My Enchanted System

Chapter Seven

A faint, unfamiliar voice echoed in his mind."SYSTEM INITIALIZING"

He shook his head. "What was that?". It was as if the system sensed trouble.

"Riley, grab the hammer and come join me to work" his grandfather, Mr Daniel said.

Just as he was about to pick up the hammer, a deafening roar shook the ground.

The walls trembled, screams filled the air, Riley and his grandfather froze.

"What's that noise?" Riley rushed to the window. His heart stopped.

The sky turned black with smoke. Buildings crumbled. Fire rained from above. The streets were filled with chaos.

"Grandpa... it's happening again"

Outside, massive creatures tore through the weak habitat.

A black scaled dragon with glowing red eyes spewed fire onto the houses, burning them to ashes.

Sea monsters with humanoid figures and glowing blue skin dragged screaming people into the flooded streets.

Shadow crawlers lurked in the dark corners, whispering into people's minds, driving them insane before slaughtering them.

Panic took over the village, people ran for their lives.

"We need to leave," Mr Daniel said, grabbing Riley's wrist.

They pushed through the chaotic streets, dodging falling debris and people desperately searching for safety 

But fate had other plans. A sea monster taller than any man, its body covered in razor sharp scales lunged from an alley.

Bekfr Riley could react, it swung its massive claw.

CRACK!

"Grandpa!", Riley screamed as his grandfather was slammed to the ground.

The sea monster loomed over him, raising its claw for the final blow.

Something inside Riley snapped. "!!"

Suddenly something happened 

"SYSTEM ACTIVATED"

A surge of energy exploded from within him. His veins glowed, his vision sharpened and he felt power like never before.

"HACTIC BLAST ACTIVATED"

A bright shockwave of energy burst from Riley's outstretched hands.

BOOM!

The sea monster's body erupted into a thousand pieces, its limbs scattering across the Battlefield.

Silence followed, everyone, including the monster stared at Riley in shock.

His hands still glowed with power, Riley himself stood frozen.

"Did...I just do that?" He muttered.

"Riley..." His grandfather coughed, Riley shook off his shock and rushed over.

"Grandpa, are you okay?" He helped him up

More roars filled the air.

The black dragon and the remaining shadow crawlers had noticed him

They turned toward him, ready to attack.

"SYSTEM FULLY ACTIVATED"

A screen displayed before Riley. His body felt lighter, stronger and he could see clearer, move faster.

NEW ABILITIES UNLOCKED

HACTIC BLAST 

LIGHTNING REFLEXES 

GLOWING BLADE 

PHASE STEP

SYSTEM SHIELD 

Riley's eyes widened."I don't even know how to use this" Riley muttered.

"Riley, look out!" His grandfather shouted.

The black dragon roared, breathing fire straight at them. Without thinking, Riley vanished

"PHASE STEP ACTIVATED"

He reappeared behind the dragon. The monster barely had time to react before Riley swiped his hand across the system screen.

"GLOWING BLADE SUMMON"

A sword of pure blue energy materialized In his hand. The blade filled with power.

"Whoa.mm" Riley said in surprise. The dragon charged at him, its flaws aiming for his chest but Riley was faster.

"LIGHTNING REFLEXES ACTIVATED"

He dodged in a blink and sliced through the dragon's wing in one swift motion.

SLASH!

The beast howled in pain, collapsing onto the street.

But Riley wasn't done. A group of shadow crawlers hissed, their bodies between reality and illusion.

They tried to invade his mind, but the system warned him.

"MENTAL RESISTANCE ACTIVATED"

The whispers did nothing, Riley let out a dark smile.

"My turn." He said before raising his palm.

"HACTIC BLAST"

BOOM!!!

A pulse of energy obliterated the Shadow crawlers, erasing them from existence.

The few remaining monsters stared at him in fear before running off.

For years, the weak habitat has been nothing but prey. But now they had Riley.

The battle was over, Riley stood in the wreckage, panting, his hands still glowing with untapped energy.

The villagers watched in awe. "Did Riley just defeat them?", "alone?".

"How...? What is he? They all whispered among themselves.

His grandfather placed a hand on his shoulder, his eyes filled with both pride and disbelief.

"Riley...what have you become?" His grandfather asked.

Riley clenched his fists, he didn't know but one thing was clear...he was no longer weak.

Mr Daniel knew Riley had potential but this display of skill seems far beyond what someone with no ability like Riley should be capable of. Riley, however, remains calm, quietly thanking his system for guiding him through the battle. As he walks away, the once bullied weak human has earned a new respect from his habitat, though he knows he must remain cautious to avoid revealing too much too soon.

"Well done Riley" master duke said from a distance.

Riley turned around to see who said that, he was surprised to see master duke and his hunters in the weak habitat.

As the dust settles from the battle, master walks over to Riley, his expression was mixed with surprise and curiosity as he was sure Riley didn't have any ability. He had been watching Riley for some time but what he just witnessed was far beyond what he expected from a weak human.

The precision and efficiency of Riley's moves caught master duke off guard. He had seen that kind of technique and ability before.

"Riley, that move you pulled off against those monsters.where did you get that?' master duke asked, his voice filled with concern.

Riley, who was still catching his breath, wipes the sweat from his forehead, trying to hide his nervousness. He knows he can't tell master duke the truth about the system. If the master duke or anyone else found out, it could raise dangerous questions and he wasn't ready to reveal his secret.

"Oh, that?, it's just something I've been practicing. You know from all the training I've been doing" Riley said as he was trying to maintain his composure.

Master duke's eyes narrowed slightly, clearly unconvinced. He crossed his arms as he moved closer to Riley.

"I've been watching you for a while ever since you got rejected and I've never seen you pull off something like that. You took down those monsters and his minions with swift moves that most hunters struggle with. That's not something you just pick up overnight, Riley " master duke said calmly.
