to toe. She pointed at me.“Wait… hold on! Those are all designer brands. How did you afford the money to buy all of t
